Judith is very special, one of the most distinctive recognizable singing voices in the world, as well as the Seekers as a whole. She is a very special personality.
A great, iconic Group. Judith was a marvelous and a great lead singer but the other three were magnificent musicians and excellent with backup vocals. Any time Bruce was asked to sing lead, he did a great job. An undervalued and excellent singer. I think Judith would probably overshadow most other singers.
They probably needed a break, and some new musical secenery. I think Judith, for one, has said she needed some solo time. The important thing is, they *did* come back, and they could still keep hitting it out of the park! Fred
The Seekers are beautiful after all these years. Still slim, still full of energy, enthusiasm and showmanship and still with that greart harmony. Any Judith, those same 100 million guys who fell in love with you in the 1960's and 1970's still love you today. There will be no replacement in our hearts for you - ever. Long life to the Seekers.
Been a fan since the start. Brilliant group singing like they were in their twenties. Nothing they turn out is anything less than a revelation. I watch these clips on UA-cam daily, better than whiskey
I was raised, about the same time the Seekers were getting popular and I never heard of them. I ran into there by accident on the internet and now they are my favorite group. She has a voice of an angle
Same. I grew up loving Georgy Girl and only later did I learn more about the group and their wonderful music. It has been a rich and wonderful discovery. Priceless!!!
I think you mean 'angel' Lee, but i get your gist ..... i've stuck with this brilliant group since i was eight years of age, i'm now 64 ... all these years and their great songs have remained constant throughout my life.
WOW! Just saw this for the first time. They are like wine that has improved with age. Put them up against any group from the 60's in 1997 and they would put them to shame. I can't get enough of her beautiful, clear voice. What a national treasure for Australia!!!
That's the thing, isn't it? Back in the 60's and 70's we had the greatest music of all time , and the largely unknown Seekers were totally 'green' when they first arrived in England in 1964 with their folk songs , they took a big chance on people liking what they heard, and didn't even expect to be in the UK long..... they were faced with fierce competition from the likes of Tamla Motown, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones , Elvis Presley, Tom Jones and many, many more ... all huge acts or legendary labels who were more than capable of hitting the top of the charts repeatedly ..... it is to the Seekers eternal credit that not only did they become hugely popular, but they gatecrashed charts all over the world in the following years , and very often topped them !
The only group still in existence still with the same members as in 1964, And its easy to see why. All four are hugely talented individuals and thoroughly nice as well.
Thanks for posting this! Always love to see Judith and the guys live.what a great vibe this song has, perfect opening track for the Future Road album. Love every song on The Future Road album, especially The Bush Girl and Guardian Angel and Amazing. .... all of the songs!!!! Been a fan since 1965. THE BEST female vocalist ever, in my opinion !! Tim in Texas. USA.
Judith appears to be completely at home when performing. It is what she was meant to do... to let us hear a little bit of the heavenly choir here on earth.
Its funny ,great music like this makes you love the world, people and yourself. We live to much in our heads on this planet. The true love is that of the moment beyond the mind. Freedom is being here and now and no where else in your mind. That is exactly what we are all looking for. The true holiday, entertainer ,creator and healer.
The ''Future Road'' album had just been released and these beautiful folks were just beaming with pride and justifiably so! It's a bit of a mystery for me why this brilliant piece of work wasn't promoted in North America. The old love affair would have rekindled in an instant and this album clearly had some serious potential for becoming a major blockbuster worldwide. jtk🍁
Darling Murray, I am so thankful that I found you after searching 44 years. I love you now more than ever my love. It feels so good to be around you, and when we are together, the world disappears. I love you! xxxxxx
How many groups have lasted that many years? Not many. The Seekers were still good in 1997. Wow give them a credit for as entertainers for the past 30 years.
Art--goddesses do not exist--she will get older and die like everyone else--whose bodies rot away and turn back to dust. Gen_3:19 the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return to the ground; for out of it were you taken: *for dust you are, and to dust shall you return.*
Wow , how good was that? In my opinion this is amongst their best songs , a terrific tune , brilliantly delivered by a world class Australian act. You did a great job with that, Rich, it's a perfect sound ...... the harmony is absolutely incredible ..... if you close your eyes and listen you could almost be back in the mid sixties again.
Their Rapture songs just keep getting better. Calling me home through the open door of Jesus through His love. I can't wait ya'll! Gonna be this Easter/Passover 2019!
Well no, I don't 100% know for sure, but I can hope! Many prophecy channels are having the same thought! I also think that the scripture above is meant for the Second Coming, and not for the Rapture.
Can someone enlighten me here? I have always loved the Seekers; great songs, Judith's clear, pitch-perfect singing, and the sound of Keith's 12-string on many of their records. I haven't heard this song before, and I am convinced that I can hear Keith's 12-string, yet he appears to be playing a 6-string. I notice at the end that the music appears to carry on after they have stopped playing, so could they have been miming to a recording in which Keith is playing his 12-string?
Nor does it look like the 12-string we can clearly hear is being played, either. Check the description - rich has mixed some better audio into this. Fred

Judith passed 5 August 2022, at 79 years. She is missed!

Still resonates within the heart after all these years….RIP and bless you Judith for giving us all a better life with you in it. I wasn’t alone then….
Pure melody.
Pure joy.
No other group like them.
Their 24-year break up was a huge black hole in music.
They probably needed a break, and some new musical secenery. I think Judith, for one, has said she needed some solo time.
The important thing is, they *did* come back, and they could still keep hitting it out of the park!
Fred
some great stuff that the boys did with some other singers in those 25 years as well.
She still has a dynamic voice and it is unreal....
The Seekers are beautiful after all these years. Still slim, still full of energy, enthusiasm and showmanship and still with that greart harmony. Nine years later, still at least 99 million of us. No replacement, no never.
Judith is in the sky
@@robertoramirez7726 I reckon I must have written that just before that awful day, a month ago yesterday now.
Pure joy. They truly are amazing and Judith is everyone's sweetheart. What a girl! What a Group!
Excellent. What a classy group. No pretenses, just really, really good.
I remember them from my youth, and they're still as good as I remember them!
The Seekers are an amazing group. Judith is a sweetheart an Angel and with a beautiful voice.
Been a fan since the start. Brilliant group singing like they were in their twenties. Nothing they turn out is anything less than a revelation. I watch these clips on UA-cam daily, better than whiskey
Me too Richard .... every single day !
Me too

RIP Judith. best singer ever. Love the Seekers.
AND...they always look like they enjoy themselves so much...love the joy!!!
Outstanding........ and they still have it...... thank the lord for such a wonderful group....
Why do I love The Seekers so much? I'm normally not into this kind of thing at all, but I cannot resist them.
very easy to listen to good music
The Seekers are class, and that's forever.
WOW! Just saw this for the first time. They are like wine that has improved with age. Put them up against any group from the 60's in 1997 and they would put them to shame. I can't get enough of her beautiful, clear voice. What a national treasure for Australia!!!

Every time they recorded a hit they knocked the Beatles or the Rolling Stones off of the top
Fiesty and fresh after all these years...oh and still a heartbreaker my friends.. indeed.
The only group still in existence still with the same members as in 1964, And its easy to see why. All four are hugely talented individuals and thoroughly nice as well.
Yep, you can see the respect and trust they have for each other in every appearance , the sound is phenominal.
Incredible, Amazing, after so many years maintained the high quality of their music

Totally agree with you Tim, Judith is. the best female singer ever
What great musicians they are.
I love her spirit, how she still taps her foot to the rear the same way she always has.
Great song, wonderful group, we need them today!
Judith appears to be completely at home when performing. It is what she was meant to do... to let us hear a little bit of the heavenly choir here on earth.
Judith and the guys look very happy. R.I.P. Judith, you were a special person
Love the way Athol looks at her ..... they had two or three decent female singers during her prolonged absence, but now they KNOW their queen is back!
I noticed that too - almost as if he can't believe she was there.
Lets not forget one of the best 12 string players ever!
Keith Potger. I wouldn't say he's among the best, but he certainly knew what to do with all 12 of those strings!!
Fred
A Classic Beauty and I love the way all their voices blend.
Its funny ,great music like this makes you love the world, people and yourself. We live to much in our heads on this planet. The true love is that of the moment beyond the mind. I think it's neat that they (almost) always stood in the same order when performing -- whether the 60's, 90's, or post-2000.
(The operational definition of homespun artistry - ‘The Seekers’ (extraordinarily elegant & joyful quality for sixty years)!)
I love THE SEEKERS!
BEAUTIFUL SONGS THANK YOU FOR Sharing
My God! What a voice she has ♥
Darling Murray, I am so thankful that I found you after searching 44 years. I love you now more than ever my love. It feels so good to be around you, and when we are together, the world disappears. I love you! xxxxxx
Still slim and beautiful.
One word: lovely!
Thanks: MY Brain needed this.
Wonderful Thank you for Posting This video

This is a nice song
The boys are great. Irreplaceable. She's a goddess...
Art--goddesses do not exist--she will get older and die like everyone else--whose bodies rot away and turn back to dust.
Gen_3:19 the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return to the ground; for out of it were you taken: *for dust you are, and to dust shall you return.*
A wonderful blessing
Atlas King - you took the words out of my mouth. I can't stop listening to them for some reason. I never get tired of their music.
Greeting from N Ireland. Just love this.
lasted and out shone the beatles by miles so genuine every one of them
Not comparable really. One group magnificent performing musicians. The other - amazing creators of music.
Wonderful and interesting group
Handmade music, wonderful............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus, even better, Ms. Judith wrote this great song
Beautiful. Thank you. Divine Blessings. Love not fear. We are all one.

Best song group ever Alex In Denmark
Certainly among the summit peaks - ABBA is another mighty great one, from your neck of the world (Scandinavia).
Fred
Did you get more money after the seekers finish this song their too
Wonderful song, did it make the chart in Australia...

Peter Jeffery At this time they usually sang live to a pre-recorded backing track on their TV appearances, so that's quite possible.
Thank you.
One would rightly assume that the Seekers are the ones who sang the early 60s and 70s spiderman theme song.
ok!
Still the original group in '97?
Why is he chelloist so focused on her and what she is doing. Obsession much but I love the group.
very little is better than this
Doesn't sound like a Double Bass is being played here!
Nor does it look like the 12-string we can clearly hear is being played, either.
Check the description - rich has mixed some better audio into this.
Fred
Never heard a dud from this group.
T
I knew that nose would come back to haunt her as she aged. Still a great voice in '97.
