Hey guys, glad to be finally checking out "The Incredibles" let's see if it lives up to the hype. Hope you guys enjoy our reaction! For those interested we did just check out "Incredibles 2" over on our Patreon: www.patreon.com/ThePerfectMix
Mr. Incredible was voiced by Craig T. Nelson, who was in Poltergeist and Blades of Glory. He’s mostly known from the television show Coach (1989). Elastigirl was voiced by Holly Hunter, who’s been in a lot of movies, including Raising Arizona, Broadcast News, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She’s also known from the television show Saving Grace (2007).
@ThomasThomas2x3989 based on movie ratings, quoted lines, the fact they made sure to add a similar moment in the sequel.. that's more than optimism. Nice pessimism though 😅
It's not until you get older when you realize this is probably the darkest Pixar movie ever. Disney managed to show a villain that committed genocide while having it go over kids heads.
What about the guy jumping off the building? “You didn’t save my life! You ruined my death! That’s what you did!” You’ll never see that in another Disney movie. A lot of sexual references in there for a Disney movie too with Bob and Helen in the montage scene too lol.
@adrianbyg5553 it's called talent. Just like Tara Strong with Timmy Turner from Fairly Oddparents and Dil Pickles from Rugrats, Debi Derryberry for Jimmy Neutron, and I can't remember the name of the woman who played Naruto, Mosako Nozawa for Goku in Dragon Ball Z, I can't remember the women who voice Ash Ketchum, John Roberts for Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers, Candi Milo as Nick Dean from Jimmy Neutron...List goes on and on. The point is that there are countless women who voice men, and there are plenty of men who voice women.
I love how y’all said “is he going to Spider-Man it” during the train scene because this movie came out the exact same year as Spiderman 2 when tobey did that train scene. Also the main villain of that movie was doc oc who’s mechanical arms looks similar to the design of the robots arms in this movie
This is the best Fantastic Four film, perfectly captures the drama, 60s themes, and overall family focused narrative of the F4 comics. The F4 were Marvel's first family and the only film to really respect and capture the true feeling of the F4 is The Incredibles. Fun fact the soundtrack for The Incredibles was composed by Michael Giacchino who is now composing the music for Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025). The theme of this film was recently played at the Marvel’s Infinity Saga in the Hollywood Bowl and it's sounds amazing. Very retro futuristic 1960s fitting the setting of the movie. Edit: I know The Incredibles is not a Fantastic Four movie but it is heavily inspired by the Fantastic Four along with that era of Marvel comics in general. It's simply what a F4 film should be and that to me is enough to call it the best F4 film.
There was a short that was part of the DVD when it came out called Jack Jack Attack. The short takes place when Jack Jack is being babysat while the Incredibles were off facing off against Syndrome. Pretty funny if your interested
42:06 They made a whole game around this cliff-hanger called The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer (2005) picking up right after the film. Rise of the Underminer in many ways was Incredibles 2 until 13 years later when Incredibles 2 (2018) movie released. The Underminer himself is based on the Mole Man from the Fantastic Four comics and was one of their first villains, why they decided to introduce The Underminer as the original first villains of The Incredibles. I'd say that 99% of the characters in this film are based on Marvel characters, Incredibles are the Fantastic Four for comparison.
Rumor has it that the only reason The Underminer made an appearance was Pixar considered John Ratzenberger a lucky charm as he had voiced a character in every Pixar film at that point, so they made the cameo for him.
I can't remember who it is but somebody points at the fact that the robot and the Mr Incredible first goes up against on the island is actually designed for Frozone you can tell that because of the blue light on the robot for its eye and because he was sent into a volcano were frozen would be at a severe disadvantage. The second time we see a robot and now has a red eye and it is severely much stronger much more well-versed handling Mr Incredible.
The scene when the guys are caught in the jewelry scene after the burning building, when Frozone (Samuel L Jackson) says slowly how he's thirsty, it's a callback to Jackson's scene in Die hard 3 when he needed to answer the phone in the subway 😂
Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone is one of my favorite castings in a kid's movie ever. "Honey....where's my supersuit?" Side note: Edna Mode was inspired bya few people: Edith Head: Who designed the costumes for *Gone With The Wind* and *Breakfast At Tiffany's* down to the iconic round glasses and bob haircut. Anna Wintour: Editor-In-Chief of Vogue magazine with a no-nonsense attitude and flawless sense of fashion. Iris Apfel: Fashion businesswoman known for her eccentric sense of style and bold personality.
Truly a great film. That jet scene is what all actions films strive for. Character, story, stakes, and direction pure quality. The argument between them at the beginning feels real and you can understand both sides. Too good 👍🏾
Absolutely love it so much Buddy was the villain and he kills all the superheroes Glad you both love it so much The boss is voice of Rex from Toy Story and the principal is linguini from ratatouille
I’ve been watching you guys since your Band of Brothers reactions and I always look forward to your videos. I love how you guys always pay attention and appreciate the story telling, no matter what kind of movie or show you’re watching! And I’m always telling my family about you guys and how you’re the only react Chanel that I watch 👏🏻
fun fact the reason why they choose Samuel Jackson as frozone is they wanted to his character to have a cool voice and I remember watching it on a youtube short and saying they choose well.
You were on the right track at the end there with Pixar films and i am 100% sure that we would love more Pixar reactions A Bug's Life, Cars, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Monsters Inc just to name a few
The Incredibles is such a good movie. I love that there are so many situations within this “superhero movie” that are so ridiculously accurate to people’s real lives, like them arguing toward the beginning with Bob being annoyed that moving from 4th to 5th grade getting an entire ceremony is stupid. Or their argument over directions in the RV when they got back to the city despite being in the middle of a life and death situation. They made them so relatable Side note: I’m pretty sure they based Frozone’s movement off of a real life famous speed skater, which is pretty cool to know
You guys are my favorite couple on UA-cam. love your channel I discovered you guys 13 months ago and watched various videos non stop. Greatest people ever ❤
I remember when I was a little kid that scene where syndrome is at the house with Jack Jack and the family rushes in always made me feel unsettled lmaoo
One of the best Pixar animated films, we waited 10 years for a sequel hahaha. PS: Jack-Jack has several powers because he represents "the potential" that each new born person has.
Great reaction. BTW background is blindingly white and for some reason Shoshana decided to wear a white top. I got flashbanged when I opened the video lol
Bob met the kid a long time ago, hurt his feelings, was push him over the edge and now he's a super villain currently with the upper hand and he temporarily trapped😮😮😮😮😮😮
Yeaaa I grew up as kid watching the incredibles!!!! 😁😁😁😁😁 while syndrome is taking a nap the family incredibles and forzone down there getting busy 😁😁😁😁
this is one of the earliest animated films by Pixar and turned into their cornerstone. Since then, they have massively improved their animation and is now considered one of the best. The 2nd film is significantly improved in terms of animation.
Thanks for reacting to my favorite Pixar movie. I just love Syndrome’s dark story becoming the villain by bringing heroes to Nomanisian Island and upgrading Omnidroids one by one plus I love the family aspect with the kids.
I have some movie suggestions: - The Iron Claw - Legends of the Fall - Titanic - Young Woman and the Sea - How To Train Your Dragon Trilogy - 1917 - Bottoms - Booksmart - The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Last of the Mohicans
Some interesting facts about this movie. Mirage is played by the girl from Rush Hour. Ms Johnson the girl who defuses the bomb on the little girls vest. Also, the sound used for the machines that are chasing Dash were from Formula 1 cars.
"They remind me of something out of Star Wars". The shot with one of those flying discs on either side of Dash was inspired by a scene from Return of the Jedi.

Pixar was bought by Disney in the early 2000s or late 90s. The Incredibles and Ratatouille were both directed by Brad Bird. He also voiced Edna Mode in the Incredibles and Anton Ego's assistent in Ratatouille. I aspire to direct films one day because of him and hope to work with him someday 😅. Another fun fact, his son voiced Tony Ridinger (Violet's Crush), his other son voiced the kid on the tricycle who is their neighbor, and Bernie (Dash's Teacher) is the voice of Linguine in Ratatouille! (I love Pixar and I'm obsessed with this movie....so I'm full of facts lol)
Before watching the sequel if you do so, please PLEASE watch the short film Jack-Jack Attack showing what was happening during Kari baby-sitted Jack-Jack
The mime robbery Bomb voyage was also in ratatouille as the meme almost to the last part I think where the couples of the chefs started skating another Easter egg I realized
On a deeper level The Incredibles is a Randian parable, as in reflective of the themes and ideas of author Ayn Rand, in particular her book 'Atlas Shrugged'. These themes revolve around an inept, unexceptional majority- or the 'mediocre masses- suppressing and exploiting exceptional individuals, forcing them to withhold their talents from society. Mr. Incredible is even a visual metaphor for Atlas himself; several shots showing him bearing the sphere-bot on his shoulders in the same way Atlas bears the world on his.
Excellent reaction the movie is great. Part two is even better I think and then just not part three for 2025 or 2026 one of those two I can’t wait to see what it is what they’ll do in part three excellent thanks for the fun until next time.
The incredibles is the best Disney Pixar movie because it's like Watchmen, but... for kids. If that makes sense. They just announced THE INCREDIBLES 3 in D23 and I'm so happy.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE PIXAR MOVIE! Thank you so much for reacting to The Incredibles. Here's hoping you don't take 15 years to react to the second one.... got it? 15 years 'cause they took 15 years to make the sequel? No? Ok not funny.
There is a small side cartoon that goes along with this. It is called Jack Jack attack. When you hear the phone call between the mother and the babysitter you get to see what’s happening with the baby and the babysitter to match the incoming phone call messages.. actually it’s the best bit of the movie to be honest
