Rest In Peace Bon.You are missed greatly.would have loved to see what AC-DC would have become with you up front. No disrespect to Brian. He had big shoes to fill and he killed it🤘🏻.
Sooner rather than later, had he not died, they would have fired him. It was only Angus pleading with Malcolm and Fifa Riccobono pleading with Bon that kept him from being dumped after Highway to Hell. If Ted Albert had of even heard a whisper about Bon's rumoured heroin use, Malcolm would have had an ultimatum - get a new singer or get a new label. And the latter choice would have meant paying Albert back the mountains of money they owed him. No brainer for Mal.
Best thing I ever saw was when The Stones and AC/DC were playing together and they show Malcolm and I think Keith Richards face to face. Ya have to see the look on Malcolm’s face while he was jamming. Like he’s standing next to a God and just having the time of his life. It’s on UA-cam. Worth watching.
Amazing 😂😂every one was in crisis, and Bon was with an girl he has met on the airport!! 😂😂 its so funny, I love Angus, and his wife Ellen, there live here in the Netherlands!! ❤
There's a statue of Bon in Scotland where he was born. I've not seen it in person but I remember them putting it up. Not many Rock stars played bagpipes in their music.
There’s also one in Fremantle (Australia) where he was raised. Local government through in a bunch of money to build it and 100,000 people turned up for its unveiling. Shows just how loved he is in both countries. Funny thing is though, I could imagine Bon going on a bender and then staggering down to where his statue is and pissing on it. 😝 Absolute legend.
Some old vids came across my feed on here the other nights. They were some very good footage of them playing somewhere, with Bon at the mic. I wanna say it was Whole Lotta Rosie, and it is also a very fine performance of it, nice to have it on film.
Funny but, it also make me think of my time as an active addict. I'd vanish for 2-3 days at a clip and when I was finally home, I always had very little recollection of where I was, who I was with, etc. Sobriety is incredible. I got 35 second chances and finally cashed in on one.
@rocknroll1973Jesse's right. All you need to do is read the lyrics of the songs on Back in Black and it's obvious that Bon wrote them. His writing style was very unique. The quality of AC/DC's lyrics and songs weren't even remotely the same after the Back in Black album.
@rocknroll1973 Are you kidding? 95% of the lyrics after the BIB album are horrendous. Do you really think that Brian Johnson joined the band, got acclimated with his new mates, and then wrote all of those lyrics in a matter of just 5 short months? Johnson only wrote a handful of songs with his previous band, "Geordie" in the 6 years he was with them.. Even Bon's ex-girlfriends have stated that Bon wrote those lyrics. It's a shame the Young brothers never gave the writing credits to Bon on the BIB album. Of course, if they did that, they would've had to pay his estate a heck of a lot of money! And it all comes down to money, doesn't it?
Funny 😅. That happened to me once. I mistakingly followed some gal off a plane. They found me a week later. I was wearing only a shirt but no pants or anything else.
