Listening to Carbon Based Lifeforms for the first time in my life; this beautiful music makes me feel I wasted the last decade by missing them!
It's not that deep bro, it's just space beep-bop
Same. But it is Never too late
@@Taijitubeevery day is new, cell, soul and sound, keep listening, it gets better every time, CBL!
Make that two decades. I remember listening to some of their stuff late 90s and early 2000s. But better late than never..
@@diamondzoydEverything can be as deep as you make it how about you not be so shallow lol
Carbon Based Lifeforms, Solar Fields, Stellardrone and lots of other wonderful composers... I spent my twenties listening to this music. It touched me deeply, my taste, my style, my thinking. It makes me who I am to a great extent.
And now that I'm in my thirties I can't stop my tears when I listen to these sounds. They feel like home that I'm not allowed to enter. I can only observe it from the distance. I can see the light, I remember the feeling but I lost the keys. I hope one day I'll find my way back.
I can recommend you the Soundtrack of the game Stellaris. It is really great: ua-cam.com/video/gcAEUuEq6iw/v-deo.html
Especially this part: ua-cam.com/video/pZ1E47M88p8/v-deo.html
It is so beautiful!
You can find the song text in the Internet.
I'd add Bonobo. Check them out.
I luckily experienced the same in my life :) It all began in about 15 years ago. Now I'm 34 and amazed to tears.
That's funny to me, because I view all of these groups as 'new'. Time is a concept of the mind. Time is not something that actually exists. Only now exists. As a creature of the 60s, to me, 60s is kind of old school. 50s is so ancient that I don't care to listen to anything from that period. 70s is maybe a little dated, but normal. 80s became too electronic/synthesized for my taste. Eg, computer programmed drum beats. 90s was like a welcome rebirth of the 70s in many ways. Just normal rock. And all the electronic groups you see as old, seem like some new form of electronic music to me. I didn't like it at first, but some of it I can appreciate. CBL, Sync24, etc. And to about a 98% extent, I don't know what the hell post millennium music is. I'd have a hard time thinking of even a single song post 2000. It just seems like crappy hip hop pop and silly tiny bopper music for girls in their early teens.
To me, electronic music is so inorganic that I can't really digest it as something composed. To me, it's something programmed into a computer. It's generated by a computer. It's difficult for me to even recognize it as music. It's like calling a screensaver a work of art. There's no physical talent or effort involved in the creation. So, I can't sense emotion in it. I can't sense a heart in it. It's just output from a computer program. It's like thinking of a fembot as in the same class of a woman made of flesh. There's some kind of disconnect from reality that must be engaged in for appreciation of the objects nature despite it's actual reality. I can only say a fembot looks sexy in a superficial way, but in my heart, I know it's just artificial, a product of technology.
@@chadkline4268, checked out "Bonobo". Not bad at all, although quite different realm from the ones I mentioned. But a bit too much "in your face" to my taste, TBH. I prefer more minimalistic soundscapes.
Time is a concept indeed. Depending on the scale, 10 years might be too much and a 1000 too few. But in terms of human life, 10 years is a lot. People change significantly, especially in terms of switching from 20s to 30s. But good music is beyond time. In many ways Pink Floyd sounds more modern and fresh than a lot of today's music. And Franz Liszt might sound more refreshing than Pink Floyd.
I agree with your thoughts apart from a couple of points. Electronics is just a tool, like a guitar. Any music can be as deep as composer's potential allows it, regardless of the tool. Of course there's software that can generate music automatically, but that is not music written by a human and I agree that it can rarely be worth attention. Otherwise, there's no difference essentially between a guitar or a synthesiser in terms of creativity or musical "dignity". Vangelis has created some of the greatest songs and he primarily used electronic synthesisers.
CBL just write the best possible music of this genre. Their sound is unreal, it goes straight to your inner body, blasting every defense
Destruyendo creencias y podría decir que te saca de la realidad colectiva y te lleva a la real
Music of the universe!
It's nice to lay here with other various ears who are here sharing a quiet moment in time. Please, person potentially reading this. Don't forget to breathe. :)
Its a grey, wet and windy autumn Sunday here today. No better music than CBL for the mood. Yet, its uplifting, insulating me from the outside world. A little bit of peaceful heaven...
CBL is a gift to the world, they are always among my all time favourites. I've listened to their music so many times, it helped me through shitty times, it gave me relief from stress and despair, or it made happy days even more delighting. Beautiful, honest and timeless music, thank God for giving us Carbon Based Lifeforms.
I fully agree 👍🏼

@@SeektheLordsface Does he make EDM?
I listen to this when I'm out fishing alone and you wanna talk about getting lost in the moment...
Absolutely amazing feeling
It's one of those last nights of October and you lay in your bed and you are smoked AF. You just saw that great movie of Coen brothers and your Mind is blown up. You have deep thoughts of yourslef and your family, friends. You think with care and feel of responsibility.
You just stare at your smartphones screen and your eyes are shaking, you feel dizzy and sick and you are so amazed by that night sky full of stars. And then you dont care at all. And then again. You hear real instruments, built by Mans hand and not by his Mind only. (dont bother my brother of that Mind of big L)
And I hear that soft tone of high note and some words What About a Forrests?
So glad to hear CBL still being enjoyed… I used to listen to this regularly 20 years ago.
Takes me back to the rave days late 90's early 2000's, such a great duo
WHOA! this is unbelievably good. Like it gives such an intense feeling of like the expansiveness of space. It's so beautiful and relaxing
Try “in the branches” expanse sessions. One of my fav ambient artists He creates moods that no one else seems to even come close too.
Also. CBL is really good. That’s why I’m here obviously 😎
Yes!!! CBL is amazing like that 💕
This went off for me last night
I've had some of the most profound experiences of my life listening to these tracks. Words cannot convey my deep appreciation for them.
Couldn't agree more.

Hey all the people who agree with this.. y not we get together..?
Indeed, goosebumps and tears every time.
CBL. There vibrations helped me through to my sobriety, helped me through my horrendous withdrawals, now I'm clean and happy, thank you CBD thank you Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Vadestrid. Much love 💕
They have been my favourite band since 10 years (lucky to see them again live on Sunday:-), and this is (from my view) truly a "best of". Running in the background very often, thank you!!
this spacey music lifts man out of the muddled shithole that life here can be at times. Each of us feels this longing, this homesickness and sometimes we don't even know which home we miss so much.but it's actually quite simple - all those who feel that this is not their home, feel the seal that God put in our hearts so that we can find our way home, more clearly than others. Since I've allowed this thought, it feels everything more logically and rationally.
I started off loving MOS 6581 like I imagine many did but Gryning 47:20 has really been winning me over as well. It has this nostalgic sound, like the audio version of an intermission or old memories in video.
Booooooyah!!!!!!! 💫💥💓💜❤🧡💛💚💙
I keep having more and more music come at me like this - absolutely mind resting yet exciting and full of flavour and depth at the same time...a melody of life...chaos and harmony combined 🤯🤩
Every time I have a epileptic seizure I always listen to CBL as soon as possible after coming out of the hospital, (or waking up at some random place) if I don't have my headphones with me already at the hospital and it is like the first time I am hearing them and it helps me get through life with frequent GTC seizures.
I got goosebumps all over....it made me feel safe, like even if I was in my death bed, I would surrender myself knowing everything was gonna be just fine! ( if that makes any sense!)
It's simply happy... in a gentle but esoteric way. Thank you.
I had MOS 6518 on repeat about a decade ago. FEELS
MOS 6581 - Just one word to describe it "OUTSTANDING"
Oh I love their music! Instand goosebumps when it started!
Set Theory, the sound...transcending, floating beginning....what is that magical sound.... ?? So glad I fell into your blissful soundscape ✨
Thanks for sharing these beautiful vibes. I have mostly have listened to CBL while cycling. The regular bass rhythms help to keep the legs moving up hills. The melodies and surreal effects add another dimension to environment. I feel like I am gliding through landscapes and everything is in sync and harmonized and I am flowing. Natural high. 🦋
There are so many wonderful songs on this list that it is extremely difficult to pick a favorite, but I'll go with Neurotrasmitter, #10 at 01:02:00. I listened to this one while I was in the hospital recovering from a brain aneurysm. The brain is a wondrous, mysterious organ indeed. That really brings back memories. Bad memories to be sure, but memories nonetheless.
Perfect for Shrooms🙏💚🍄💚🙏
What an exquisite rich body of CBL's mastery! Thank you :)
LOVE IT! :) Thanks for sharing
I've played this single video probably a dozen or so times while at work over the past 2 weeks. It's perfectly mixed.
Oh Gods, this is illegal to make such music, Carbon Based Lifeforms I can listen on repeat for days, weeks, months, years 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
❤️🧡💛💚🤍💙💜
Erratic Patterns gives me shivers every time I hear it.
I transcended my soul into the cosmos
So glad to have found this tonight! Never listened to CBL before but it just so happens that I am working on healing my mind this evening with a therapy session of light K and psychs. Then this pops up on my feed. What timing, my head is 🤯
How'd it work? I was thinking of listening to this during my next ketamine infusion
@@serialfreak8115 worked great. Helped me dive deep into my psyche. Saw myself from a 3rd person point of view as if I were another person. Realized many of my behaviors and toxic tendencies that need to change.
Absolute perfection.
CBL gets better every time I listen to them. Older, newer, doesn't matter a bit. I'm addicted
Thanks so much for this compilation!
Absofrickinlutly mindblowingly amazing.
Incredible combination - as always!

Hello, do the songs have an author? I would like to find the music at 06:29 please :)
Ah nvm, Carbon Based Liforms IS the author it seems ^^
Dope music 🎶. Mind blowing!
This is so good I've probably listened to it 100 times already
Same probably more then 100 myself.
The best CBL mix I've ever listened to
WOW, second Track big Love!!
beautiful
What a mind traveler!
My favorite of this genre
I love so much CBL that I'm thinking of naming my first child Carbon Based Lifeforms >.>
I am so much in love with them ❤

Awesome music.
Wow, just wow. I procrastinated all day until I found this, and now I am smashing the work out. Track at 2.02 as me going.
No better music than CBL for the mood. I absolutely love it
Awesome Carbon Based Lifeforms ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Alucinante, Maravillosos sonidos.
Моя любимая музыка,которую я слушала более 10 лет назад.
Самая 1 композиция особенно❤
прекрасная музыка,особенно закрыв глаза
Thank you for perfect playlist for magic trip 🔥
If this artist isn't composing film scores they should be, great stuff!
They actually did for one movie, 2013's Refuge, movie itself looks like it didn't do so well, but the soundtrack is really good. CBA's album goes by the same name and was released in 2014.
Producing music score for movies is time bound thing with deadlines and a lot of stress, comparing to writing music with your own pace and be your own boss and produce music you like and envisioned
Solar fields signed by Ultimae Records did the soundtrack to the game Mirrors Edge. Same publishing as CBL and in the same of genre as well.
I’m sure that German probably has a word to express this concept, but this music makes me feel like I’m looking out the window on a cold, dreary day. Wishing it were nicer, but at the same time feeing grateful for having a warm cozy roof over my head.

You should listen to Lorn and Talvekoidik
thanks
CBL, together with Machinehead (!!!), guided me through the darkest hours of my life so far. Without this music I wouldn't be here anymore. Music my savior.
Absolutely fantastic for editing my sci-fi/romance novels. I can't thank you enough for putting these compellations together!
I hate to edit the editor, but don't you mean _compilation_. The word _compellation_ has a different meaning altogether.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you!
This is the gem the epic of psy ambient. You found a treasure. This is music without limits. Enjoy!

it's not a sin to die to such music, not here, but on another planet,
Bonne continuation.
