- There have been requests for Guatemalan guerrilla songs for a while, and this is still the only one I can find. However, I was inspired to make this video after watching "Top 10 US-Backed Atrocities and Authoritarian Regimes" by Libertarian Socialist Rants. Great video about an unfortunate history.

So many people say this was a civil war this and civil war that but what people forget is that many of our families express that this wasn’t just a civil war but a genocide against the indigenous population of Guatemala. Even till this day many are still healing and fighting against the oppression and erasure of the people and culture. Always indigenous and always proud I hope we always remain resilient and carry the pride of our indigeneity for what our parents and family were shamed and even killed for.
