With the news dropping about a possible Power Rangers Movie by Paramount, we begin to take a look at who may fit well into the new Power Rangers Universe! Several Cobra Kai actors come to mind but maybe others as well! @Deoxy360 and I discuss in detail!

I'll be honest. The problem with the Power Rangers fanbase is that the majority ALWAYS focus on Tommy. I get it; he's a popular character, and he was awesome... but he was only the cherry on top of what was already a popular series. I grew up when Power Rangers first aired, and the franchise hit me at the right age and time. But when I think of Power Rangers, I think of the core five, then the sixth ranger... not just Tommy.
The fanbase automatically combines JDF, the actor, with his character, Tommy, and can't even separate the two. If JDF wasn't cast as Tommy and someone else played the character... would Tommy still be popular? Maybe. Just my humble opinion.

I think there should be actors who take on the role of the characters, hell it's already happening, just look at the cast of Rita's Rewind, there's already another actor playing Tommy Oliver after JDF's passing (shocker I know!). Also imagine saying Superman should have ended with Christopher Reeve or Batman ends with Kevin Conroy.

I just don’t want another MMPR I would prefer a brand new season with new characters. If they are named after the original characters in a way I would be fine with it

I think the person who they got for Carly in the Transformers Bay films would be a good pink Ranger, and Shia LaBeouf would be a good red Ranger.
They are much older and more expensive

Cobra Kai for PR, NO THANKS. Yes, they are martial artists, but we need actual actors for the reboot to work. Most of the Cobra Kai actors are not great, with the exception of Xolo. Since when do we need our actors to be martial artists in action movies? They can learn a few moves and use stunt doubles.
Also, PR fans need to let go of what's come before when considering what comes next. I understand the nostalgia and specific interests in characters and storylines as fans, but a new PR reboot won't be for us. It's going to be for the potential new generation of PR fans. They will lure us in with anything PR honestly, and lure in the casuals with MMPR visuals/beats.
We definitely talk about that here. Although many of the Cobra Kai actors have gotten incredibly better in 7 years of the show
stunts performers often make poor actors
Depends on the stunt performers. Look at Simu Liu
Try finding more than one. Look at Carano, too realistic with no real acting talent
