Great job. I went fishing for Kings for my first time last year 7/21/17 out of Muskegon,MI Only landed 3 of 9 Kings. Did not have right kind of net lost 6 monsters at the boat. The 3 landed were 15,17,20 lbs landed 8 lb lake trout 8 lb coho & 8 lb steelhead. Only fished 6:15 to 9:15 PM. Just bought a bigger net today from Detroit Ultimate fishing show.
Looks fun. I forgot what big kings look like. We are only catching kobes on the west side (WI). Sigh. You guys got all the cold water this year. Keep the videos coming. Love it!!
The Consummate Sportsman The Coho run was pretty good. Got in to some decent kings late June, early July. Even the rainbows are scarce. Everybody is fishing for Lakers (kobes). Even the charters.
We were 1 for 2 last night. Off Onekama ,124 lots of fish and bait. Just got done with salmon dinner and I get to watch some big pigs getting pulled in, sweet. Fish on have fun
Which boat and size? I've the Lund Rebel SS 16.5 with Merc 50 4S and considering taking on bigger water on ideal conditions days IE S SE winds under 10. Ontario. And then only a few 100s yards off shore. Limit it to NY Finger Lakes so far. Syracuse NY
how do they taste compared to AK saltwater king salmon, have you eaten both ? do you get white meat ones like we do up here in AK ? Sucks we can only troll 1 rod per person up here, what’s water temp ? noticed no life jackets, must be warm.
hey , can you guys give me some tips on salmon fishing from the prier? what bait to use? what depth to fish at? i see guys there reeling em in one after another... but then again they have 6-7 poles in the water which i think is illegal..
Would be nice to know what port you're fishing out of, and what's the date. Also would be interesting to know what you're using, how deep, etc. A picture of your total catch would be a nice touch. Could have been a much better video.
How fast do you guys usually troll on the lakes? Here in WA we troll around 2.5-3.0mph for kings and 3.0-3.5 for silvers. I was just wondering how it compares to our area.
For their size they dont really go anywhere. 20 pound king salmon 2 minute fight, 20 pound king mackerel 300 yard run haha. Salmon is good eating though.
I just want to say thank you for your work on your videos.. I not only enjoy them but they help me get through the winter months.
Nice to see you posting again.

+James Hall Pretty slow season on your side of the pond?
The Consummate Sportsman The Coho run was pretty good. Got in to some decent kings late June, early July. Even the rainbows are scarce. Everybody is fishing for Lakers (kobes). Even the charters.
just got back from our salmon trip in Alaska, had a blast and came back with a ton of fish. Coho and a few pinks.
+Adam Weber Good eating! Nice work.
You need to start making videos again!
I'll be up there in Frankfort in 2 weeks, Can't Wait!!
Nice vids I'm a big fan....
Maybe some single action reels ? For the fun?
Holy smokes those some big fish. Well done.
*returns to fly fishing for 6" trout in a small stream*
+MrRojoneck Haha. Thank you!
Great to see video from you again, you were AWOL.
Wondering how long your leads are on your dipseys? I think I saw snubbers and then a long lead??
+Eric Chou Good to be back :)
My dipsy lead is around 10' total, from diver to fly including the snubber.
where the hell have you been!!!
Love that you're posting your amazing videos again 👍🏽 awesome stuff! Keep it up! Where'd you get your hat from btw?
+Henry Lopes Thanks! The hat came from fishon energy co. You can find them on the web!
We were 1 for 2 last night. Off Onekama ,124 lots of fish and bait. Just got done with salmon dinner and I get to watch some big pigs getting pulled in, sweet. Fish on have fun
+Fish'n Shack Nice work sir!
Awesome shit. Gonna hit the rivers when they start moving in?
+Hez Phillips Count on it. :)
Holy shit you're still alive! I thought you gave up fishing. Where's Rick and the yellow Lab?
707AR15 I'm still around. So is Ric! :)

How did you get the high shot on cam? I'm looking to do that on my boat.
Give the people what they want!! Love it.
flyboiii28 Hahaha!

Do some more walleye vids too brotherman!
Jake Eads Noted! :)
Gonna have to do a vid on cooking up salmon!
+Ken T Already done. Check my channel to see it!
Nice to see you putting up videos again. How was your 2016 deer season?
+Mike DelVecchio It went ok. I was able to take a 2 1/2 year old 8 point with my bow. 👍🏼
Lake Michigan is producing Tunas. Looks like the future might hold many more screamin' lines and smokin' reels.
+Salmax Kayak I sure do hope so, Jason!

Blue water rod holder? How do you like them? Look nice for the divers. Great video
+Andrew Carver Yes, sir. Good eye! I think they're great. Thanks for checking out my video.
Awesome video

i see guys there reeling em in one after another... but then again they have 6-7 poles in the water which i think is illegal..
What kind of boat is that?I have been looking at deep v side consoles and that's pretty nice.
Another great trip, good job.GO GREEN 11 days til greatness.
+Steven Tetreault Can hardly wait!!
Awesome to see Uploads!!! Just ordered a lund myself!! What rod holders and rigging do you have or are they custom?
TheHerb All rigging boat rigging was done myself. The rod holders are Blue Water Fishing Products. I've got 5 per side.
Thanks Thats a beautiful rig man!!
What rod do you you for your wire dipsy? That seemed to hammer the kings.
Good stuff. Were you jigging this past Saturday and had a guy in a kayak come by?
+Jeff Trek No, sir. I took that night off from fishin.
How long is the boat in this video
Wow your dipsy's are much more productive than your riggers eh? Awesome fish man!
+bgodin23 Sometimes that wire line drives them wild!
Those fish dont seem to put up much of a fight once in the boat. How deep are they sitting in the water column?
+Tim Yef In this video they were mostly around 40-60' down.
Any river king vids coming soon?
Colton Franke Probably ;)
I notice multiply different reels. Which line counter do you like the best in your setup
Shimano Tekota, hands down!
The big lake out of Muskegon has been on fire this year, 20+ is not uncommon at all with a few 30s and a 42 so far.
Brendan Beishuizen It's been a wild season in the northern reaches as well. Did you see the other video I recently uploaded?
Would be nice to know what port you're fishing out of, and what's the date. Also would be interesting to know what you're using, how deep, etc. A picture of your total catch would be a nice touch. Could have been a much better video.
I see you have Big Jon downriggers, but what rod holders are you using?
+nogoodnametochoose Those are made by Blue Water Fishing Products
Thanks, Have you used Trackstech products? Looks to be similar stuff.
nogoodnametochoose I haven't used them, no. The blue water design is pretty slick.
why such a long lead between your diver and flasher?
+Joseph Juane It seems to work better for me.
What lake is this?
A little cramped on deck
Things got a little frisky when the lights went out
+Uncut Angling Woooooweeeeee
The Consummate Sportsman - happy to see you're still making videos, you had us worried
Same.
lol.
What area are you fishing? Superior or Michigan?
+Lance V MI
Anyone who knows the area can tell where hes at by looking at the bluff formation. :) Nothing beats Northern Michigan woods, waters, and streams.
Great video. Get the smoker and the borax ready.
+Edward Sabo You got that right! Thank you.
Love to hear the clickers go.
I don't anytime anybody is fishing with me they better have that damn clicker off. It's annoying as hell for me.
man I really enjoy your videos and a well rounded fellow.. hit me up let hunt or fish or trap..
+Nick Heyd Appreciate that!
The Consummate Sportsman I'm on southwest side. Kalamazoo. I do it all..
How fast do you guys usually troll on the lakes? Here in WA we troll around 2.5-3.0mph for kings and 3.0-3.5 for silvers. I was just wondering how it compares to our area.
MLGxTSG Exactly the same here!
For their size they dont really go anywhere. 20 pound king salmon 2 minute fight, 20 pound king mackerel 300 yard run haha. Salmon is good eating though.
Where you trolling "j plugs"?
+Explicit 12 A few :)
The Consummate Sportsman Were going to buoy 10 this weekend would you be able to explain how you run them?
I like them off a long line like copper or leadcore myself.
The Consummate Sportsman thank you for the info :)
THE RICK
2 guys...6 rods?
+1tabascosauce Not sure what you're asking? Perfectly legal in MI waters if that's your point...?
