    Thank you for being such a great teacher! And for all your wonderful tools! I love every single one I’ve ordered from you. I’m enjoying make my own version of this form as gifts for my loved ones for Christmas. I wish I could show you a photo of what I threw yesterday, but UA-cam won’t let me share.

    Hsin, another great video. I appreciate seeing the forming process and the follow through until the piece is done. Ovals I think are particularly difficult to get a well formed piece. Thanks so much.

    Lovely piece. I just love your attention to detail. Have been watching you for some years and still do not understand how you use your right hand to raise the pot. Could you possibly do a video of that process, and how to mix, apply and dry the sodium silicate. Thank you so much, love your tools.

    What material did you use for your white bat?

    Beautiful! What do you use to get that beautiful brown color I’ve seen on so many of your pieces of pottery?

    So. The Sodium Silicate creates the texture?

    Thank you, as always, for your generosity in sharing your skills with us. I wonder what effect the sodium silicate has on the glaze, and if there are certain glazes you mustn't use with it. Cheers from northern Japan.

      I don’t experience any difference when applying glazes on sodium silicate surface or regular surface. Maybe it is because I wasn’t using any light color glazes on the sodium silicate texture.

    This is great thank you! Do you fire cone 10 for the sodium silicate? Can it work at cone 5/6? Thank you 🙏

    • @JohnLowes
      @JohnLowes 2 роки тому +1

      The sodium silicate works at 5/6, 10 and low fire too. The drying forms a skin that cracks when stretched, making the surface texture immediately.

      Agreed with John’s comment. Using sodium silicate is to achieve the crackle texture rather than affecting the glazes or firing temperature.
