Is that for paid attendance only? Because Simon and Garfunkel dwarfed that number with an estimated 500,000 plus at their Central Park concert in 1981. And Garth Brooks nearly doubled that with close to a million people in 1997. All concerts in Central Park of course are free and there's virtually no limit to how many people can get into that wide open field
Rod Stewart in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, December 31, 1994-January 1, 1995 for free concert with 3.54 million people. Largest paid concert attendance September 6, 1997, Jean-Michel Jarre in Moscow approximately 3 million.
Incredible vocals on this song. It was the first time I'd heard Tina sing and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So powerful, incredible range, and so emotive. Amazing!
Hi. She is simply the best. I know you listened to this a while ago, but I can’t get enough of listening to Tina. Sadly she left us this year. I think watching her live performance at Wembley Stadium will really give you a thrill.
Saw her in concert in 1985, by the end of the show , she barely broke a sweat, the audience however was exhausted from all the cheering. I have seen many singers perform in my 64 years, she truly is the best!!! Please , we need more Tina and more often!!! For a softer side of Tina, check out PRIVATE DANCER.
A good friend of hers convinced her to go to a pilates class once years ago.. By the end of the 2 hours class, the instructor was wiped out, and Tina hadn't even started to sweat yet!
In my opinion she’s-singing about herself…”simply the best !” She’s also simply amazing through the years dealing with the different problems she went through with Ike Turner her husband! The movie you definitely want to see is “What’s Love got to do with it!”
Love Tina Turner!!! I think you already reacted to her Proud Mary, but to really experience Tina Turner, her Wembley Stadium Farewell Concert in 2000 is just epic!! Her Proud Mary performance is just iconic!! Its worth another reaction. Anything from that concert is.
I was fortunate enough to see her perform Proud Mary live 4 times. Even during her final tour and no energy was lost. Also Nutbush City Limits where she is on the crane over the audience is worth a watch.
It’s one of the all-time great concerts. And by the end of the show she’s still belting along at full speed while her backing dancers are getting visibly tired. Absolutely incredible performer.
I couldn’t help but smile when you were both talking about this song not being as amped up as Tina’s normally are. Here in Australia this song was basically the theme song of our football season. It was played constantly and never failed to get out footy fans amped up and raring to go.
Classic song for all to know! My mom came back from a rain soaked concert in the early 90s but naturally she said it was completely worth it. When she died, I suddenly couldn't stop listening to this song during the next day's.
I had my friend in LA buy some flowers and drive over 2 Hollywood 4 me and put the flowers on Tina Turner’s star that’s on the ground this past weekend. Much Respect 4 her. May she RIP!
This song is an anthem and one of her most famous singles. Tina is amazing and has influenced a lot of artists that appeared after her. Her personality and voice are so unique and on top of that she’s released loads of great songs. Thank you for this reaction. ❤️❤️
Hiya..you to have to watch her sing this with Jimmy Barnes...both gritty voices. Tina is awesome. In Aussie land this song used to be our footy song. At the St George Grand Final we all sang along with her. We love Tina.
Another great one! Tina's longtime collaborator on sax was Tim Cappello, who actually had his own song featured in "The Lost Boys" movie. They worked together many times, and I'm always amazed. Oh, and my favorite song, is "We Don't Need Another Hero" which could tie into Friday Movie Day since it was the theme song for "Mad Max: Thunderdome"
Yep, Tina's voice on WE don't need another Hero is dripping with emotion. She really hit the note on that tune, & It's my favorite Tina tune. pure gold. I also love some of Her old stuff like Bootsy Whitelaw, & Whole lotta love, & others, she did with Ike.
I agree with Jane. That's Edgar Winter playing on this one but Tim is her incredible long time Sax man and makes an appearance with her in the vid "One of the Living". He's dynamite on stage.
TINA TURNER... HAS SOLD MORE CONCERT TICKETS THAN ANY OTHER FEMALE RECORDING ARTIST IN HISTORY (200,000,000+)! SHE IS THE UNDISPUTED QUEEN OF ROCK & ROLL!!
I ❤ Tina turner she in my era 80’s I absolutely agree with you her voice is wild but little bit of softness she has been through a lot in her personal life but NOW she is free , happy , in love she can be Tina turner , Anna Mae whoever she wants to be cause she can get it !
She is great! You should check out her version of this with Jimmy Barnes ( a legend of Australian music), I might be bias but I think it's even better! His voice is amazingly powerful and goes great with Tina's.
Tina needs to be experienced live to appreciate her magnificence! Her Wembley tour was incredible, Proud Mary, Better Be Good To Me, Nutbush, Addicted to love - if you haven’t already you need to react to this concert otherwise you are truly missing out!
Tina Turner is amazing, she has sold over 200 MILLION records worldwide, and sold more concert tickets than any solo artist, even Michael Jackson. I remember this song in 1989, and i loved the grove in it…i was a metal head, but dang she was amazing.
A must see duet suggested below is Tina and Jimmy Barnes do this song. Straight up FIRE! I think we need a duet night!!! Not sure any other reactors have a duet night!!!! Ya'll are simply the best!!!
Nice! You really can't go wrong with Tina Turner. Whenever I hear Tina Turner I remember when my dad borrowed my car and had a group of Christians in it and in the tape deck was Tina Turner's greatest hits. I was a teenager at the time and he was upset when "Steamy Windows" came up. I told him he didn't have to listen to the tape and could have taken it out. Thankfully he they didn't hear "Private Dancer". I also reminded him that he actually bought the CD for me. I still love listening to Tina! Definitely one of the best!
Tina was one of a few singers who sounded the same live as she did on recordings and man could she put on a show. My favorite songs are "I Can't Stand The Rain", "What's Love Got To Do With It", her duet with Brian Adams "Its Only Love"..I'd better stop if I keep going I'll name them all.. RIP Tina. Thank you for the music.
Tina does this song as a duet with Australian artist Jimmy Barnes. Been wanting you guys to do Jimmy Barnes for a long time. He does alot with John Farnham. Both men Australian music royalty you could say.
The video of her arriving at Wembley, on her 70some birthday, legs getting out of the limo, then walking up the aisle, and taking the stage, with this song playing is phenomenal. IMO, Simply the best.
I love that one! Didn't know what the venue actually was. Everyone losing their mind to that well known musical beat as she's making her way in and to the stage🤩
Tina's musical director when touring was John Miles, a great musician here in the UK who had hits in the 70s. See his classic worldwide hit 'Music' (live from summer proms). Be well!
There's a new HD compilation of her performing River Deep at several venues, showing her fantastic true power and energy. When its over you just stare into space. It's fantastic!
Please, in honor of my queen, my goddess Tina Turner, please dedicate three songs in her memory. We have lost an incredible human being, an original, a voice like no other…RIP Tina🙏🏽💔😞
A writer for Playboy once wrote: "After 50 years, only two things have reached perfection-Tina Turner's legs." Pure nostalgia trip everytime I hear Tina Turner. She is still my Mom's favorite singer. Growing up, my Mom would be making dinner, dancing around the kitchen to her playing in the background. Brings back memories. Such an amazing performer & singer, that Tina Turner!
You know a performer is world class when they just keep getting better with age. One of the best performances of all time is her live at Wembley stadium performing Proud Mary in the 1980s. Absolute magic & so much better than when she performed it on the 1970s.
"The Best" was originally recorded by another powerhouse, Bonnie Tyler. Tina covered it a year later. She released it as the lead single from her album Foreign Affair and it became an international success, hitting the top-five in numerous countries. It's one of Tina's most recognizable songs. It was used in a Pepsi commercial as promo for her Foreign Affair: The Farewell Tour (sponsored by Pepsi). The single is also an iconic anthem for the National Rugby League in Australia. Please react to Tina Turner - "Private Dancer" and "I Don't Wanna Fight."
Tina Turners concert is the best female artist I have ever been to, she was amazing, so full of energy & joy ! I have read that her concerts with David Bowie, and with Mick Jagger are out of this world and then there is Tina & Bryan Adams that I have watched & they compliment each other 💕☮️😻🇨🇦
The biopic of her life and career with Angela Basset and Laurence Fishbourne , What’s Love Got to do With It,is amazing and inspiring
Now that's a movie they should react to!
I really liked it too!
Yes, I loved that movie.
Great movie!
A must watch movie but such a hard watch if your a Tina fan. Breaks my heart to think of her treated like that. Don’t scuff the diamond!
Tina has the Guinness World Record for crowds for a single act. In Rio de Janeiro 180,000 people went to see her perform.
Well it was in 1988, but that record has been broken several times since.
Is that for paid attendance only? Because Simon and Garfunkel dwarfed that number with an estimated 500,000 plus at their Central Park concert in 1981. And Garth Brooks nearly doubled that with close to a million people in 1997. Tina Turner is definitely on my favorites list .♥️You have to see her with Bryan Adams live singing "It's Only Love ". 🔥🔥
lol you beat me to it!!! that song is ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Absolutely! I love that performance of her with Bryan Adams!!🔥🔥🔥 Especially the 1985 live version!!!
I couldn't agree more!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Great song and brilliant duet!!!
I was about to suggest it, too!
This lady has it, and always has. She's phenomenal. Another good one by her is River Deep Mountain High.
My favorite Tina song!
Incredible vocals on this song. It was the first time I'd heard Tina sing and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So powerful, incredible range, and so emotive. Amazing!
Absolutely one of the most memorable hooks of the 80s. Terrific song.
Hi. She is simply the best. I know you listened to this a while ago, but I can’t get enough of listening to Tina. Sadly she left us this year. I think watching her live performance at Wembley Stadium will really give you a thrill.
Yes, I was going to say the same thing. They should watch "Proud Mary" from Wembley Stadium.
A talent that we were never see again. Tina was one of a kind.
Tina is and forever shall be…simply the BEST ever
One of the most amazing things about this song and this era of her career, is she is 50 YEARS OLD in this video! She is incredible!
Still had legs like a stallion, hence the video concept. 😍😍😍
Had a luck to see Tina live in 1996. Awesome show, to remember forever.
This was a motto of our principal and she used to blast this song over the loudspeaker between classes
This is my favorite of all her songs.
Once she went out as a solo performer, Tina has never had a bad song.
Saw that show in 85. Was amazing! Mister mister opened for her.

I listen to her on the regular all the old hits! never gets boring unlike some of the songs today.
At this point she was still riding the wave of having the best comeback in music history. Such a class act. And everyone loved her. ❣
Yeah, she was absolutely huge at that time. Almost a peak-Elvis level of popularity.
Tina Turner "PRIVATE DANCER". ❤️❤️

I was at that farewell concert at Wembley Stadium :) She danced over my head on the extending crane platform and waved down at me lol. Quite a memory.
That's THE ONE! Hard to quantify a best version of any of her performances but that one blew the place apart!
It’s one of the all-time great concerts. And by the end of the show she’s still belting along at full speed while her backing dancers are getting visibly tired. Absolutely incredible performer.
An incredible performer and raw beauty. Her legs were insured for 3.2 mil back in the day. That lady is the definition of cool. 👍
So sad at her passing. There will never be another one like her. RIP Tina and thank you for sharing your life and talent with the World. ♥♥♥♥♥
Tina electrified the crowds!
I couldn’t help but smile when you were both talking about this song not being as amped up as Tina’s normally are. Here in Australia this song was basically the theme song of our football season. It was played constantly and never failed to get out footy fans amped up and raring to go.
It's like a volcano rumbling with power and then erupting
Back in the Winfield Cup days, how good was that competition 😎
Great promotion, it was on all the time in Aussie Rules dominant WA.
