Team talk at halftime also works to boost players morale. If trailing a goal down, choose unhappy option. If 0-0, criticize or asking them to score a goal. if leading 1 goal, ask them not to be complacent. If leading 2 goals or more, praise them. Hope this helps.
I was beating Notts Forrest 1-0 at half time and said dont get complacent as you suggested. 2 players reacted badly and I lost 3-1 to a 19th place team. Thanks for nothing. That was my first loss of the season as well you are a melt.
Bro I was so nervous, 6th season with Coventry and my first UEFA cup final - and I watched your video cos I really didn't wannt fuck this up, although the only thing I really did was look at Hoffenheim who I played (3rd in Bundesliga) and looked at their match schedules, to see who they lost against, and what formations those teams were playing, and I noticed most of it was central play teams like 4-1-2-1-2, went down 1-0 immediately, and switched to playing through the centre and came back to win 2-1 Coventry legend in the making lol
Been watching your content. Love it. I’m kicking off a save and trying to follow all your advice as an unemployed manager with no experience or badges 😅
If it is a club under your reputation, bid a bit too low for every important player so they get angry because they want to go to your club. I don't do this though since I feel like it is cheating.
I am managing Brighton too! 2nd season currently. Invested 300 million in the last window and went all in for this season and have a very good squad, potentially Top 4 level. Yet i’m 11th and it’s the first of January! What do i do? I just can’t win although i started the season beasted winning every match! How do i solve this? I keep changing tactics and nothing clicks&works
Constantly changing tactics (assuming these are significant changes) might actually work against you, as your player's can't develop any familiarity with any of those tactics. To give you some more specific advice, I'd need some more information. What specifically is going wrong now? Not scoring enough? Conceding too many? Feel free as well to send your current team and tactics too me, so I can give you more suggestions for your specific situation!
@@coachroani concede alot. Last 11 games i’ve conceded 21 goals. And some games i CANNOT score no matter what. I use a 4-3-3 2DM formation. Slightly lower tempo Higher Defensive line&High Press Slightly more often Trigger Press Counter-Press when possesion has been lost Counter when possesion has been won Distribute to Centre-backs I use 2 WB on support. 1 NCB on defend. 1 BPD on cover. 1 HB and 1 Segundo Volante on Attack. 1 AP on attack. 2 IW on Attack. 1 AF. I invested 400 million this season. Have players like Romeo Lavia, Alex Scott, Mac Allister, Caicedo, Donny Van De Beek, Mitrovic, Enes Unal, Patterson, Fabiano Parisi, Bowen, Mudryk, Nicolas Gonzalez, Mitoma. I HAVE TONS OF TALENTS IN DEVELOPMENT WHO ARE ON LOAN. Also i have a 16 yr old regen wonderkid whom i got in my Youth Intake. I bought Vitor Roque who comes next season and have loads&loads of 5 star potential talents. About 10-12.
@@kosovoisalbania1940 The first thing I'd say is that you're doing a great job of building your team! The names you mentioned are very good players for both right now as well as the future! Regarding your tactic: The major thing I'd say is that once you're attacking, you basically have no midfield. You're half back will drop in between the center backs, and both your segundo volante and your AP will look to join the attack, leaving basically no midfield line to support the attack and no rest defence for when you lose the ball. I would suggest changing your Half back to something like a standard DM or a BWM, and changing either your segundo volante or your AP to support to bolster your midfield line. You also really don't need a NCB at this level, as they'll just boot the ball up the field whenever they get even a slight bit of pressure, hampering your possession. Players at this level are fine to play on at least CB Defend
@@coachroan Thanks alot for the advice! Will definitely try this! For the NCB i play Demiral, because his stats with the ball are horrendous. What do i play him in?
@@kosovoisalbania1940 I'd advice you to play Demiral as CD - Defend. If you want, you can adjust his player instruction to pass it shorter, dribble less or take less risks to hide his horrendous ball control
Losing to a smaller team can be tough. It's important to remember that it can happen, just look at Man City losing to Southampton in the League Cup this season. I would advice not overreacting based on just on poor result. Try to look at what happened tactically, and what you can learn from it. Other than that, it's onto the next match!

@@Mkhalaf17 they probably have low determination.
Half time team talks are game changers, multiple times I’ve come from up to 3 goals down to turn the game around
Got a 2nd leg semifinal with City at the Etihad after drawing 3-3 at home.
Time to pull a Real Madrid

5 - 2 - 1 what a legendary tactic

it was a cool and informative video! :D thanks!

Thank you, im new to the games and this is very helpful, straight to the point 🤝
It's my absolute pleasure, I'm very happy to hear that the video has been able to help you out!
Helpful.
How do you get a rating of 10 at trainings ?
Great editing
Thanks man, glad you liked it!
Did the friendly, got my left winger with broken ribs and the right winger with broken ankle, just my luck
Hi Coach ! Great video. How about just changing the mentality when you're winning ?
Yeah that's a solid way to manage matches! Smaller, less drastic changes like only changing mentality are the way to go in my opinion

Do the "mind games" thing really work or is it just role play? :d
While not making a huge impact, it will give you a slight edge, which just might make the difference!
sometimes, your player can react well to the mind games. Opposition players too. They will work hard to demolish you.
Frankly FM cheats in cup finals. You will lose 7 out of 10 finals you play no matter how good morale or form
coach do you have a video explaining opposition tactics ?
Not at the moment, but that's definitely something that I can put on the potential video ideas list!
