Excellent review. I've been looking at 360 cameras for a while now. I was eyeing the insta 360 pro for business work (a client asked me to do some VR Tours) but this is under a third of the price and looks amazing!!!!!!

I've been looking at software too. I've been trying the Kolor software trial version. It's cool... But, their tutorials suck. 3D vista is half the price and looks promising. It's all sooo damn much to look at and figure out though... Mistika is pretty freaking incredible too... but, expensive.
Yeah for me that was too much work to start considering new software and spending more money on it.
Great video, funny insights. Another option might be the Rylo, the workflow is much faster, you don’t even need a computer.

At 12:59 the issue when exporting a file for editing, is that GoPro own and use CineForm as a lossless codec; it is brilliant and allows editing even on slow hardware BUT as you've experienced isn't supported by most PCs out of the box. CineForm is part of the GoPro Studio workflow, and in olden days when you installed Studio, CineForm was also installed and was then an available codec inside some editing applications. It is freely available.
GoPro's competence with software is evident here; after buying CineForm Studio, and turning it into a steaming pile of rubbish that hardly ever worked reliably (or at all) and which they've never been able to show any interest in fixing, it now seems their goal is to do the same with Fusion Studio. The forum discussions about the software are very revealing; this stuff is a long way from being usable. It is all a real shame, because the ability to quickly get viewable output from easily used templates in GoPro Studio was awesome. I have doubts that GoPro are going to stick with this long enough to get it sorted, maybe the new owner will change that.
2 SD cards? It is almost as if, in a rush to get the camera out to market, they decided to actually put the guts of 2 GoPro cameras into the same case. Requiring 2 cards and having to maintain a folder structure throughout the workflow is going to be beyond many people's patience or abilities.

The grip is not electronic but I don't know for sure. Best to ask Gopro.
Noticed the stitching makes you appear to be an amputee where your holding the selfie stick or boom pole.
No that's just my fist. You don't see my fingers because I'm holding onto the pole so you just see the top of my hand. But with some cameras it looks much worse at the hand.
