That was a really good video and motivated me with my 1860 Munich save, where i want to play a good gegenpress tactic. The thing is that i also manage the training schedules, which helps me to play the Gegenpress better. I also manage the training schedules from my 2nd team and my under 19 team. I want to implement my Gegenpress philosophy in this and i also succeed to come from the 3rd league to the 2 Bundesliga. It makes much more fun for me to give the club an identity how they play. So i impress with the gegenpress :D

Interesting video and this is something that is bothering me lately. I am in the state where I cannot find a fun save to start. My favorite team (Ajax) is too dominant already (except this year IRL) and the most fun league (PL) has so many games and the season takes really long. I took Wrexham to the PL but never bothered to continue because of the 60 games a season. Every league has some negative aspect, be is silly foreigner rules (Italy) or the stupid B-team setup (Spain). I wish I had the stamina for a 20+ year challenge like with Vaduz, San Marino etc. But I get burned out very quickly on a save, to the point I do not even start any anymore. I agree on every FM save being a story and sometimes you fall "in love" with a signing, regen or the team in general and you are on cloud nine. So maybe soon I will be able to write a new story :)
Thanks for sharing your story my friend! I think we've all been in the spot where you're in right now. From reading your comment, I get the feeling that playing and winning games is not the aspect of FM that's gonna get you excited (or at least for right now). This would be a perfect moment to try and think of a personal conflict to base a save around! Think about what you enjoy most about the sport or FM itself, and try and brainstorm some conflicts with those interests. One of those conflicts just might spark a new and exciting save for you!
Nice video man, often feel this way and recently realised exactly this. I need to create a story for the save in my mind.
Story is really everything for long term enjoyment of this amazing game!
I got bored when I managed Man Utd in FM21(I was using a potato laptop) and I started to manage my hometown club in Malaysia (Sabah FC) and I never managed any club from Malaysian football league before. Suddenly I felt like I was new to fm, because of the new challenges and I tried to create my own story with this club and I started to feel excited again to play but shit happened and my laptop can't turn on anymore.
Great to hear that there's some viewers from Malaysia! I love to see that you had that moment of finding excitement in FM again, and what a great example of finding a personal conflict to base your save around! I'm very sorry to hear about your laptop, is it something that can be fixed?
@@coachroan no. the laptop is useless now, I can't turn it on anymore. I think my save is gone but I for sure, I will start a new save if I afford to buy another laptop.

I started a save with the objective to become Barcelona manager, I was named Leeds manager and I acheived great things with them multiple PL championships and Carabao cup couple of Champions league and FA cup and my eyes always on Barca, the thing is they never achieved any thing spectacular, always been 2nd to Madrid in the domestic league, never smelled the semi finals in the champions league the best the could do was one quarter final and that's it, the problem is we are in year 2029 and they still having Xavi as a manger Lol, they could grab 4 Spanish Cups but I was expecting this to be not enough for a club as Barcelona , so I was sick of waiting, 2 seasons ago Ancelotti signed for Man city after Pep being sacked, Madrid Approached me and I ended up signing for them with Pep taking my place as Leeds new manager with a godlike squad , Xavi is still Barcelona Coach but he never won against me once, I think I have played Barca for 9 times I always hammered them Lol Even the cup they used to win regularly they not sniffing it anymore Lol And it's still going !
What an amazing example of creating a story in FM, thank you for sharing! Is the goal still to become Barca manager, or are you now intent on destroying them every season?
@@coachroan I don’t think I’ll have a chance to manage Barca and quite frankly my interest in them have diminished however I’ve set a goal to get them to fire Xavi, in my save they are having a very decent squad probably with another capable manager they can come back into the European scene and after that I’m thinking to moving to Milan and try to do something with them and maybe being the old glory Milan days, If not then probably taking chelsea as they are very very bad in my save, they are regularly finishing between 6th and 10th, that for the short and mid term goals and maybe in the far future if Barca approach me I’ll consider it
@@ammoune86 I always find that Barca have a lot of love for Xavi in game, so I wonder how long it will take for them to fire him. Great to hear that you have both short and long term goals, that's exactly what'll keep you engaged in FM!

Even the most seasoned FM players can struggle with finding motivation to play the game from time to time. Hopefully this video can help you out when you hit another wall!
Jus un time I load the game up everyday and jus close it cause it's not hooking me no more but will give this a chance
