Just these few tips should be a game changer for anyone that hasn't critically looked at their own double lift in a while. When I first started out I "developed" a movement EXACTLY like yours (it just comes very naturally) with that thumb push off. I was told by the "professionals" to never do that as my audience would see right through it. Glad to know I am not crazy after all!
Great tips Sean. Many thanks. Quick question, when are the other Carey Session episodes being released … or did I miss them? The first one was awesome 🤩
Practice with a regular deck of bicycle cards since that’s 90% of the decks you will run into. Expensive decks don’t handle significantly better than these anyway. The more normal the deck looks the less suspicious as well, anything fancy makes it look like you’re being tricky
Sorry guys, I had to re-upload this video due to a copyright strike.
Nice tutorial. This is a foundational technique in many tricks. This video is very clear and concise. Thanks for this well made demonstration.

Hi, so you don´t use the pinky break?
I always use the Pinky Count to get me a break and like this I can do the Turnover very fair and slowly😁
I do the snap double lift. Any tips for that?
We learn to practice. Practice to learn. Perfect what we've learned. Then REHEARSE IT DAILY!
Every time i see someone not just drop the card and carry it all the way down, it makes me angry.
