I went to see this show when I was really young and this was the only song I knew, other than popular and defying gravity. I have a a sweet fondness for this song and feels nostalgic.
I may be wrong as it was years ago but Bill Brohn told me the section at 7:43 (in the single stave) quotes from "You're out of the woods" from the original Wizard of OZ.
