Any adjustments you would suggest to the item list to work with D2R Ubers? Thx for taking the time to make the video too, cheap effective builds are always interesting especially when they involve original items and not bis runewords

@Drouw crushing blow + attack rating.... He has 2 rings with +1140 AR. I don't think you can have as much AR than this combo... If you do 4x more damage but you hit ten times less, your damage are useless. Then, he has crushing blow at 60%.... It down the life of the bosses by 6,5% + static field... thats why you see sometime "big damage".

I really like your idea of playing Diablo. It's not about most op, meta builds that most of community seems to be obssesed with - endless hammerdins, endless sorcs . You always try out new builds with underrated items or you make an alteration to previously known build but with cheaper items....that kind of stuff keeps me interested in Diablo for so many years. Keep up a good work . P.S If you'll have some free time you could try Berserk barbarian. I wonder what would be your opinion on that build.
Wojtaz Łoles Thanks man I agree I like having high end gear but at the same time I like to see the possibilities with cheap gear as well. I never tried a pure berserk barbarian though that would be interesting.
Ive been running frenzy/berserk barbs for years lol budget start every ladder end with ebotdz x2 fort and more :) highly underrated but very versatile and useful

instead of amn rune in Bloodmoon, should put P Skull for both life and mana leach so you don't need to carry mana potions
When I read 'cheap frenzy build' I was half expecting "Yo dude, first you need 2x 'last wish', dude." or some shit, but I got pleasantly surprised. :D
And your merc should have ebugged sacred armor fortitude with eth breath of the dying :D

Barbarian was my first character i've ever played in Diablo 2 when it came out in 2001. It was a disaster cos I didn't speak english and didn't understand the mechanics of the game. Since then I built quite a lot characters but never a barbarian. When Resurrected come out I will start a barb like in the old times, but this time it will be awsome thank to your guide video. I used this as ref with my frenzy and its served me well thx.
I didn't get any decent drops between norm- hell act 5 but speed and leech got me thru. Cleared the game using the Jade Tan Do & Ginmershred throwing axes.

Wow! Cheap and funcional frenzy barb. These builds types are the ones I like. Other builds are very expensive and practically never do it. Very cool!

Tip for buying the +3 warcry javelins : you can shop at Anya and use the nilhatak red portal in and out to reset her stash.
Anya offers only like 3 spears tho i dont know if thats efficient

Hey bud. Running a barb & when i equip dual swords the life steal and crushing blow etc varies on plugy char stats page2 on which sword i equip first. Running Bloodmoon and KIngslayer and wont get the CB on KS unless i change order of equipping... Grrr?

Great budget build. What difficulty clvl should I be for shopping bo sticks/swords ? I like wen thay are red so I don't have to look to hard. I also some time like the swords as I can put a hel rune in them.

I really just wanted to say if you put frenzy on right click you don't need to aim or shift+click no more. Can't see the reason why not, right? I have my skills on was and around it, so I can swap skills without delay. just a thought, gl hf

Giant skull has always been one of my favorite helms. Its not good by any metric but i just love it for some reason

I never knew the normal merc was better than the hell merc wow can’t believe I learned something new about diablo 2
They have the same auras, but leveling anormal merc used to end with better base stats, nightmare mercs have different auras
is this good for travincal item finding? maybe change 20 battle orders instead to 20 Item find, just for travincal would he survive?

You can use Howl to fear enemies better then Leap but Leap is good tho to get through walls if u dont have Decrepify u can also use Battle cry for AOE -def and -dmg Taunt on bosses if u dont do ubers in that case life tap for sure!
What do you think of phase blade lawbringer in the offhand?
Did they remove the ability to up to an eth PB? Because I've never seen you use one yet.

Do merc get benefit from attack raiting from equipment?
Spirit swords are great for +warcries in swap - best you can use before lvl 45, best than you can find before lvl 85. And extra cheap easy for barbs because (almost) all 2H swords can be 4 socket and the random rolls don't really matter.
Malah sucks, shop +warcries weapons at Larzuk instead - then socket with junk +MF% or +GF% jewels for bonus on Find Item, ain't much but it adds up a lot if you use it a lot, more items and more gold.

Hello! I made this exact build, but I cannot get that sick life stolen you get. I just get 40 to 60 hp per hit, way lower that what you seem to get. Why does this happens?
Some enemies have drain resistance. In hell difficulty most undead have 33% drain effectiveness and physical resistance too. So if you do let's say 1k dmg after resist and have 20 LL then you drain 200 base but times .33 is only 66 life drain per hit. You can check monster stats at the arreat summit website to confirm this. Hope that helps :P
So tried this yesterday, here my experience:
my gear is pretty similar to the video just adding arreats (with ral for lili), draculs, verdungo, ravenfrost and gore boots. Was able to easily kill izual and duriel but struggled a bit with lilly and posion. A lot of adds so I killed them first, also took some time tping back to town and so on. Merc act2 recommended in the video died quite often so became useless
Then went along to tristram and managed to kill diablo and baal. the problem came with Mephisto, tried thunder belt and even lightsabre for light absorb but the adds spam too much poison and is annoying, managed to reduce mefisto down to 30% but it became undoable due to the constant healing plus respawning of ads when I scaped to town or to heal up. Then guess what, decided to go to sleep while in game, later on I found gamr crashed and I basically lost my keys and portals now. I guess. Ticket to support was opened
Any ideas / tips? Shall I stick to the guide and try guillaums and life tap item rarher than wait 5% draculs chance? What is going wrong here? Thx! Love.

Barbarian class is basically a tank with legs, very tall... very thick... Bodybuilder muscles... That's mean that this guy have more atributes in strengh, stamina and defense, can be use heavy armors and heavy weapons with two hands.
I play a Zealot, so if I had a Decrepify wand, could it break Physical Immune like Reapers Toll??
-50% yes so you can break immunties up to 109% (1/5 value when immune)
As much as people used to rage about how good Zealadin was, Fury Druid and Frenzy Barb were far superior if you knew what you were doing.
What’s the best way to play Diablo 2 now of days? Is it fun online or would I be better off just grinding my own single player mode characters out?

only 2 Helmets have crushing blow, G-Face (35%) and Giant Skull (10%)
and only 2 Helmets with deadlystrike G-Face (15%) and bloodcrafts (5-10%)
So yes G-Face is a little bit overpowered :D

What are the priorities on skills while leveling? Which ones should I choose first?
lvl up as a double-swing barbarian, switch to frenzy and max that out at 24-44, then weapon mastery, then the shouts (life/skill)... at some point, when you got decent gear you can then consider a re-skill.
just pickup items that resemble the stuff in the video and build some cheap rune words along the way and you'll be fine
Doesn't the merc die a lot? I was hoping to use an Act5 one as a tank providing Sanctuary, but he barely survives a single boss group in CS... I play unmodded SP, so no Lawbringer and I put an Azurewrath on him, but it's basically the same thing - not enough physical damage for him to leech good amounts of life.
Somewhere a few patches ago they nerfed LL, especially vs undead.

Hello, guys. I got a pretty [dumb/noob] question: Is it possible to replay the campaign, again, after finishing it in Hell difficulty?? I'm not the kind of Diablo gamer that play for the farming and items, I like the story mode, dialogues, missions, etc.. So, after finishing with my Necromancer in Hell difficulty, I wish to replay the campaign on Hell in order to max his level. Is it possible?

After 18 years of playing LoD on/off my idea of 'Barb budget build' quite differs from anyone else's:
- no trading at all (100% self-found)
- best rune word would probably be Honor
- forget being anywhere close to max resistance in Hell
- 1200 dmg is excellent
- 3.5k attack rating would suffice
- 2k HP with Battle Orders maxed is fine
- MF is an illusion

Jeremiah Davis Yes the community on ladder is still pretty strong and the spam bots that once ruined the online have been wiped from the game. This game is absolutely still worth playing today.
I play Single Player, and it's worth it. Been playing since 2004 off and on, great game.
