Yes definitely a great statue. It’s awesome. Regarding the time when the witch king had flames on his sword was when he faced Gandalf with Pippin when it seemed all hope has faded. That’s when you hear the horns of Gondor come in and flees from Gandalf and to go see what’s going on at the battle of Pellenor fields. Awesome video bud. Cheers
hey man thanks! Yeah I actually had added a note in the description about this. I was referring to when he is welding the mace vs Eowyn. I think him having a flaming sword of a fell beast makes sense but not so much when he is dual wielding. Thanks for commenting dude! By the way did you ever get your UC swords?
ahh yeah I meant to say he doesn't have the flame sword while also wielding the Mace. I've never been a big fan of "statue" fire. Thanks for commenting dude :D
I have the Gandalf the White figure of fandom coming in tomorrow! Considering this figure line is Weta, these are gems! I pre-ordered Weathertop Strider. Awesome review as always!
Thanks Evan! Yeah I think these are the best "statues for the price" you can get from Weta. I'm hoping the Aragorn ships soon, it was suppose to be Q1 2023.
Thinking of buying a couple of these pvc statue's , definately more value compared to the small mini's that are now 120 .... I just hate the bases on these, it looks so cheap. I'm thinking what is possible to mod the bases
Rally funny/good editing, btw its kinda hard seeing that the witch king you unboxed inn this video was plastic and i liked the witch king you unboxed on this vid had a better pose than the 2 others, really good video keep on the good work👍👍👍👍👍
hey Olav yeah it's really hard to see its different, makes it worth the $ in my opinion. By the way I really appreciate your support since the early days of my channel, it definitely doesn't go unnoticed 😄
Thanks John, I haven't done it personally but I saw some one who did. They aren't meant to be removed but apparently you can sort of "break it" and then redo the top of the base.
I was referring when he was also wielding the mace. He has the flame sword when on the Nazgul. I agree this is maybe 1 of the best size to price items from Weta! Thanks for commenting
hey thank you, I unfortunately didn't get it directly from Asmus, it was from a friend and it was used so that's why I didn't unbox/review it.... It has a big scratch on it's back. I do think it's a great little figure! not 1/6 scale obviously but a good size... similar to the Weta Miniatures. If you're looking for a mini Lurtz I do recommend it though. Thanks for commenting!
A statue line i discovered not long ago that fits my wallet and shelf space is Iron Studios 1/10 scale, do you have their witch king?, if its been released.
Hey... I am interested though have refrained from ordering it because I lack the space to put it and already have quite a few Gandalfs. I have 2 other miniature statues of Gandalf as well as the Asmus 1/6 scale... and have also pre-ordered the QueenStudios Gandalf... so I will already have 4 Gandalfs :D I did however pre-order the Lurtz and Aragorn Fandom pieces.
yeah Black Friday is gonna be big this year I would imagine. I don't think I would have purchased the 1/6 scale Ringwraith for it's new price... it was already pretty high IMO.
This pvc "statue" is a HUGE disappointment. The "flames" looks more like orange gatorade - NOTHING like the photo on their website. I have the LED Balrog bust & his mane looks great - just like the website pics, even without the LEDs. I guess they went with a (much) cheaper manufacture for this one.

Now this one looks great
I have this 1 on preorder also, cant wait till i get it, it looks awesome and great review ;)
thanks for commenting!
The flaming sword was from the extended edition but i also agree that the fire looks bad. It's probably the only thing keeping me from getting this

Mine showed up and he is glorious
compared to other statue and weta prices it def feels like a steal!
I just discovered the channel and I subscribed immediately
Thank you I appreciate it 😁

Can't you remove those fire pieces? Or, if they come off without breaking, do they leave holes in the base?
Very cool might order one myself for the desk
thank you for reviewing this.
Thanks for commenting 🙂
I also have the problem with the painting on the base but not something i see without shining an light on it👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
yeah it's sort of hard to see, I keep it in low light :D
Very nice statue

hi love the video just wondered can the flames on base be removed ?
Thanks John, I haven't done it personally but I saw some one who did. They aren't meant to be removed but apparently you can sort of "break it" and then redo the top of the base.
he did have a flame sward in the extended cut of the film. it looks quite cool.

Pretty cool! love LOTR...
Thanks for commenting 🙂
Hello, love you content hope to see more lotr in the future
Do you think is worth getting this for 105$ ? shipped included
Woah The price hike is crazy
Good thing i got my grey pilgrim just in time.. it’s coming this week
Yeah it's very surprising... I knew they were going up but I thought maybe $20 or so? maybe that's a bit ignorant but I wasn't expecting $50.
What about a Review of that asmus Lurtz? Nice video

Hey there, never got into Iron Studios I do like the line, particularly their fellbeast
Hello can you please tell me if this statue seems really durable since it is made with PVC?
yes I think so, perhaps even more than a polystone statue because it has a "give" and can bend instead of directly break.
I understand you said that it was light enough to spin but does the body feel very light, hollow and cheap? Is it sturdy? Thanks I’m advance.
I think it's pretty sturdy, it has a good amount of weight even though it can spin. I think the base might be hollow.
@@thecyberhobbit thanks
Nice review! Thank you. Also interested in Fandom Gandalf?

@@thecyberhobbit OK, that's something😁👍
Damn forgot about the 28th. At these prices I'll have to hold out till Black Friday.
yeah Black Friday is gonna be big this year I would imagine. I don't think I would have purchased the 1/6 scale Ringwraith for it's new price... it was already pretty high IMO.
I'd definitely buy it if I could remove all the fire from the base.
But I can't, so pass.
And that's a damn shame.
it's my least favorite part for sure... takes it from a statue to more of a toy feel.
@@thecyberhobbit when I saw that the flame didn't come pre-attached to the sword I got excited... Then I remembered they're on the base too 🙄
