You're doing your best buddy, I definitely have a savannah monitor that was really wonky when I first got him, probably why the pet store just gave him to me😂 but over the years that I've had him he grew out of quite a bit of the neurological problems, he's definitely still special but we love him all the same.Keep up the good work my friend.
If you watch ants Canada, dingo gave him a baby and you see his advice is that they eat mostly crickets and roaches as babies you could always reach out to chandlers wild life also.
I googled a little about the deformities. I guess the condition is called Polydactyl which meaning extra toes. I didnt find indication of it being harmful, other than that these deformities are much less common in the wild. As to the cause fluctuations of incubation temperature as well as pesticides are suspected. Didnt want to post a link here this should lead to a pdf of a study on this Google: "Prevalence and Details of Polydactylism in the American Alligator, Alligator mississippiensis, in Louisiana, USA"
Good call removing the papyrus plant. It took over, stream looks way bigger and better. Maybe do the same at Slinky’s? Maybe Thomas Holt can advise in some smaller non invasive plants for the pond
Great update, hopefully those caiman will make it through. I know that mortality is high in the wild, the slower (more wonky) animals tend to not make it.
Hey Kenan what is your opinion on the Tom Crutchfield situation. I know that your friends with him. Maybe you can do a video of his place and maybe help him out somehow. Thanks again Kenan and keep up the Great vibes and videos. 😮😢❤❤

Meanwhile in another part of the kamp. “My loyal subjects it gives me king slinky great pleasure to officially light this years kamp Kenan Christmas tree “Yes professor Lego,WHAT do you mean there’s no tree, MARGE HAS EATEN IT!” ( Nostradamus ) “EVERYONE RUN!🎄💯
Wow those are indeed Fred's blood but you said you picked eggs two different times with a day or three in between collecting eggs you have to collect all at one time that way they all hatch at the same time or some will not be formed all the way
Are sunny and shear related? As a kid we lived in farm country and had to keep a bunch of cat. Every once in a while we would have a cat with more toes then it should. (Polidactol) The vet said it was from inbreeding.
I had two Burmese pythons incubate badly and they wound up each with one underdeveloped eye. It wasn’t genetic so they I raised them and they bred perfectly. But when I told people I had two giant one eyed snakes at home, they kept laughing at me. I didn’t know the expression one eyed trouser snake. 😂😂😂
Is it a good idea to have that enclosure in with the black throats? Won't they try to break or weasel their way in because of the smells and movement of the smaller critters? That's like leaving a cage of rabbits in a room full of tigers or stinkys.
Hey Kenan, I was just wondering. The day the Caiman were hatching and there was one that took a jump off the table and slammed into the bucket pretty hard, is that one of the babies that are deformed? I woner because the one that took the headed into the bucket off of the table, the movements the caiman made really made me think it's spine was injured or deformed? I had an iguana years ago that as a baby was startled off a tree branch in it's enclosure and it landed goofy headfirst and impacted it's spine, which made is have spasms somewhat regularly that made it look like it had epilepsy or had a neurological injury to it's spine. The way both of the goofy ones look, it looks very similar to my Iguana, who didn't live as long as he should have, he made it to almost 4 years old but the injury finally paralyzed him to the point that he couldn't walk or even move anywhere, which was when I took him to the vet and sadly had to euthanize him because there was no way to feed him as he had no control of his physical body and it's movements. All the movements he would have were the seizures that looked like epilepsy, but I am 100% sure it was from the nosedive off the branch when he landed snout first onto the mulch at the bottom of the enclosure. It was about a 5 1/2' drop straight down. I caught it happening out of the corner of my eye. It might be a good idea to take them both to Dr. Mike and get him to examine and maybe x-ray them if they can be x rayed because if they have a neurological or physical injury then they may live for sometime, but suffer in doing so. Just to get Dr. Mike's thoughts on them to see what he says? Matt - Toronto, Canada
Hey Kenan, I’ve been watching you since late 2014 and I love all your video’s. So much good info and im always watching videos from you before i get new animals. But I do have a question for you, so I have a Dwarf Caiman, he’s about 5-6 months old and I have 3 painted turtles and one slider. Would that be ok to have them together? The turtles aren’t full sized but probably over half the full grown adult size. I was planning on get some South American species of turtles too so would that be a better idea then having north American species with my caiman
They are not related. Fred had Sonny and Cher actually came from someone else and two of the babies are going to that guy. He covered this in the hatching video.
I don’t think that the wonky caiman’s are going to be OK, but at least you have a few healthy ones. This is the first time, I think she is going to lay more eggs in the future. Also could the turtles be stressing the baby caiman’s out?
Was wondering, do Cayman have the same issues like other animals that are related I know cats and dogs unless they are pure breed ( always inbreeding) but a mutt to a mutt that are brother/sister do have deformities dies this happen in the cayman have this same problems relative deformities? I know with snakes this don’t matter just wondering if it’s the same with crocks, makes you wonder if they are related and this happens. 🤷♀️ Tfs ❤😊
If the one with the messed up feet survives why not call it Fred he is a survivor and a odd one unless it ends up being a girl but i will give it hope that it will live😅😊
100 percent reason why your cayman Is speciel ed is cus the eggs upside-down and they was drowning In the egg I noticed in 1 of your videos when you grabbed the eggs from the nest the egg was flipped around about several times. Maybe I'm wrong tho just my opinion
@bhutch216 from the web itself. Yes, turning an egg over after it has been laid and is in the later stages of incubation can potentially kill the developing embryo inside, especially if done frequently, as it disrupts the positioning of the embryo and can hinder its development, particularly in the final days when it is preparing to hatch. So as you see it reads potentially can kill it and potentially aint a guaranteed thing it probably was flipped around 1 or 2 times and as you read it says especially if done frequently so once or twice may not kill but just cus development problems.

From google it's self. And I don't wanna hear it's not a lizard still a egg and same info involves yes it can also kill the embryo I'm aware but as it reads here 👇 Yes, turning an egg over after it has been laid and is in the later stages of incubation can potentially kill the developing embryo inside, especially if done frequently, as it disrupts the positioning of the embryo and can hinder its development, particularly in the final days when it is preparing to hatch. Not blaming kenny could of been a mistake but that's what I feel happened. And also reads if done frequently it can kill which it wasn't was probably done just enough to cause deformities.
I find it strange that even a man like you would try to keep animals with deformities that wouldn't make it in the wild. They would have already been food for something else provided much-needed nutrients to someone in the ecosystem. They look like Slinky food to me

This is very on brand for kenan, he loves every animal he has
If this was nature they’d be food, yes. The thing about keeping animals as pets though? We can give some extra support to the animals that need it. A vet could probably remove the extra toes if they continue to impact quality of life as the babies grow.
For those of us who watch Wolfe's World...we may already have a hint at one of the new animals haha
We all do it got brought up afew vids back on this channel 😊

5:36 you should put some gravel or sand on the bottom so the Cayman have some type of traction due to their mobility issues.
They could eat it and get impacted. Not when they are this young.
@@melissaskinner4501Weird argument. Do they randomly eat sand in the wild

Stick some crickets in there with the babies, they might go for them aswell as thr fish

shouldnt the heat spot be a bit warmer and bigger for little ones?
It's bigger than it looks in the video, but I am always looking for ways to make the enclosures better!

Is the little turtle / caiman pool heated? What temperature do you shoot for in that entire room?
There are heat lamps. That small amount of water will easily mountain 75 degrees.

Turtles only stress out fish and other turtles. Lol
@ young crocodilians are very vulnerable to stress. Even some croc farm handbooks I read say how vulnerable they are this time.
Blud's gonna raise caiman mutants 💀
Are you not worried about the nitrite levels spiking with so much waste in such little water?
It gets drained and water quality isn’t going to affect the turtles.
