Boedy, I'm not sure how many of the comments you're able to read, but I've heard this sound alot in honda and Rotax hotsaws. Mostly when the pipe itself isn't warm enough. I'd be willing to bet you can get that thing to run much better in the wood like you mentioned. One thing you may have to look at is how the pipe turns sharply. I'm no guru on pipes, but if it can't lean out on the low end, the sharp turn or adapter from the exhaust port may be the culprit. Theres a possibility one or both is holding/returning too much fuel during the return resonance
try to see if at high revs it spits fuel from the carburetor, the scooters are almost all with reeds on the intake. with this type of exhaust, when the gases come out, they also suck in new mixture into the exhaust, and then send it back inside.
A bad coil with make it bounce like a rev limiter im a small engine mechanic and its a common issue, I dont exactly see that pipe out doing the carb when you have such a wide range of adjustment with the screws but thats just my first thought
Looks fantastic👍🏻 love modifying parts for unintended uses!
Looks really good
I agree
Nice work man! Looks great.
As far as a support you might could go from the rear bar but up to the pipe with some flat stock.
Looks like a bought one the way it follows the lines of the saw and you sure get on with it and smash out your projects.
That's some nice fitment Boedy. Good job.
Good job sawrus
I kinda want to see that expansion tube exhaust manifold covered in aspestos heat wrap like a racecar engine setup
Perfect job! A little tweaking it will be amazing
Looks good. Can't wait to see it run with the pipe and if it makes a big difference I'm going to have to order me one of those pipes

Those welds are looking great
I think it looks and sounds amazing bro
Has a great sound
Sounds like there is a wire shorting out but its hard to tell. Good job. Hope it works out as planned. Cheers
Can't wait to see it cut! Should be interesting

👍🆙BigGuy
Sounds like a bad coil I would swap the coil before getting a new carb
