Love this bittersweet video Kenan! Muhlenburgii is an all time favorite. Had the pleasure of recording a NC population 30+ years ago. If Charlie is moving to NC, replicating his wonderful Clemmys guttata enclosure is not allowed. Backwards lawmakers ban owning native species, with no allowance/permitting for CB specimens.
Yes. I will not be breaking any laws. The guttata group has been placed with a friend here in Florida and the caramel or chocolate line is with a friend in California.
Thanks for the shout out, Charlie! Great stuff! Just to help with some of the mccordi convo, that species was named FOR Bill McCord, but not BY him. They have not been found in the wild since 2010, but their range in China is known. - Anthony
Good luck with your move, Charlie. I hope all your animals make it to their new home safe and sound. Thank you for allowing us through Kenan into your man cave and letting us see your beautiful animals.
It’s nice to see people coming together to talk about turtles & tortoise, we need more people to take note. Bog turtles oh my goodness I don’t want one. I want at least four ! Thanks for sharing Kenan 💯
My favorite subject is evolution. And in particular, convergent evolution. I loved hearing you talk about it with those gorgeous box turtles. I could nerd out all day with you. 🐢🐢❤️
The oldest known fossil of a North American box turtle is around 15 million years old and was found in Nebraska. These fossils resemble the aquatic species T. coahuila, which suggests that the common ancestor of box turtles was also aquatic
I found a Bog Turtle once off the NY State Thruway near New Paltz in 1982 at the Greater Plutarch Woods and Wetlands Area. It was a real bucket list. I was 19 years old. The only sighting of one ever for me
Really going to miss Kenan’s lil visits to see Charlie but im sure it won’t be the last time 🤗 Wishing Charlie the very best in his new home and getting settled with all of his shell babies. Great to see Al come along and see some amazing turtles. A belated happy thanksgiving to you all 🤗🐢🤗
Hi Kenan Thanks for sharing your trip to Moorecroft's. You are like a turtle keek. So many beautiful species to see. I liked the lizard with the red eyes. Red dragon skink? Cindy
The one Guy looks like he could be Kenans brother. Great video like always Kenan. I doubt you will read this, but you and your wife had me laughing on the last video with the caiman babies. I love how Sofias friend comes over and mom and dad start making crocodile sounds while in your biking outfit hahaha. Had me laughing. Something my dad would do to embarrass me infront of my friends.
Re: Red-eyed Crocodile Skinks ...ya gotta go see Dayyan Saylany's stuff on most of the internet under his 'other' name, Reptiliatus. He's been raising both Red-eyed and White-eyed Crocodile skinks. He also keeps the Black-breasted Leaf turtles! He'll be raising them soon, I'm sure.
How can people give this man a hard time on social media? Whats wrong with humans??!! Amazing to see the tank that Serpa put up for him ages ago, and it still looks like its just set up. Respect!!! This man loves animals!
Hey kenan quick note about coura mccordi it actually wasn’t found and named by bill mccord it was described in 1988 by Carl Ernst in a Chinese wet market and it wasn’t until 2007 that they described them in the wild in southern China but interesting fact about the name bill mccord could not have been the one to find it and describe it cause it’s named after himself and according to the laws of taxonomy you are not allowed to name any species that you describe after yourself you have to name it after someone else so he couldn’t have been the one to describe it
Would love to see his collection one day but understand why these people don’t do tours! People stealing turtles! And of course it’s for the Asian market (who have caused the animal to become near extinct in the first place b/c they have been catching and eating them all) where they have now declared them this highly valuable commodity but not b/c of its beauty, it’s b/c they are going to kill it b/c of their down ideas about its body parts being good medicine or more commonly that it is a good aphrodisiac! Just buy the little blue pill and let the turtles live!!
Great analysis, thank you! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
I think but not sure, I live across from a pond, and it has alot of turtles living in it. Probably have some of the bog turtles in it. I live in Pennsylvania

@@charlie_moorcroft Your collection has truly been an inspiration for years. Happy in assisting you setting up new enclosures Charlie. Welcome to NC!
The Stony Brook Lab on Long Island has a breeding colony of Bog turtles. I’ve seen new hatchlings out there several years ago.
I love that first turtle so unique and he doesn’t move like a normal turtle entertaining to watch
I absolutely love black breasted leaf turtles! They are so active. I love that he showed them first 😊

Thanks Anthony 😊
This guy is awesome, helping to save a species that many people would be satisfied just to eat or use in the trade market.
Thank you, Charlie, for everything you have done.❤
Good luck with your move, Charlie. I hope all your animals make it to their new home safe and sound. Thank you for allowing us through Kenan into your man cave and letting us see your beautiful animals.

Yippeeeeee!!!
If you ever get leaf turtles, you should get Tanner to build you an enclosure.
Tanner has one called Joshua. I hope he videos the enclosure build soon.
Kenan wash your hands then rest them on the floor! Lol! 26:20
His setup makes my OCD happy
