The Silver Surfer is Stan Lee's favorite character because he's so introspective, empathetic and eloquent, it alloed Stan to flex his writing skills with every sentence.
A few fun facts. - Doom is one of if not the biggest Marvel villain in comic book history. - Silver Surfer was Stan Lee’s favorite character. - Sue and Reeds kids are Franklin and Valeria Richards. Two of the most powerful comic book characters. - Agatha Harkness was Franklins babysitter because he was so powerful - Doom delivered and named Valeria. He’s her godfather. - A variant of Reed appeared in Mulitverse of Madness played by John Krasinski - Keep your eyes peeled when watching Deadpool 2
The sequel is much better than the first one. Also in the comics Reed & Sue are married too & they have two kids name: Franklin & Valeria. And of course Johnny is the Uncle & Ben is the Godfather.
An underrated movie I always loved was Chronicles. Give it a try. It’s about three teenagers that get gifted superpowers. And it’s been filmed as if you were there.
Wow, reactors who don’t make us wait two weeks for the sequel reaction can you guys teach reaction classes some of them need it. 😂😂😂 you guys are gold standard just subscribed

I hated the way they did silver surfer as a fan of the comic version. But this film I assume is made for casual fans and comic fans I guess because not everyone sgonna complain about the changes or notice them in general.
Jessica Alba had a hard time making this movie as she would get into arguments with the director Tim Story, telling her that she wouldn't cry pretty for any of the scenes, so they use CGI tears instead. Alba would never work with Tim Story ever again.
The five minutes where the FF is exploring and trying to set a trap for the Surfer is, in my crazy-for-FF opinion, the most FF the group has been on the big screen. Y’all kept ho’in my girl Jessica Alba in this movie lol sure I understand the contacts but her wedding dress was not a 1/10 it was simple, but she still looked beautiful. I don’t think it needed to be over the top
I will never understand why when Johnny touches all 3 of them, he ends up with all 4 powers including his original flame power. Shouldn't he have their 3 powers and all 3 of them have the flame one? The whole point is they swap. He should not have had all 4 powers.
About their kids, their son Franklin is one of the most powerful beings in existence in the comics, silver surfer was the herald of Galactus, in the comics Franklin actually makes Galactus his herald ...
The Fantastic Four was Marvel before Marvel. Literally the beginning point. The Fantastic Four was Star Trek, 5 years before Star Trek was. And Doctor Doom was Darth Vader 16 years before anyone ever heard of Star Wars. Victor Von Doom, the greatest supervillian ever, is storied far beyond, far deeper, and infinitely more 3-dimensionally than Vader. The FF was my favorite comic book team for a long while in my childhood. And the premise was similar to Star Trek. They weren't just New York superheroes, they were cosmic explorers. Every issue, they'd show up on another planet to solve a problem. There would be some fighting and rescuing and high stakes, and then Reed's genius would save the day, and they would move on. Fox never did them cinematic justice. The FF has had hundreds, maybe thousands of amazing adventures and stories waaay beyond those silly movies. Marvel Studios head guy Kevin Feige really gets and loves the Fantastic Four, and that movie is going to take everyone by surprise. The MCU Fantastic Four movie is coming out in about a year, starring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards. I can't wait!
I'm still not sure about Pedro Pascal as Reed. He's a good actor, I loved him as an antagonist in stuff like Kingsman and The Equalizer, but it still feels weird that the studio would cast a 50 year old dude (he's 49, but he'll be 50 by the time F4 comes out) for a role that will definitely stretch (pun intended) for longer than 5 years. Are they really going for a 60 year old Reed Richards?
Just wanted to say I've recently just been watching reactions to all the movies and shows I've watched, came across your guys channel and enjoy watching the film and your guys reactions. Thanks for what you guys do
36:41 Yep, they’re rebooting the Fantastic Four, but this time under Marvel Studios instead of 20th Century Fox, who produced the previous F4 films, including Fantastic Four (2015), which was only made so Fox could hold onto the rights. Fox had a contract that required them to produce a Fantastic Four film to keep the rights, which led to some pretty disappointing movies since they clearly had no idea what to do with the property. Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) will bring them into the MCU, but it won’t be an origin story. We’ll likely see their origin through news reports, but by the time the film starts, the Fantastic Four will have been active for a few years. The cool part is, it’s set in its own universe. A retro-futuristic 1960s, inspired by the early Marvel comics but set within a reality that benefit from great minds such as Reed Richards kick-starting humanity ahead decades. It’s not set in the MCU we’ve been following since Iron Man (2008), but in a reality where superheroes rose in the 1960s. All inspired by the 1960s era of Marvel comics, decade that introduced The Fantastic Four, Avengers, X-Men etc.
Also the subtitle: first steps while alluding to landing on the moon/ space travel in the 60s, also alludes to first steps of a potential child (eg franklin richards) 😉
Having Galactus be a cloud that could be defeated by an explosion is the worst. He's a real character that ties together their best adventures and cannot be defeated by anything less than celestials or the ultimate nullifier
I thought Laurence Fishburne was a good choice for the voice of the Silver Surfer, and the part where Ben tells Victor Von Doom "I like the part where he knocks you on your ass" was hilarious.
31:36 you can see the helmet of galactus forming. They were saving the big reveal of galactus true form for the planned silver surfer movie that unfortunately never happened.
With the exception of a couple of the later X-Men movies, the Fox movies were not done coherently with a master plan, and time to develop the individual characters well. They had to make them a bit more accessible to mainstream audiences, and get what they could from them. The comic stories are some of the most epic in all of Marvel, but it is really hard to do them justice with live action. Most people don't know that Blade was Marvel, and there was no need to know, because it could stand completely alone and live in the vampire/horror genre. We've gotten spoiled by the MCU and Kevin Feige, so it's great that they got control of the Fox rights to Marvel characters, and can now sprinkle them with the Feige dust. :)
They currently have a reboot set to release next year with Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Pedro Pascal, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach cast as the Fantasic Four!
2:48 Fun little comic reference with the Four symbol being in the middle! The symbol being off to the side was only used in the '90s Onslaught uniforms, which had that massive white '4' on the chest. But in 99% of the Fantastic Four suits, the symbol is always in the middle, just like in The Incredibles, for example. I don't recall the F4 ever using branding though but it does seem like a very Johnny thing to do lol
Doctor Doom is a core FF villain, but he's also a thorn in the sides of the Avengers as well in the comics. He's a genius level intellect on par with Reed Richards and Tony Stark. One story had Stark and Doom trapped together in the middle ages where their armors wouldn't work, so they had to grudgingly work together to get back to their proper timeline. They gained a mutual respect for each others abilities, not that Doom's ego would allow him to admit it.
Stan Lee and Jack Kirby also tried to get into Reed and Sue's wedding in the comics (Fantastic Four annual #2) & it didn't work either (Stan was writing it and Jack was drawing it). Reed and Sue were the 2 superhero couple to married, the first was Aquaman and Mera.
When you are done with Daredevil season 2, don't forget to watch the show The Defenders before season 3 so you understand how he gets where he gets at beginning. And also please start watching Cobra Kai, I promise you wont regret. Love your reactions
- Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn(Eddie Munson) have been casted in the next Fantastic Four movie. A female silver Surfer and a comic accurate Galactus will appear.
My only critique about this movie is the fact that they made Galactus a cloud. In the comics he is one of the strongest marvel characters ever. Hopefully they introduce him right in the new one coming out next year
P.P.S. I'm sure some comicbook people in the Patreon have pointed out that the scene where #StanLee is not allowed in the wedding is actually from the comics! LOL! Sue and Reed were married in #FantasticFour annual No. 3. In that #StanLee #JackKirby comic, every major #Marvel hero fought every major villain--it was the #AvengersEndgame of its day! #FantasticFour #FantasticFourRiseoftheSilverSurfer #JessicaAlba #SilverSurfer #ChrisEvans #DoctorDoom
Their son Franklin is not only one the most powerful mutants but literally one of the most powerful characters in Marvel and comics period. Their daughter is smarter than Reed. Second Silver Surfer is nerfed heavily. Galactus is not evil more neutral necessary force of nature is complicated.
@@ieyke no reconned to where he made himself a mutant to fit in but wasn't really one ie Krakoa era so he could be like them and fit in but they're changing it back how it was in the beginning where he was always a mutant like he's always been for most of comics till recently. He's just an extremely powerful mutant on the level of those like Galactus. Doesn't mean he was meant to take over for him.
Couple things. Reed and Sue have two kids. One of them is S-tier powerful. I'm talking more powerful even than Wanda. Secondly, the Fantastic Four actually have a villain called the Super Skrull (from the same race of aliens that is in Captain Marvel) that has all four of their powers like Johnny has here.
Even though I do think this sequel is a bit of a step down from the previous film, I still enjoy moments in it like they did a great job at depicting the Silver Surfer as he's one of the more introspective and philosophical characters in Marvel and the chase scene between him and Johnny was super intense. Btw I swear Jessica Alba's contacts in this movie make her look like a Barbie doll. Galactus in this movie was something a lot of people were disappointed by as Galactus is literally a giant god like being and making him a space cloud was an obscure choice but regardless we're getting a new version of Galactus in the new MCU Fantastic Four movie coming out next year, so that that's exciting
Silver Surfer and Galactus are wayyyy more powerful than they were in this. They are cosmic beings. Galactus eats planets for breakfast. SS is his herald and he can easily destroy planets himself. The Fantastic 4 has canonically defeated Galactus which is an insane feat but this movie does not do any of these characters justice in how powerful they are, especially the antagonists. Silver Surfer did look really cool though EDIT: Oh and Galactus is NOT just a big ass cloud. He has an actual form. It’s a shame we never got to see a true interpretation of the character.
For a Fantastic Four cameo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, go back and rewatch the second Dr. Strange movie. Different actor, but Mr. Fantastic is there as part of the Illuminati, along with Charles Xavier, BlackBolt, and others.
Why is Jessica Alba so overwhelmingly beautiful in this? She really turned it up with the makeup and hair. This is a superhero movie not the MET gala...
The MCU could easily pick up this concept for a continuation, Galactus was kind of disappointing but was left ambiguous so they could easily do a full reveal of him later on, say he just got ticked into a cosmic rift or whatever and bring back the surfer
Fun fact silver surfer can lift Thors hammer and he is Stan Lee’s favorite character but the nerfed him so hard in the movies because he is way to powerful I would look him up and in the comics Galactus is a person that eats planets not a cloud
@@AliOwaidiYes, the members off FF have at one point joined the Avengers to aid them. But, Fantastic Four and Avengers are two different teams that might help each other out.
It’s not that characters are bad in these movies it’s just that they were trying to hard to get the movie on par with the X-men movies but in a shorter time then to actually build the franchise.
I actually like this movie, I just wish they didn't nerf Silver Surfer so much. That said, their son, Franklin, is one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse.
@marvel22-mf1js Even the Fox one could just take all of the gamma radiation out of Banner like he did in the comics. Then it's just Thor, that's any threat.

The Perfect Mix Reacts to "Predestination". Only one real channel has reacted to this movie and it is so insane.
The MCU could easily pick up this concept for a continuation, Galactus was kind of disappointing but was left ambiguous so they could easily do a full reveal of him later on, say he just got ticked into a cosmic rift or whatever and bring back the surfer
Now Something About Fantastiques Four.
Fantastique Four Hear Dr Doom Not Far 😅😅😅
Yall should watch Mr. and Mrs Smith, the 2005 movie if you guys haven't already
Silver Surfer is WAY nerfed in this movie, but as a Surfer Stan it was absolutely amazing to see him in live action.
"To quote a friend of mine. IT'S CLOBBERIN TIME"
Cm punk
@@Sultan20108 I don't know who u are or why you're calling me punk, but, call me what you want. I'm NOT gonna lower myself to you level.
@@jalenjennings9255 He wasn't calling you a punk. CM Punk is the nickname of a professional wrestler.
@@x-man9473 oh.
Why is Vince tryna ask Shana if she be ok with the bachelor party 😂😂😂😂
Fun fact silver surfer can lift Thors hammer and he is Stan Lee’s favorite character but the nerfed him so hard in the movies because he is way to powerful I would look him up and in the comics Galactus is a person that eats planets not a cloud
Have you guys seen Lost? That would be soo incredible to see!
Josie, the Tiger and the fish underrated movie
Fantastic Four are stronger than The Avengers.
The fantastic four ARE avengers.
@@AliOwaidiYes, the members off FF have at one point joined the Avengers to aid them. But, Fantastic Four and Avengers are two different teams that might help each other out.
@ that’s why they aren’t the fantastic four when they’re avengers.
It’s not that characters are bad in these movies it’s just that they were trying to hard to get the movie on par with the X-men movies but in a shorter time then to actually build the franchise.
This movie was fire, though I'm thinking now , it would be nice for Johnny to give Ben a human body for Aisha to touch for abit
If RD jr. is coming back as Dr. Doom I really hope they bring back silver surfer to the next phase of MCU!
Galactus will be the main baddie in the MCU FF movie, and Silver Surfer will also be present.
@@EntertainmentFan11 that’s so exciting!! I’m curious to see how FF ties in the MCU world with everyone already being used of super heroes (avengers)
I actually like this movie, I just wish they didn't nerf Silver Surfer so much. That said, their son, Franklin, is one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse.
Surfer could body the MCU Avengers pretty easily.
quote-Surfer could body the MCU Avengers pretty easily.

The comic version yes,the fox version?no.
@marvel22-mf1js Even the Fox one could just take all of the gamma radiation out of Banner like he did in the comics. Then it's just Thor, that's any threat.
@@Khay-77 laughs in Scarlet Witch...
@@WraithWTF MCU Wanda is too weak. This man is faster than light. He could body her before she even knew what hit her.
@@Khay-77 Pre-End Game Wanda, maybe...post-End Game Wanda? Nah...especially as this version of the Surfer is massively nerfed as well
37:53 I would say Ryan Coogler. He has given us great movies.
Y'all saw Eternals; remember the Celestial Arishem, the giant-ass being in space that the Eternals reported to? Galactus is one of those.
