If the batting adhesive is water soluable, shouldn’t we use a dry iron?

I have used double sided fusible cotton batting for years. I hate to baste, and the spray adhesive gives me a headache and hard to layer your fabric. Used to be able to find it at Joann's where they carried several brands. To my HORROR they are not caring it anymore. I have used it on all my projects large(queen sized quilt) and small. Best thing on the market and am suprised that quilt shops don't carry it. One store owner looked at me like I had 3 eyes. Anyone following this web sight from retail stores, please stock this product.

Sarah L...Connecting Threads internet store sells a great fusible batting that is used by Quilt Roadies for all her large quilts and she has a video on how to apply it.....it’s the video with her daughter in law and her making a cute baby quilt. By the way C Threads was cheaper then everyone else for their 80/20 cotton batting. They are on sale now......

Does this batting shrink , I have done a table runner which a glass of water has been spilt on and it has come out so chrunched it looks like a dried out orange. I can’t work out why it has happened I ironed all layers flat e to, so washed it again in cold water and it’s worse. Any ideas would be really helpful, I am now sitting unpicking it because the table runner topper is to nice to discard although I am tempted to.
