Woohoo!! The baby at the end is 'The Stig'. He's was the shows professional racing driver. He drove all the test cars as fast as they could go to see which one was the quickest round their track.

There must be a video out there of all the ‘Some say…’ Stig introductions.

Some say that he thought that Star Wars was a documentary and that he knows two facts about ducks and both of them are wrong. All we know is, he’s called the Stig!!!
Such a shame that you can't watch the shows in their entirety, particularly the Specials. That middle east one is truly epic. Just brilliant TV.

The one where they go to Vietnam on motorbikes is the best one for me
The helium one was that they bought three old cars and then filled them with helium. The idea being that the more panel gaps and holes, the more it would leak out. If the helium stayed in the car, the presenter would end up with a squeaky voice and the car would have done well for not having loads of gaps and leaks in it. It was a silly test.

Right Connor. The cardboard cut-out was of The Stig, their 'tame racing driver', a mainstay of the show and in reality a professional rally driver whose identity was a very well-kept secret. You probably already know this. However the original Stig blotted his copybook and left the show under a shadow. A story someone else can elaborate on. Anyway that explains Hammond's "in the back" rant.
Next, they re-created the journey of the three wise men, to find the "bayeby jeezuz" to quote Clarkson but lo and behold, when they arrive the baby is a Stig! And they all lived happily ever after.
You really need to watch some complete episodes. They were the high-spot of Sunday evening TV.

The Stig blotted his copy book because he was annoyed at being "hidden" and was unable to use his fame to make money. He wrote a book revealing himself as the Stig without the knowledge of the guys or the powers that be in the studio
I must admit that being baffled by The Stig at the end is rather like watching a Sherlock Holmes clip and saying ‘So who’s this Watson guy?’
The Stig was the shows professional driver who tested the cars and was also involved in certain top gear specials occasionally, the thing was his identity was always supposed to be a secret, unfortunately the guy announced who he was, did interviews, wrote a book etc and was ultimately sacked. This clip depicts the 'new' stig being born and replacing old stig.
The original Stig ( Ben Collins ) had left the show ...so they did a Middle East Special .. taking the route of the 3 wise men to Bethlehem to see thy baby Jesus ...which turned out to be new baby Stig , brilliant special to watch
The child is “The Stig” who you will learn about by watching more episodes.

These three guys crack me up. I've seen some of the shows from Top Gear, and everything from The Grand Tour on Prime

Basically in the UK in primary school we do a nativity play about how the baby Jesus being born. When you was a kid in the UK you didn't really want to be one of the kids with lines. So I asked to be a sheep, I was a given role of sheep and it was great they told me to act like a sleeping sheep. I actually slept through the play.
But the baby stig is meant to be the baby Jesus. Basically a taking piss
Seeing this, I realize only now that series 16 is actually mad strong

Lots of in jokes built up over the years, so you won't get them with just compiled clips. Watch a couple of full episodes. Funnily enough, I'm doing that on Yesteryear channel in the UK. I watched them 10+ years ago when originally aired, but had forgotten a lot of them. They are making me laugh all over again... 😄
The 'tiger interview' chap was Deputy Prime Minister John "Two Jags" Prescott. If you can find the full section with him it is very funny indeed 😀
If you want a brilliant Top Gear episode, react to the one with the ambulances, I nearly wet myself laughing…
That’s a German Shepard ( mostly ) I’ve got scars on my hands and back from one of those. But I’ve managed to pet a few since and they can be nice dogs
the stig comes in many forms he was a character un the show tests how fast it goes round the track

Maybe you should start watching full things. Suggest maybe taking suggestions on people's favourite episode? Mine still is to this day the one where they drove to the Millau Viaduct in series 7 (episode 3). Something about that episode..

You should watch a season of Top Gear probably I would say season 1-12 is is the golden years if your into cars but if you like a lot of the funny shit seasons 13 and above

So many out of context bits...just too much typing to explain them all...others have gotten most of them. You really should just go back and watch the show in order from the beginning of the Charkson Hammond May era...that is your best bet for getting all the jokes. 💯✌
