Although I've moved on and live my own life now, it's strange how this album still holds so many raw emotions, which all come flooding back every time I listen to it. 10-13y ago I used to listen to CBL when falling asleep. The albums were usually on loop. In almost every case, I experienced vivid lucid dreams (I woke up and walked around the room, listening to their music whilst watching my body sleeping on the bed). After those dreams, I remember waking up in the morning super rested, like it was the best sleep of my life. Years passed by, I was still often listening to CBL, but not before sleep anymore. Recently I did it again, played Derelicts before sleep, and there it happened again, both to me and my partner. Vivid dreams, body's sleeping, but both of us awake within the sleep and listening. In the morning I shared it with my partner and described the spontaneus geometric colorful shapes I was seeing in front of my eyes, like in the caleidoscopio. And she said she experienced exactly the same. No drugs involved, just the music playing during the night. I mean, there is something shamanic and hypnotic within their music. Something I like to describe as universally good.
Well, it is said that as long as the music plays, Hope never dies. And astrophysicists have confirmed that stars "sing, vibrate". They've been around for a long time. And will be. I think we all have a pretty good chance.
Euphotic makes me really, really sad but in a spiritual kind of way that's hard to explain. It's like an affirmation of my weirdness... if all the weirdness in me were a song, that's how it would sound.
The first time I realized I'm in love with someone is when I listened to ''Frog''. I was listening to it and then thought of her, and realized I'm in love thinking like ''Oh my god, I'm in love, this is what it feels like'' :D
Callum I know exactly what you mean, you worded it quite well seeing as these kinds of things, by their very nature - are ineffable I find it strangely appropriate in the irony that great artists like these guys can conjure music and create tracks which in some weirdass way make the sadness of it so moving that that this is where its beauty chiefly comes from. These two are masters of their craft. Perfect for smoking DMT to...just absolutely spot on perfect. Love to all - Cal
I got really depressed listening to this as I reflected on the fact that I wasn't doing my work... Not my job work but my true creative work. So, to take action, I paused at the Euphotic song and turned on my apollo quad and logic pro to get to work. Thank you. I mean, honestly, thank you for the inspiration. Even though there was an initial dip, the overall experience was incredibly and realistically inspiring.

Hi,CARBON BASED LIFEFORM,im glad i met your beautiful music,it brings me peace joy, happyness, you are an incridible musical artist,it brings a journey into our lifes, you are the world best sound in music, god bless you always to you an your family an friends. Hugo
Before setting off from Ireland to Germany on a road trip i had recently discovered this music. I decided to use it as my driving playlist for the most interesting parts of the journey with the intention it would imprint the memory and music together. Here I am now 5 years later, back home and listening to this. It worked. It does trigger some awesome memories and adds that slightly melancholic feel to it which the journey had...(Leaving things behind).
Does this kind of music leads you to depression and anxiety when you realize how vast our opportunities and potentials are as human beings floating in this cosmic infinity? It kinda opens my mind so much that i lose my identity and ego in this physical realm, a moment of realization that everything connects to the same thing, circular, over and over again, and yet every next circle opens up new manifestations. Why are we not making any progress collectively?
Stefanos Lalić Social media and a shit education system that only values the people willing to be slaves to the elite company's we are raised to be weak by elites. This is why we achieve little as a collective 🤔
@@DanielFlores-fo1ee I would rather say belief in God exactly makes one think that way. OP mentions the "one thing everything connects to". If that isn't a (one of many) definition for God, I am not sure what could be. But maybe I don't understand, so please elucidate what "God" has to do with the OPs comment that humans are not making collective progress? Do you think belief in God suffices to resolve all the issues in the world. God frowns upon that assumption, I think. It takes hard work to steward Earth and if we fail, it's gone forever. See if God cares about you then, when this world eats you up and spits you back out. See if you still praise it when you get eaten. God told me it is the greatest thing out there we will never meet. Our journey home will take an eternity. Don't let a beautiful belief be the basis of our downfall, though. If your belief in God stops you from actually serving God (working together to improve the world) there is a big gap to be overcome. Please next time, don't stop after saying "but but God", because that's literally preaching to the quire. Explain why you think your thought is correct. As in why you think a belief in God would prevent any of the OPs thoughts. Because for me they don't, rather they're the basis for it. Take care all.
You don't need to understand it. you only need to be it; to change with it and to move flow forward with it. It's not taking any where and it has no destination, and because of that you could never be lost.
Funny how big CBL has been apart of my adult life thus far....I still recall vividly the first time listening to them the summer after I graduated High School in 2011...I was just getting into Psybient/Psychill and the name "Carbon Based Lifeforms" really struck with me so when I ingested morning glory seeds and came to a state of euphoria the whole CBL discography was playing in the dimly-lit room on shuffle. They've been my all time favorite group ever since.
I used to listen to the entirety of the this album on my psychedelic journeys and it would always bring me on the most dazzling trips. There is such a feeling of adventure to this album. Its brought tears to my eyes on numerous occasions. I would eat my mushrooms, turn all the lights off for COMPLETE darkness, turn interloper on and just stare into the dark. It would be so dark that there would be no difference if I closed or opened my eyes. From the darkness would slowly come light and geometry, eventually forming into full on worlds. One of the most insane things I saw listening to this album on mushrooms was transitioning from seeing thousands of ballerinas dancing in the air to flying through a futuristic complex city. These guys make this music for tripping I swear. And they are DAMN good at it! This album will forever be a part of my heart. It will forever remind me of the deep dives into my own mind.
I love this music, I found this some time ago and was attached instantly...I used to run to this music, damn that was and still ist awesome! BUT: the last time I listened to these tracks I was doing Tai Chi, Holy Moly, this nearly made my mind go places...crazy, fluent and powerful, yet soft and easy moves just came to my mind and I was able to let go anything around me and just feel and perform the Tai Chi forms...that was absofrigginlutely next level!!!

+Robert Cooper Yes they were good Robert , checkout Lustmord and listen to it on the dead of night.
Supersuede - definitely one of the best track of CBL of all time!
I have kept coming back to this album the last two years. It's always been around like a warm embrace. then it hits you. the sheer beauty of the music. pure joy for me.
Это невероятно. То же самое. Уже 9 лет
Interloper and Frog are my two songs that bring me back down to earth when your mind is racing for no good reason.
That rare, wonderful moment when you love all the songs on an album. Yes.
Supersede is absolute magic,
unskippable whenever it pops up on the playlist,
like something is pulling me in and I dont even wanna escape.
holy shit i just found out these albums were remastered and now im gonna have the fattest CBL binge ever. SO GOOD.
this music makes me feel connected to something.
I never had feelings like this before with any music
really inspiring :)
The hyperdimensional super consciousness we are all connected to, are a part of. we come here and forget that we are an interloper inside the reality we create.
@@eTranscendence Thank you! We are all apart of a great whole that is so much bigger than ourselves. Our differences are circumstantial but our similarities are ingrained. We are not different in conscience we are different in circumstance.
Connected to the Truth 🖤👁🕉
Bright delphic disillusions
Paints the way, vivid grey
Follow that, luring path
And take the leap
Right where it..
Here they come, twilight times
Prepare yourself, for the fall
Let dark light ease the impact
And take the leap
Right where it ends
My deep yoga practice, with this music, has been a fantastic experience. Thanks a lot🙏 from Italy🇮🇹❤
Every single time I play this album, my whole mind, soul and body instantly relax. I love this music so much. God bless
Agreed. I can't stop listening to this album. Keep coming back and it's incredible every time
YESSS
Polytrytmi blows my mind every single time i listen to it, last four minutes are beyond epic
Ja przy tym płacżę... Ale pozytywnie! Pozdr.😄
Something I like to describe as universally good.
this isn't abnormal, it's actually proven by science.
They created an Immortal, eternal music, every album, every track. What an extremely unique people!
I want to listen to this on headphones and walk through a really nice forest on a cool summer day
Stole my thought only I would walk on a rainy evening same place
Try the same, but the Shadows fore and aft from half-life 2 soundtrack !
Same, but I want to walk through a weird colorful forest on some foreign planet instead
Don't get mauled by a bear...
Same, enhanced by some good shrooms :)
This music is great listening in these grim times.
Gotta get more CBL albums.
You get it.
The first time I realized I'm in love with someone is when I listened to ''Frog''. I was listening to it and then thought of her, and realized I'm in love thinking like ''Oh my god, I'm in love, this is what it feels like'' :D
I bid you welcome to the weird and wonderful clan of "The Outsiders" :)
Same here man...same feelings.
This is just a spectacular album. Simply their best. The best of the best.
Best CBL album. Always gives me chills.
Listening trance music from 1994. And now i walking with my 3rd little son in a babystoller and listen interlooper.
Saturday morning, Midwestern United States. Sitting down at the computer contemplating life and everything. Hopefully achieving a better understanding of how to be better and continue being happy. Life changes so much yet we can only keep pushing through with an insatiable determination. Never stop living.
The best melodic album from CBL
Period.
Excellent album. Have listened to it mostly while studying for my CCNA.
+Louis C.K That's funny. I have been studying Cisco while listening to CBL and similar themes for some time :)

Jan Akkerhuis thanks mlord
+Louis C.K listening to this while study server
In one of the Interview by Armin , One of my fav dj, He mentioned this is one of his all time fav album. And he is absoutely correct , this is gem.
Armin is EDM, CBL is proper electronic music.
sat on the balcony with some red wine = WOW 😀
I never listened to the entirety of "Polyrytmi" until just now, the second half of it is just awesome.
I have no words
I feel like crying after reading comments on this music 🎶 amazing 😉
i've said it before and i'll say it again:this album is amazing....some bits are jaw droppingly good in their transitions....
again to all those who say electronic music is easy - make something like this if you think it is soooo easy....lol.
CBL- Interlooper, Connect.Ohm - 9980, Brian Eno- Apollo and Pink Floyd- Dark Sied of The Moon
Best Albums in this World.
The Ocean-precambrian
Great list. I would add Circular - Moon Pool, to that list. Also a mindblowing Ultimae album.
Pearl O'Neil - So Flows The Current ( something like that..)
as a fellow sound creator, i cannot believe how someone makes such beautiful music
blows my mind
I perceive such a deep respect for nature itself through CBL.
This music touches my soul I can fly above the clouds when I'm listening to this....
Sylwia Nyczke sugar

From 0:00:00 to 1:14:57 it was great but after that it got kinda boring.

@@KobesMind I understand
Yes sir
CBL are the best! Listened to it constantly when writing my dissertation.
This music is incredible - very organic and versatile. I can listen to it at work while coding or lying on my bed chilling out and letting it absorb me.
2 o' clock at night, downpour just stopped, cycling through the outskirts of hometown. Highly doubt that any other album will top the feelings this will give me.
Hi,CARBON BASED LIFEFORM,im glad i met your beautiful music,it brings me peace joy, happyness, you are an incridible musical artist,it brings a journey into our lifes, you are the world best sound in music, god bless you always to you an your family an friends. Hugo
Carbon Based Lifeforms: Perfect for creating artwork on the computer. Mandelbulb3D animation to be specific.
After the freakin' YT ad, this was like stepping into a pristine forest by a lake. Yeah, I'm gonna go float for a while...
Come float with us Georgie, we all float together down here 😂 sorry, I had to do it
Yeah, fucking ads
Does this kind of music leads you to depression and anxiety when you realize how vast our opportunities and potentials are as human beings floating in this cosmic infinity? It kinda opens my mind so much that i lose my identity and ego in this physical realm, a moment of realization that everything connects to the same thing, circular, over and over again, and yet every next circle opens up new manifestations. Why are we not making any progress collectively?
Stefanos Lalić Social media and a shit education system that only values the people willing to be slaves to the elite company's we are raised to be weak by elites. This is why we achieve little as a collective 🤔
Well if you believe in God then you wouldn't think that way.
why? because we care more about what we wear?
Because spretually we are very weak due to being too much materialistic.
After 8 years it resonates. Infinity ❤
I have studied for so many hours listening to Interloper...
You don't need to understand it. you only need to be it; to change with it and to move flow forward with it. It's not taking any where and it has no destination, and because of that you could never be lost.
Thank you to everyone who recommended polyrytmi, never gave that song a chance till now, and I've been listening to CBL for 10 years.
It's a bit sad that the tracks don't flow into each other neatly any longer. But still a great remaster - love it!
I just had a life changing meditation experience to this. thanks
We need CBL live BAND shows .. take my money am traveling across oceans to listen to this . PLEASE
there is now

I liked this video ages ago and was like "meh I'll look at this later, been listening to too much chill music." Boy was I missing out!
After many hours of cbl listening, i think M is the best track :D
Was ;oving Carbon Based Lifeforms already, but they raised the bar with this album, a masterpiece!! Definitely going to check out all the rest of their stuff. Anyone who claims electronic music lacks soul should be made to listen to this.
7,8,9 great tracks for the soundtrack of anyone's life
what does that even mean?
