One of my favorite things about this intro is that it's just the cast running around. But just from watching them run, you can instantly get a feel of what their character is. The dad running high legs goofy, Shampoo head forward with determination in her eyes, Ryoga with aggressive teeth like he's looking for a fight, Ranma as well just running normally because EVERYONE else is just crazy. Plus I think it summarizes Ranma to a tee: Just a few characters for a moment, then suddenly more characters appear causing problems, then suddenly MORE characters appear until the climax. It just works on so many levels, really getting into the core of what Ranma 1/2 is about.
Knowing that they’re bringing Ranma back, I really hope they do something similar with the static images of the characters at the beginning and simulate it like a zoetrope to imitate movement.

Girl Ranma is by far the best girl of the anime, or at least the hottest. Shampoo is very cute, but not as sexy as Ranma. Ukyo is pretty cool. Kuno is useless. And Akane is a shitty tsundere. Ranma>Shampoo>Ukyo>Kuno>Akane
They didn't end this series properly... They should have ended this series with Akane and Ranma's wedding but instead even in the manga, they messed up that wedding finale thanks to Nabiki
I want to see proper happy endings for Takahashi Rumiko’s old works like Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura. Both of those shows basically went back to square one when the manga ended. I think only Maison Ikkoku got a proper happy ending that’s solidly in place. I want to see what happened to the characters of these mangas after it ended. I think as fans we at least deserve at the very least, a one shot or OVA of the aftermath of the manga.
This was my childhood, like I genuinely loved this anime somehow much, it's a shame they didn't animate till the funny asf saffron arc but it's so worth watching! I'll be forever grateful for Rumiko takahashi for making my childhood ✨😭

Your hate for the series is funny and stupid at the same time because you're comparing two different show with different targeted audiences. Ranma 1/2 is shounen while School Days is seinen and that was heavily toned down compared to its VN version.

NinjaNick96 I thought the first half of SAO was decent, but I wouldn't tell somebody to watch it either. I'd recommend Space Brothers, Chihayafuru, and Hunter x Hunter (2011 version). Space Brothers is about two brothers striving to become astronauts, and all the main characters are grown adults, which is refreshing. Chihayafuru is a shojo/sports anime that's just all around heartwarming with lovable characters (if you're open minded with shojo anime, it's worth checking out). Hunter x Hunter is by the author of Yu Yu Hakusho. The first couple of episodes might feel typical, but it starts out that way for a reason and by no means is the rest of the show your run of the mill shounen series. This is the only shounen fighting anime I've been following since DBZ and the first few seasons of Naruto ended airing on toonami back when. Hunter x Hunter is the only mainstream anime on this list, but if you're looking for more anime like Space Dandy that are more accessible, let me know. I've sat through enough crap to see some good stuff too, lol.

My mother's friend gave me a box set of Ranma 1/2 as a gift when I was about eight or nine years old. I remember watching it on an old monitor with an in built DVD player in my room, way before I even knew what anime was. I usually think of Naruto as my first "proper" anime since I didn't even realize that this, too, is anime until years later, but this is the one that started it all. I had completely forgotten about this OP until now. Good times

I remember watching it on an old monitor with an in built DVD player in my room, way before I even knew what anime was. I usually think of Naruto as my first "proper" anime since I didn't even realize that this, too, is anime until years later, but this is the one that started it all. I had completely forgotten about this OP until now. Good times
