Always preferred the look of the stiff legged Cardinal. Probably against popular opinion... Figured if I wanted retractable gear on a high wing plane, my choice would be a 210. I spent some time flying a 177 when I first got my PPL back in 1993-94. It was an early one - want to say it was like a 1967 or something. A 150HP model - A little underpowered, and the touchy stabilator needed getting used to, but it still seemed so much cooler than a 172. :)
