Though I think MF had a hard job in general because it's basically Harry Potter power rangers and Magiranger also was pretty meh imo. As for why shows can vary in quality so drastically, PR production is basically always terrible with poor budgets so, it's almost always a fluke if they're good. Shows how passionate the crew are to be able to churn out anything coherent ever, let alone and a pretty consistent rate. @@theninjamaster67
I met David Yost at a convention a few years back and had a chat about seeing him as a hero both on TV and always as a Ranger to fans now, and I won't forget that handshake after he heard it cause it was just full of warmth and thanks and he's such a lovely person
I knew all about David Yost's departure and return to the franchise before watching this, but I wasn't expecting to have such a raw and emotional reaction to it, identifying with both the character when I was a kid, and the actor as an adult. I'm happy he was able to make some peace with the franchise and do a full return.
@bigjalapeno7061 Which was the reason why MMPR had the casts switched regularly. They were forced to work overnight with less payment. Saban even said "people care about the costume than the actor wearing it".
The thing about Turbo is that it was adapting Carranger which was a self spoof series where the show wasn't meant to make sense and was for fun. The problem came down to Turbo was that they took it seriously when it wasn't supposed to be and the plot about blue was an exclusive thing to PR as there are only a few times a kid was a ranger. Only enough the Gold Ranger was a kid in the original show and he was named King Ranger and the White Ranger in MMPR was also a kid and was named Kiba Ranger.
The reason for the weirdness in the ranger footage is that Chouriki Sentai Ohranger had some major production issues. Ohranger premiered on March 3, 1995 and was supposed to be a darker more serious series which can be seen in the early episodes. And then less than three weeks into the show's run, a cult called Aum Shinrikyo carried out a Sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway, ending 14 lives and injuring 1050 more. This cause Toei to pull the drag chute HARD and completely pivot the show into a sillier affair with go kart chases, baseball, and a dancing Red Puncher mecha. Ohranger would go on to be the lowest rated Super Sentai series up to that point and nearly killed the franchise, had it not been for its toy sales which were some of the best in franchise history thanks to the unprecedented large lineup of mecha and roleplay toys. The next year's series Carranger leaned into the silliness and would go on to save Super Sentai, dominating in ratings and toy sales.
One correction Ohranger didn’t almost kill sentai That crown actually goes to live man It was only thanks to what is considered the greatest sentai of all time jetman that sentai was saved from cancellation
@@brandonspencer5594 Jetman might have corrected for Fiveman and kicked off Sentai's great heisei run, but it is far from being considered "greatest of all time". They still were at that weird deal where episodes weren't even 20 minutes long and the plot is all over the place. The only reason Jetman is fondly remembered is because it was heavily written like a soap opera with plenty of things for shock value like on screen deaths, romantic triangles and plot twists; but the tone of the plot beats are some of the all time goofier (The episodes with Ramen God and Crystal Ball monsters are so awful they are unintentionally hilarious). Kaori and Ryu both were Mary Sues, Ako is completely overshadowed, Raita is written like a punching bag and Gai's write off is almost pathetic. No show had better ratings than Gorenger did, and toy sales wouldn't really blow up until late 90's when they really learned how to space out character introductions and quarterly toys, not to mention they finally had overseas revenue. Ever since the advent of the internet and streaming, ratings have since become a dated metric, but it's noticiable that seasons starting from the year 2000 have much greater followings and acceptance and sales of new material and legacy items. Hurricaneger has always done excelent, as did Dekaranger. Shinkenger was a beast. Gokaiger hasn't stopped being brought back since release. Kyoryuger did so well it got a Korean spinoff and plenty of specials. Even seasons that people meme'd on for being "unpopular" had big moments, like Patranger vs Lupinranger having a whole season marathon on new year's, which doesn't usually happen. This year's King-Ohger has been getting nonstop praise from japanese outlets.
Machine Empire in Ohranger has manages to completely raze both New York City and Paris First 8 episodes of Ohranger is better than the rest of the season
Poor Brad Hawkins, btw. First he loses the chance to be the White Ranger (because Tommy was too popular), then his show (in which he played the role originally intended for Jason David Frank) got cancelled without a proper finale, and then he got to voice a power ranger, only for his unmorphed form to be some other guy split into three (to give the series credit they cast actual triplets for the Treys).
It makes me so happy that David Yost finally got what he deserved. That's sounds ominous but I mean it in a good way. I grew up with that og team , and it honestly brought a tear to my eye to know they brought him back as a mentor and leader. I really hope you keep going with this series. I've never seen past Mighty Morphin, so I'm loving this.
Did some digging on the actress who plays "Heather, the famous snowboarder". Her name is Sarah Brown and she played Kaitlyn Star on VR Troopers. Since then, she's done General Hospital from 96'-09', The Bold and the Beautiful from 09'-11', and Days of Our Lives from 11'-12'
In the comics Kimberly didn't actually fall on love with someone else. She just moved on with her life but she thought it would've been easier for Tommy if she just wrote saying she fell in love with someone else.
That… I don’t know if it’s better or worse tbh. Just he honest with your partner instead of lying. Yeah I get they’re teenagers, but they’re so damn mature for their age.
@@ghostfakekiller4201 to elaborate Kimberly realized that while she’s returned to normalcy Tommy will never be able to pry his identity away from being a Power Ranger (something very much supported by the Dino Thunder episode “Fighting Spirit”). It wasn’t just her falling out of love it was her realizing their lives were on separate tracks now
Zeo and Turbo suffered under similar pacing: the first halves was too restrained on villain involvement and stuck to civilian life. The second half of these seasons bring in more villain conflict mixed with ranger issues, often done too late for people to notice. Turbo got all the hate for its changeups, but Zeo was equally unremarkable with how slow it took to get anything done.
But at least for Zeo, the cast actually wanted to act, while in Turbo: A PR Movie and especially Turbo, the late JDF wanted out of PR, and thus Tommy suddenly started having a hobby in racing….for reasons- and always came to the fight late. And as for the rest of the rangers in their civillian lives , their focus was so distorted, and sometimes they barley appeared unmorphed…. Except for Justin….
@@legofanaditya Even by Zeo, they were making moves to replace old cast, hence Billy's two departure episodes. They (same creative team for Zeo & early Turbo) tried doing more civilian Ranger stories in both seasons...that dragged and lacked on screen chemistry. Justin got the visual target, but the show overall dragged on mismanaged storytelling. It took until Linkara's PR reviews for folks to see that.
@@user-vi4xy1jw7e he's the new, kid Turbo ranger to bring in new viewers. Fans saw and hated Justin exclusively, despite Turbo having bigger creative flaws without him.
In the comics, they actually touch on the rocky and Jason relationship more. With rocky saying he felt inferior because despite being Jason replacement and red ranger, he was at best third in command. especially since there were two previous reds in the comics besides Jason and they automatically assumed command when it happened. Doesn’t help that Jason coming back automatically assume second in command
I love the fact in the comics the zeo rangers are considered a last resort by other ranger teams because their powers get stronger Everytime they use them. So by 5 or six seasons later you only need one zeo rangers to stop most things they are called in for
When I was a kid I always assumed that I must have missed episodes at the end of Zeo or something. "Giant rangers fight Mondo, then Zedd and Rita bomb the Machine Empire" seemed like such an abrupt ending out of nowhere. Even more so when it changes over to Turbo right after and they basically abandon the Zeo powers for no reason just because... they need cars to get to this magic island, I guess? Apparently the only thing I remember about early Zeo is Bulk and Skull finding amnesiac Goldar and Rito. None of those monsters-of-the-week or the episode plots around them seemed familiar to me. Pretty much all the Gold Ranger related episodes, the bits with Louie Kaboom, and finding Auric are all really familiar, though. I think I vaguely remember Prince Gasket and some of the "Machine Empire brainwashing Tommy" plot too, and I definitely remember Billy's rapid aging and leaving Earth. But hardly anything before the Gold Ranger showed up seems to have "stuck" in my mind. Bulk and Skull's fight scene but with serious music swapped in was great.
I liked the Zeo costumes. MMPR was just color and white diamonds. These guys had similar color breakdowns a nd a lot of nice looking gold trim and their upper body triangle+trim is reminiscent of tbe Green Rangers shield "Stronger than before" they all look like fancy green rangers
Zeo is one of my all-time favorite series of the Power Rangers franchise. The stakes were so much higher and the Rangers were growing up plus it was great to see the Machine Empire battle the Rangers. The only minus was Billy's decrease in his role (which includes the awful treatment due to the staff).
Tanya was a straight up queen, and I think the show did a good job of giving her her moments in spite of the lack of Japanese footage. When I was a kid I noticed that she never really had a monster finishing moment, but her acting and focus episodes more than made up for it. Also, Billy will always be my favorite ranger, because aside from Tommy his actions affected the greater Ranger universe more than almost everyone, like setting a precedence for humans being able to make weapons using the grid, as well as him setting the blueprint for other smart rangers.
David Yost, Billy, is my favorite ranger. That interview was the first time I heard all that. When he went to power morphicon for his first convention, he spoke more in detail and I'll admit I did tear up.
So excited to see you doing the rest of the Zordon era. Ill be interested to see the Turbo stuff cause most of my interactions with that were with the movie. Space will be the really exciting one once you get there though.
These PR retrospectives have been so fun. I don't know if you're going to cover the whole series, since there's A LOT of seasons, but I look forward to your videos on Turbo and In Space, at least.
@@provide_rto me that's my favorite season of anything post Zordon. It had everything a season should have, teenagers acting like real teenagers, a cool legacy character, an evil ranger arc, and mesogog is easily my favorite villain in the franchise.
@@RafikiTheBaboonThe only good things about Wild Force were the design of the suits, the badass theme song, and the fact that it brought us Forever Red which hell I'd take 5 Wild Force seasons for another Forever Red.
@theninjamaster67 mostly cause that's the last show i watched as a kid, watched them all in order till wild force so anything past that I don't know. Besides ninja storm.
I've always liked Zeo (or at least the motif they were going for) the most since it's supposed to be based off of ancient civilizations: Pink - the Moai Eastern Island Head of the Rapa Nui Yellow - the Dogū "Spaceman" of the Jōmon era of prehistoric Japan Blue - The Great Sphinx of Giza of the Old Kingdom during the reign of Khafre Green - the Taurus Constellation/Zodiac dating back to the Chalcolithic and the Early Bronze Age Red - the Phoenix of Greek, Egyptian, and Persian Mythology Gold - The Golden Touch of King Midas, granted to him by Dionysus of Greek Mythology I like that Blue, Red, and Gold's zord motifs spring from a similar source in Egypt, considering that all 3 of these characters were leaders at some point, especially Blue and Gold, if you look at the other possible source for Gold's zord being the Great Pyramid of Giza (39:11). Since Rocky replaced Jason and then having Jason return to unintentionally give Rocky some doubt about being a ranger (40:43), this would kind of mirror that dynamic. Also, considering that the primary megazord was dominantly Blue and Gold, it would've been the perfect foreshadow to Billy becoming the Gold Ranger, had things happened differently behind the scenes...
Connor is going to eventually just become the "Power Rangers Guy" if he keeps making these but idc these slay and I barely even watched the series before this
imo with creators like Connor who isn't particularly restricted with what kind of content he makes, I don't really mind to see him talking about niche stuffs like this
I actually love the battle sequence for "Ranger who came in from the Gold". I get that the episode itself was kind of meh, but the use of almost every Zord they had in their arsenal was fun. Maybe this also has to do with the bias I have for the Ohranger episodes it adapted.
15:02 This was one of VERY FEW Power Rangers Zeo episodes I ever watched... And I LOVED IT! Skull being a fan of classical music... Trying to hide it form Bulk, but better still, THAT ENDING! I wont lie.. Grown ass adult, and a father - I CRIED!!!!
Though I've never gone out of my way to watch Zeo, only catching the brief episode or two on Fox Kids as a child, I have this vivid memory of it always being my favorite of the Zordon era rangers. It left this odd nostalgic feeling in the back of my head that I can't quite explain but I think a lot of it has to do with the design of the ranger costumes, the gold ranger being my favorite Zordon era 6th ranger, and Tommy taking up the mantle of being the red ranger finally when he was basically the defacto leader of in MMPR.
Jason coming back and becoming the Gold Ranger was always shocking and I had always thought David Yost had quit at that point, hence them not making Billy that. Tommy's brother would have made a great reveal and had the Gold Ranger powers be tied to Native American history it would have been a great way to bring him in. Instead we get a pyramid, so there's that.
I hope to god you can continue this series. The later seasons get WILD, especially when comparing them to their Sentai counterparts. Like, Goseiger and Gokaiger were mashed together into a single season, despite the two having completely different themes and design principles.
Kimberly breaking up with Tommy is all Aisha's fault. It makes sense if you take into account the Alien Rangers miniseries, along with Kims mom's divorce in MMPR s3. Kimberly and the Zeo Rangers just remember the events of MMPR season 3 differently. Kim's mom moved to France & Kim moved in with Aisha's family. When Aisha and Tanya swapped, and the Zeo crystal undid the time reversion, time and memories got rewritten. Only the current Ranger team remembered the old timeline because of their power coins when time reversed. Kimberly would remember a different late season 3. Without Aisha to live with, logically she would have moved in with her boyfriend. Tommy remembers a HS romance, Kim remembers living together. That changes things drastically in their relationship.
Please continue this series. I loved Power Rangers as a kid, from Mighty Morphin through Time Force (think my favorite) to Mystic Force or Operation Overdrive when i stopped watching this. Today I don't have as much time to catch up on all the series so summaries like this are great!
I subbed because of finding Connors channel due to the first MMPR video, just got off work for the weekend and seeing this drop is giving me life. THANK YOU CONNOR!
Fun fact: OhRanger was originally a really dark and serious season, but when it aired, there were major attacks in Japan, so the producers had to tone everything down and make the show more silly and lighthearted
Hearing David Yost talk about his struggles with people being unaccepting of his sexuality really makes me realize how lucky I was for having so many friends and family that were accepting that I'm Bisexual. Sure some were hateful and some even walked out of my life. Ironically one of the friends that was most vocal about how I should be ashamed about it, later came out as Gay and apologized making it clear that his hateful words were more about him knowing he wouldn't have the kind of support I had.
I look forward to these videos now in the same way I watch and rewatch Linkara's History of Power Ranger Series. Thank you for doing a deep dive into these.
The most frustrating thing about the situations with Jason, Billy and Zeo in general is just how much is a rehash of other stuff. While the video mentions this multiple times, what it doesn't mention is that Jason and Billy basically go through the same arc but are handled entirely differently... for obvious reasons. Billy's rapidly aging, losing his "life force", and gets played by a different man entirely. Jason is losing his life force, which logically would cause him to age, but isn't recast or made up to look older. It's kind of disgusting, in a way. Regardless, the show does a disservice to Ohranger, particularly in how it portrays the Machine Empire. Still not as bad as the Disney era shows though...
I heard the original ending to Saban's Masked Rider was going to be Dex teaming up with the Zeo Rangers to defeat Bruticon. However Saban decided to use the footage of the other Masked Rider warriors to save money. I just figure it would be cool to see and would have been a good book-end to the series since it started with a Power Rangers crossover
Thank you Connor it was worth the wait. Now take your time for reviewing all the seasons. At least now I know you have us ranger fans interested and intrigued.
Zeo is my favorite Zordon Era season. Adam is my favorite character and the reason I started watching Rangers, and I feel Zeo is the season I feel has the best time with Adam Even when he had more episodes in Mighty Morphin'. While he wasn't any less in the background here than he was before, he started to grow out of his shell here and that's lovely. Personally, I think Adam suits the green ranger better than Tommy. Also I love how his hair length slowly, yet visibly increases.
I'm on the last few episodes of Zeo From mighty morphing to ninja storm I haven't seen every episode so I'm doing rewatching too. Thank you Connorthewaffle for your version of power rangers review in this modern time I love Waffles.

About the global warming episode : don't forget that Haim Saban started his producer career in France, from 1973 to 1983, before moving to the US but still producing many shows for the French TV. And in France, global warming was already a very meanstream thing, with many kids shows having an episode dedicated to it, like how many American kids shows of the 1980s had at least one episode dedicated to drugs.
The morphers this time around actually has to clip together in order to morph as the right arm changer has to drop down the crystal so it can be aligned to the target reticle on the left band it sort of acts like a projector any way good video
I got to meet David Yost at a comicon a few years back, at the time I had only just started to come out as Gay to friends and family and when i got to talk to him i told him how much of an inspiration and influence he was on me as a kid and even more so knowing what he had to go through. He was surprised, I don't think he really knew how many kids like me looked up to him and Billy. It must have took a lot of strength to walk away from the show like he did and a lot more to come back to it now. This was before hasbro started mending the relationship between him and the show, I still have the autographed photo from him and its one if my prized possessions. I really hope I get to meet him again and tell him all over again how much he meant to me growing up as a nerdy weird gay kid and how much he still influences me today as someone in the Film and TV industry as that same needy weird gay kid with a few more years under their belt 💙
A little early to talk about next season, but I think Turbo should have started with Zordon and Alpha 5 having to leave Earth and the current Zeo team opts to follow. There still could have been a proper handoff between old team and new team instead of just saying "you're too old to be my child soldiers, find replacements". Instead Turbo is a "ship of Theseus" type of season. Replace Rocky in the worst way ("oh no...he fell...like he's never done that before! Quick! Replace him with a 10 year old!"). Then have write off Zordon and Alpha 5 in the worst way (Dimitria and Alpha 6 are useless). Then replace the rest of the team in one fell swoop by saying they graduated from being Power Rangers (you know because you wouldn't want your planet defending team to be TOO experienced).
First off, rocky fell from the ring onto the hard floor, that would hurt anyone's back even an unmorphed power ranger, second Justin was 12 and shown to be very intelligent and as mature as the other rangers, and Zordon left because he missed his family after centuries on earth......not sure what your point is...
I honestly didn’t know about this. David Yo was a hero to me watching Power Rangers was like the best thing because he was one of the Rangers, and I was pretty sad that he left the show, but I didn’t know this was the reason. But if I was a kid And new of this I would still support him. I want to turn my back on him because of the fact he was gay. And I’m very unhappy with the fact that people would treat him differently when they knew that about him. Thank you for bringing this to my attention Connor.❤
I personally love the Zeo suits. Idk what it is about them, but I legitimately enjoy them. I also much prefer the cogs to the putties, not saying they're the best footsoldier's, but I do love the design and their music theme. Especially love that their heads open to fire lasers. It's just a shame that the season was original saban era, when everything was cheesy highschool charity stuff that MMPR, Zeo and Turbo fall into. I can't finish a season from that era, just because it's so specifically basic and cheesy and nobody had a proper character arc that made any impact in the following episodes.
keep going i love this. your doing a good job. love it. sad about billy i knew all that before the video and it was disgusting i glad we're in a better head space these days (well sometimes) anywho again great video!
As a kid, Zeo was my favorite season. I had most of the toys, especially the morpher. Zeo was the last season that I seen all the episodes and had a bunch of the merch. Before the WWF and WCW took over my life.
I always found it odd that AGHS's school colors change twice. Blue andwhite in season 1 of MMPR, purple and gold here, and then royal blue and yellow when they graduate at the beginning of Turbo. Continuity matters, y'all.
Yeah, i stopped my fan card when Zeo came out. I was pretty burnt out from the end of MMPR and at the time, wrestling had just started to really get good again. I am sad i missed the return of Jason and the entire Gold Ranger stuff but it was cool to go back and watch it. Zeo wasnt all that bad minus the first couple.
I beg you go further than just the Zordon Era. There are so many more great seasons I would love to see you cover. Especially Wild Force, that one is my personal favorite. You do such a great job with these in depth videos
When I was younger, I enjoyed Power Rangers and Loved Billy the most. When I heard it was because he was openly gay and getting harassment for it that caused him to leave, broke me. I am openly gay and knew I was gay since Power Rangers and my crushes were Billy and Tommy.
I loved Zeo, but I hated how the cliffhanger in MMPR wasn't resolved. Zedd and Rita came close to conquering the world, but then suddenly, they're tossed aside and become comedy acts? And Zeo's finale was kinda lackluster. With the Machine Empire defeated, I was hoping the Zeo Rangers would battle Zedd and Rita, continuing where MMPR left off, but then Turbo happened and it was one of the worst seasons ever. At least In Space made up for how bad Turbo was. Also, Jason came back as the Gold Ranger, but he left in storyline to join a peace conference in Switzerland. Why didn't they mention that in any episode in the series?
The reason Zeo had a lot of that "aggressively Japanese" goofy shit is that the source season had to reverse course due to real-world events. For the first several episodes, Ohranger was pretty violent and a bit dark. They were trying to do something different and serious for the twentieth anniversary. It also dealt a lot with ancient civilizations, the dawn of a new age, mystical energies, and other stuff that every insufferable "I'm not religious, but I'm spiritual" person you've ever met drones on about. Then Aum Shinrikyo (a cult that was into a lot of that same stuff) killed a bunch of people on Japanese subways with poisonous gas, and suddenly a violent show about the occult and mysticism wasn't exactly the best look. So, they toned down the violence and mystical themes, and generally made everything a bit goofier to try to make people forget what they saw. Carranger dialed everything up a notch the following year to buy enough time for Megaranger to be able to go back to a darker tone.
Instrument of destruction is one of my favorite PR episodes ever. It's such a great story and it's so humanizing for Skull. I was so worried about Billy not making it back from Aquitar! (I was also 11). Great episodes. It's so sad to know what David Yost was going through behind the scenes. I will never stop screaming at the top of my lungs that Billy should have been the Gold Ranger. It was what he deserved. Bringing Jason back was just BS.
The Christmas episode you skipped contains information towards a common complaint now. Also fun fact the Sarah Brown (Heather) and Bradley Hawkins (vioce of the Gold Ranger) were from Saban other show VR Troopers. Bradley was originally hired to be the White Ranger. As JDF was going to star in what became VRTroopers. Tommy’s popularity as a character changed plans.

Where are the parents in all of this? One thing that has always crossed my mind is the involvement of the parents. Billy just up and went to space and his parents weren't notified or anything?
A weird little pair of facts is that in ohranger gasket and sprocket are the same person/robot with gasket of course a upgraded sprocket, and also Archerina in Japan was not the princess of a rival kingdom but actually Machina’s niece which would make her gasket/sprokets cousin and yes they did marry in ohranger and had a kid who if anyone cares survived after the show being raised the butler.

WF and MF are around the same level of quality I feel.

I met David Yost at a convention a few years back and had a chat about seeing him as a hero both on TV and always as a Ranger to fans now, and I won't forget that handshake after he heard it cause it was just full of warmth and thanks and he's such a lovely person
I’ve met him twice. When you talk to him he doesn’t talk like a celebrity, but as a normal human being. Both times he treated me like a friend.
The writers had to name his character Billy since he's the GOAT
but seriously, calling someone a name like that to their face is NOT ok WHATSOEVER
I’m can’t remember when u stopped watching power rangers but u was definitely into this one
I knew all about David Yost's departure and return to the franchise before watching this, but I wasn't expecting to have such a raw and emotional reaction to it, identifying with both the character when I was a kid, and the actor as an adult. I'm happy he was able to make some peace with the franchise and do a full return.
He wrote the 30 year reunion, starred in it and also came back full time as Billy for the latest season.
I knew nothing about the early days of Power Rangers but they sounded pretty rough
Go watch Once and Always
@bigjalapeno7061 Which was the reason why MMPR had the casts switched regularly. They were forced to work overnight with less payment. Saban even said "people care about the costume than the actor wearing it".
@@sertiana2512 Yea Conner mentioned that. It's sad and messed up
The thing about Turbo is that it was adapting Carranger which was a self spoof series where the show wasn't meant to make sense and was for fun.
One correction
Ohranger didn’t almost kill sentai
That crown actually goes to live man
It was only thanks to what is considered the greatest sentai of all time jetman that sentai was saved from cancellation
@@jpcsdutra thanks…..
I didn’t ask you all that but…..thanks???
Carranger wasn't even close of saving sentai though, rating and toy sales wise it only did a little better than ohranger while failing with the other
Machine Empire in Ohranger has manages to completely raze both New York City and Paris
First 8 episodes of Ohranger is better than the rest of the season
Poor Brad Hawkins, btw. First he loses the chance to be the White Ranger (because Tommy was too popular), then his show (in which he played the role originally intended for Jason David Frank) got cancelled without a proper finale, and then he got to voice a power ranger, only for his unmorphed form to be some other guy split into three (to give the series credit they cast actual triplets for the Treys).

In the comics Kimberly didn't actually fall on love with someone else. She just moved on with her life but she thought it would've been easier for Tommy if she just wrote saying she fell in love with someone else.
This is revealed in the show as well
That makes much more sense
That… I don’t know if it’s better or worse tbh. Just he honest with your partner instead of lying. Yeah I get they’re teenagers, but they’re so damn mature for their age.

@@ghostfakekiller4201 to elaborate Kimberly realized that while she’s returned to normalcy Tommy will never be able to pry his identity away from being a Power Ranger (something very much supported by the Dino Thunder episode “Fighting Spirit”).

Wish most of this stuff wasn't relegated only to the comics
You are a dork.

@@provide_rto me that's my favorite season of anything post Zordon. It had everything a season should have, teenagers acting like real teenagers, a cool legacy character, an evil ranger arc, and mesogog is easily my favorite villain in the franchise.

@theninjamaster67 mostly cause that's the last show i watched as a kid, watched them all in order till wild force so anything past that I don't know. Besides ninja storm.
I've always liked Zeo (or at least the motif they were going for) the most since it's supposed to be based off of ancient civilizations:
Pink - the Moai Eastern Island Head of the Rapa Nui
Yellow - the Dogū "Spaceman" of the Jōmon era of prehistoric Japan
Blue - The Great Sphinx of Giza of the Old Kingdom during the reign of Khafre
Green - the Taurus Constellation/Zodiac dating back to the Chalcolithic and the Early Bronze Age
Red - the Phoenix of Greek, Egyptian, and Persian Mythology
Gold - The Golden Touch of King Midas, granted to him by Dionysus of Greek Mythology
I like that Blue, Red, and Gold's zord motifs spring from a similar source in Egypt, considering that all 3 of these characters were leaders at some point, especially Blue and Gold, if you look at the other possible source for Gold's zord being the Great Pyramid of Giza (39:11).
That really does sound interesting
The Zeo Theme is one of the best PR themes imo
Connor is going to eventually just become the "Power Rangers Guy" if he keeps making these but idc these slay and I barely even watched the series before this

I actually love the battle sequence for "Ranger who came in from the Gold". I get that the episode itself was kind of meh, but the use of almost every Zord they had in their arsenal was fun. Maybe this also has to do with the bias I have for the Ohranger episodes it adapted.

And then there's me who grew up with Power Rangers Samurai-

Hearing David Yost talk about his struggles with people being unaccepting of his sexuality really makes me realize how lucky I was for having so many friends and family that were accepting that I'm Bisexual. Sure some were hateful and some even walked out of my life.
Ironically one of the friends that was most vocal about how I should be ashamed about it, later came out as Gay and apologized making it clear that his hateful words were more about him knowing he wouldn't have the kind of support I had.
my boy, you know you this has gotta continue with each of the series right? You do a good job man, hope to see more.
38:50 Same reason why Tommy returned as green ranger and white ranger in s2 or the whole legendary battle thing
In the comics it reveals that Kim broke up with Tommy because she felt like she was holding him back from growing

Tbh the goofy parts looked pretty funny from what Conner showed
This was awesome. And playing Wasserman's "Fight" over Bulk and Skull fighting was absolutely fantastic lol! Looking forward to more.

@@robertrogers074 Same here 😂!
Gotta admit, hearing Thunder Hawk's theme for the indigenous segment made me chuckle.
Who's that
Great vid mate I look forward to you covering the rest
Tommy’s popularity as a character changed plans.
i watched this guy all the time when i was in grade 6, in grade 10 now and his content is just as good as it was before i accidentally forgot about him
much love connor
The fact he said we did not see the other rangers In power rangers overdrive Adam returns
Where are the parents in all of this? One thing that has always crossed my mind is the involvement of the parents. Billy just up and went to space and his parents weren't notified or anything?
Peace conference.
My only complaint it that they skipped over the villain, Keris from Ohranger
Hehehehe
*eagerly awaits the NEXT part a MMPR vids*
HECK YES!!!!
not only tommy turns out to be native american
rangers prove that global warming can be solved with violence
I was one of the few, I guess, that really liked Zeo.
Great video! I hope you do every season! Not just Zordon era.
Please do more than just Zordon Era. I'd love to see you tackle some of my favorite seasons, including Dino Thunder, SPD, and RPM.
Don’t care what anyone says. Adam was my favorite. I’m Asian. I saw myself in him as a kid. Representation matters.
