That’s so cool that you used a dealer promo model as a base for this RC! I love these style of Camaros, my dad used to have a white ‘83 when he was in college. Great build, always enjoy your content. Much love from Texas!
MPC did a great job on that promo body, and the stance and realistic suspension squat while driving is impressive. The dusty tire spinning shots looked real.
Ahh that car brings back some fond memories. Beautiful job on it, only thing that would have made it better is if tou would have made it and IROC-Z. I know they weren't made in 83, but I have a spot in my heart for the old iroc's.
As an owner of an 84 Z28 in real life I thought this was the coolest thing ever! Definitely would like to build a white version of this to display inside my 84 at car shows.
When I was a kid my parents took us all to a dealership to purchase a new minivan and the Viper had just come out. I was around 7 or 8 at the time and I was bored but doing my best to stay cooperative and I noticed in the glass case a small model of a black Dodge Viper and I couldn't keep my eyes off it. After a little while negotiating with my parents the salesman was between tasks and he walked over to the case and opened it. He grabbed the little Viper and handed it to me. I can't remember exactly what he said but I was so excited that he'd be so generous that I was immediately in love. I spent the next 5 years collecting Viper things and absolutely losing my mind whenever I saw one (very rare where I lived). I never stopped to think that other dealerships or manufacturers might make models of their cars for the same purpose. That's really cool to know I wasn't alone!
Pretty cool! I'm an, "Old School" model builder. I like how the suspension reacts. Here's a few suggestions. The car needs a torque bar. Also, using a, "toothpick" to paint the, "Z28" badges. I did an exact replica of my 1987 IROC-Z and I sold it for $200 bucks in 2000. I used to live in my room doing this. I wish I could share a picture. You would of FREAKED.
Awesome! Would love to see a more detailed version for sure! As for the engine, a stock, carbueted 305 L69 with the dual inlet intake ducts would be perfect.
I had a Toy RC Camaro as a kid. If memory serves correct someone brought it back for me from Hong Kong. Awesome toy. Looked great and drove not too bad for a toy.
Third Gens are easily the most underappreciated and coolest cars ever built. Which is nice because you can still get a real one for a decent price. Only problem with most of them is that they were owned by people who liked to "bubba" their cars so most of them need a lot of work. But they are SO worth it.
I love these rc cars. Used to play with these toys when I was a kid. Got older and got real cars, so much more fun. Love watching my son still play with these kids toys.
i just wanted you to know i give you absolute respect and what’s so cool is that what you did with the rc car. it looks EXACTLY like mine. down to every detail!
Funny thing is, I’ve been seeing this video in my suggestions for the longest time. I’ve only been avoiding it because i thought it was an actual full sized Camaro converted into an RC. In other words yes, yes you did an amazing job. I have no regrets clicking on your video👌🏼
I have a blue 87 z28 I bought when I was 17 and I'm 35 now and had in storage for years. I only put 2800 miles on it in all them years. Watching this makes me want to get it out again.
MakeitRC this is absolutely freaking awesomeness AWESOME !! Can we please see more of the detailed build you mentioned? Great work man !! 👍👌💪 Looks beautiful.
Excellent work! I haven't dived into detailed RC models like your build but I really appreciate the work you and other detailed rc builders do to get these machines to run!
I used to use the plastic holder that all the parts snapped off of as roll bars and push bumpers on a bunch of creations I wish I still had all the model cars I built growing up thanks for bringing me back for a few
@@MakeItRC I'm planning on building it using the '82 Z28 kit from Revell. It's basically the same body except for the flares in front of the rear tires. If you do build one, I would be interested in buying any of the parts you would need to print for the exterior. Like the front lights and bumper. Great channel, keep up the good work. 🤟🤠👍
Do another one, and make the engine a cross fire. Those don't get enough love. If you want to make a big one, there's an old monogram 1/8 scale Camaro that comes with Indy pace car decals. I think that would be an awesome build.
Really outstanding, since you did such a great job with attention to detail I wanted to tell you about one important thing that's missing. It might not seem all that important, however 3rd gen people notice this everytime if it's not done, mostly on full scale cars. On the front ground effects where it's open that is always supposed to be painted black, many times when that gets re-painted, body shops sometimes forget to do that.
I think the 2 black gods that are on either side of the rear license plate are supposed to be the backup light so they should be like an opaque white...... What an awesome build this looks so good I'm probably gonna have to sacrifice and build a couple of RC cars out of models I've already completed!!!🔄🙂👍
Great job make it rc i am big (edit:really super fan of camaro model ) it's looks very much like the real one as your work dose justice to 3rd gen model with the 3d printed mirrors giving it nice touch anyway thanks for the video and have nice night bye now.
Love what your doing can't wait to get to point where ppl are basically using one of your kits in future as a actual full blown rc racing chassis and able to use any model car body and model car kits they want like 1/24 scale slot car racing and the possibilities will be endless and make for some really cool and super scale rc racing at your house where you can build like 6 of them put up a nice little mini z track in your garage or shop or house and a timing system and be able to race when your friends come over and having league racing
This was totally awesome to watch from start to finish. I have to learn how to do this so I can enjoy spending more time with my sons doing this hobby. It will bring us closer together.
Dig concept. Subscribed. How about boats. Small 12-24” (inch) plastic model kits like Pt-109 or battleships. Great to get all those dusty models into ponds.
Dealer promo cars are pretty durable and are more likely to survive a crash in my opinion. If using a model kit, glue the hood on and reinforce the body where needed.
You need those chrome molotow markers bro \o/ They'd pop so good. Also you should totally show the build stage after the paint and prep stage, cause when i see how good you do up the car i can't -wait- to see it drivin around. Suspeeense
Thanks for watching everyone! This video took awhile to edit so I'm very happy to finally share it with all of you. 👍
❤❤❤
Is it possible to make an RC version out of some of my 1:18 scale model cars by Kyosho & Bburago? 🤔
@@gustav_a.mozumder2011 Probably, might need a bit different drivetrain solution though as it's a much larger & heavier model you'll be working with.
Turned out awesome! Nice job! Looks so cool too
Comment 👨🔧
That burnout at 22:37 really looks like the actual car. Awesome work, man!
yah that looks legit.
Put the Sound of V8
Ever since I was a kid, I've always wanted to convert a model to rc. Awesome job! wouldn't mind seeing a detailed one done!
That’s so cool that you used a dealer promo model as a base for this RC! I love these style of Camaros, my dad used to have a white ‘83 when he was in college. Great build, always enjoy your content. Much love from Texas!
i love the slo mo burn outs and how the chassis act like its under actual load from the torque converter just like the real car. nice detail
MPC did a great job on that promo body, and the stance and realistic suspension squat while driving is impressive. The dusty tire spinning shots looked real.
I'd really like to see you build an older 911. With the battery on the very rear for realistic weight.
rear motor chassis are already on the market, like 3racing sakura d5 RR
Ahh that car brings back some fond memories. Beautiful job on it, only thing that would have made it better is if tou would have made it and IROC-Z. I know they weren't made in 83, but I have a spot in my heart for the old iroc's.
Crazy for how small of a model it is, it looks so realistic and I love it!
As an owner of an 84 Z28 in real life I thought this was the coolest thing ever! Definitely would like to build a white version of this to display inside my 84 at car shows.
Its so good that looks like a real life sized when in the set
Can’t believe how real the burnout looked rat down to the tire shaking lol great work
The body is actually very very accurate and well detailed.

More then a few of these cars if they’re still around have had LS swaps. I’ve personally done 3 of them
I had a Toy RC Camaro as a kid. If memory serves correct someone brought it back for me from Hong Kong. Awesome toy. Looked great and drove not too bad for a toy.
Looks like she came right out of my childhood!!

Love your videos they really help with my anxiety

like all the details you added and hell even the raised rearend😂
84 z28 owner here... youve done justice to this car. Excellent job

lol That's funny and a huge compliment as well. Thank you!

MakeitRC this is absolutely freaking awesomeness AWESOME !! Can we please see more of the detailed build you mentioned? Great work man !! 👍👌💪 Looks beautiful.
Thank you! Yes, I'm finally finishing up a 85 Trans Am that has a full interior and more detail. Stay tuned for that video. 👍
I think a LS swap and a very detailed engine bay would be badass
Looks fantastic. I've got one of those AMT IROC models. I should build mini of my 85 IROC.
That outside track was cool, very atmospheric with the sandy road you made. Great build.
First time seeing this kind of conversion. Beautiful, all of it!
i actually use to own this model, it was a 92 25th anniversary camaro. it sounded really nice with a flowmaster but this rc looks phenominal
Good to see it still on the road
Excellent work! I haven't dived into detailed RC models like your build but I really appreciate the work you and other detailed rc builders do to get these machines to run!
This here is my favorite generation of camaro. I'm currently building a 82' z28
The slow motion burnouts look like a real car, nice.
I can’t believe you did it. It looks just like my Camaro I just have t tops
i have a 1994 blazer with those same wheels this finished RC Car has, i love that style of wheel.
So, I am a diehard third gen guy, and this is the coolest video I have ever seen.
Beautiful upgrades to that model!!
Lol - Lovin' the slow-mo burnouts!
I used to use the plastic holder that all the parts snapped off of as roll bars and push bumpers on a bunch of creations I wish I still had all the model cars I built growing up thanks for bringing me back for a few
Awesome brother. 🤟🤠👍If your not familiar with the Ghost Camaro, look into it. You will want to build it.
Thank you. That would be an awesome build. Not only a cool car but the story behind it is incredible.

This looks absolutely amazing
I built slot cars out of 1/25 models. This is very cool!!! Yes it can be done with more details!!! Built a 87 buick grand national
This build is cool. I’d like to see you paint the car fully and do a more detailed build.
Whoaaaaaa so realistic THANK YOU 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have one!! It’s a teal z28 and I want to turn it into an RC now so I can match my actual car 😄 it’ll be so cool to have an RC identical to my car
If there was a 1982 Trans am firebird to build as a rc car 🤩
Really outstanding, since you did such a great job with attention to detail I wanted to tell you about one important thing that's missing.

coolest rc build vid i've seen in a long time. awesome. would be prefect with with working headlights and tails.
I have a 87 I daily, love this build
I had an 87 IROC. What a blast.
Man just looking at it run,
Looks good 👍, reminds me of the 1990 Camaro o used to drive sometime ago.
Another well done, inspiring video! makes me want to put a kit together.
Fingers crossed for a restock soon!
I love this and I think you should do a model with an original Chevy small block
Goddamn, this is the best background music I’ve heard in a long time.
Damn I really want that Camaro RC!
This is awesome I’m currently making a Napa toy s10 into a rc
I HAVE THIS CAR IRL as a project car AWESOME
Same color combo as mine!! Love it
Awesome build 💯🤘😎🇺🇸
That car looks awesome.
Makes me miss my 91 Camaro RS.
The red n Silver go great together for this car.

So so so cool!!!!!
Great job
Great build 👏 love that raido link transmitter got one myself after watching your videos it and always reliable 😀.
Matt Trakker would be proud!
The wheels look so good \o/
93 cobra w open hood will be sick
A lowrider with hydraulics would be awesome
Great job make it rc i am big (edit:really super fan of camaro model ) it's looks very much like the real one as your work dose justice to 3rd gen model with the 3d printed mirrors giving it nice touch anyway thanks for the video and have nice night bye now.
Amazing no rust!

I absolutely NEED THIS
Try put springs on the steering rod stopper for self center
This was totally awesome to watch from start to finish. I have to learn how to do this so I can enjoy spending more time with my sons doing this hobby. It will bring us closer together.
I have an ertl one, the same tooling as the promo cars. But now I need to make mine RC now.
Looks really awesome! I love old IROCs. If you can get your hands on a Firebird body, you should do a Knight Rider KITT build.
Welp, I just had a look at your channel & saw you're already working on a KITT. Rad! I hope there will be a long-form video when its complete.
I miss my 86 Iroc Great build
At least he got the sun-faded, oxidization spot-on!
Fantastic build! I love it. The base of the model was pretty good too, but you made a diamond from it. 👍👍👍
next time you do one you should use one of those tiny V8 engines and try to make a workong gearbox
I wanna do a hot rod🤗 these kits look awesome
This is awesome stuff man!
Wow! This burnout!
Awesome job
Yes Please 🙏 that would be Amazing. It would be great for my birthday. It and me both turn 40 next year 😭😭😭😭😉
Amazing, just awesomeness! Ready to see a chassis for those G-bodies now!
The music goes well with acid!
Love the builds
What a great build. Hope your channel grows a lot in the future, plenty of effort all around.
Great video. This is the first video I've seen from you and I enjoyed it. You've earned yourself a new sub
1987 Oldsmobile 442 I would love it 💙💯💪🏾
Dig concept. Subscribed. How about boats. Small 12-24” (inch) plastic model kits like Pt-109 or battleships. Great to get all those dusty models into ponds.

Awesome Camaro RC car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome accuracy, it has axle hop just like the real deal lol.
