I can't believe this is over D: This was such a great show/story/journey guys T.T The characters were incredible and well built, the main story was heartbreaking, the soundtrack is perfect...I'll never forget this show, these were totally happy tears at the end there XD

@@liljake8504 well keep in mind, the original animes latter half wasn't following the manga. At the time, the anime was ahead of the manga so the studio decided to create their own ending rather than wait for the manga to end, hence why we got what we got. FMA Brotherhood is basically from beginning to end following the manga

I don't get why some people complain about the happy ending. I like happy endings in general, but the reason I love this one is because it feels EARNED. You can't say that they didn't work insanely hard for it, or that it was pure luck that they managed it. Every step of the way feels right. And Ed's grin as the last image? Shows the entire journey was worth it. Watching this show was worth it.
Funny how, in the end, both Ed and Al are using the same style of clothes as Hohenheim
But Al's color scheme matches Trisha's clothing color scheme
And here we have what I consider to be the most satisfying end to an anime series ever. This ending does not get old no matter how many times I watch it, and to see the two of you experience the same happiness I experience every time I watch this series again makes me that much happier. So many tears of sadness shed, all lead up to an episode with tears of joy. :)
You guys came full circle for me. I first found you when I was looking for more FMA:B reactions and now you're done. That said I'll stay subscribed and I can't wait to see what you're going to watch next. :)

FMA is a really special show for me, is my favorite anime. I watched the 2003 version when I was a teenager and I loved it (and it will always have a special place in my heart), but when I saw Brotherhood I fell absolutely in love with the storytelling, the characters and the attention to details. Every aspect of the show is just perfect, like you said on this video. It's a masterpiece. But there is also a personal reason why I love and relate so much to this show... My mom died of cancer 8 yrs ago, I was very close to her and all I wanted in the world was to see her one more time (if this world had alchemy I would've made the same mistake the Elric brothers did). Also, the day the Elrics burned their house was october 3rd of 1911 (or 3.10.11)... my mom died on october 3rd of 2011, so there's another coincidence... So the story of Ed and Al hits pretty close and hard. I love the message(s) of this show. I try to live with the philosophy of the show in mind, but sometimes it's been very hard to move forward or even move at all... but no matter what, seeing this show or watching people watch this show always makes me happy, at least for a little while... so thank you, again :)

I'm so sorry about your mother ): I can see how you could relate to Ed and Al's story n.n I agree that this show presented us with very "real" characters whose emotions and journey we're so realistic D: it goes to show the author did an incredible job in all aspects of her story!

Again, this is my favorite anime ever (Well, the Bakemonogatari series - Which I would also love to see you react to - is up there with it but still it's on the top!) and I'm always happy when someone else enjoying as much as I do!
I've NEVER seen an ending as good as FMAB. I just had to sit in silence for half an hour after finishing. I've been looking forward to you two seeing this final part every since the start. :)

I absolutely love this anime. For me it's tied at No. 1 with Dragonball for different reasons. The thing that really puts it over is the soundtrack, it's so amazing. I go on long trips and just put that. Ed and Al are amazing characters. This show wouldn't have been as good as it is without them. I'd recommend if you ever re watch it do it in English, it's just as good if not better. You'll love it again.

Great reaction! If you want something else to react... Slayers is a really awesome and funny anime. It's long and from the 90s-2k. Then there is Karneval from the 2010s also amazing and this one is short.
@MartaAyanami yeah. Slayers NEXT is freaking fantastic. But you have to watch Slayers first. Even the song conveys more a mixture between fantasy adventure and comedy!
Its funny Naruto was always my number 1 favorite anime but in recent years of rewatching FMAB I'm gonna have to put it at #1and Naruto at #2. I respect you keeping Naruto at #1 though. Love your reactions guys.

Although Naruto is my favorite as well I mean I am a Naruto and Boruto Universe Fanatic me and my friends have a cult following of everything Naruto.......BUT If I let my biased glasses aside for a moment Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is easily ......easily the perfect Anime in my eyes considering Story.... Plot....... Character ......Animation .......Pace and overall quality it's one of the finest Animes out there Naruto or dragon ball doesn't compare .....maybe One Piece to some degree I mean One Piece Anime's pacing and animation is all over the place but the manga is Phenomenal and although Naruto being such a great Series I can find many plot holes especially during the 4th great Ninja War and various other stuff that Kishimoto Sensei didn't explain totally but again Naruto has some stuff which u won't see in any other anime or manga so can't complain much.....But anyways my point is FMAB is truly a GOD-Tier Anime with almost no flaws....!!!!!

I always wonder at this point, what Ed named their kids. I would have loved to know. I would have also loved to see the Roy x Riza wedding we all know happens at some point (in my head, it happens and no one will convince me otherwise).
Also, I love the parallel of how Ed and Al went east and west to shape the world just like Mr. Ho and Father.

There is a good reason why Fullmetal Alchemist makes more sense than Naruto. The reason is that Fullmetal Alchemist is a shorter story, and the outline of the story was thought out early on. Naruto is a very long series and the author keep on adding new contents. Therefore, many things said in the beginning make no sense toward the end. For example, Naurto was a outcast child because everyone knew he has Nine-tailed sealed into him -- the creature that destroyed the village. Everyone is scared or hate him. Yet, somehow, everyone knew he has nine-tail inside him, but very few knew he is the son of the person who saved the village (Minato).
It was a good final round. The opening called the hologram was very good. Ed is very similar to his dad's young days. This anime taught me that to get something you have to sacrifice something. That is equivalent exchange. The next recommended anime is a silver spoon anime drawn by the author of the Fullmetal Alchemist, so please react.

There's many reasons that this show is so amazing, but id like to take a moment to appreciate the exceptional skill in the crafting of characters and their development, nothing is pointless or wasted and almost everything carries strong things. FMA has such great characters that I could never forget. Thank you so much for sharing your reactions its been such a journey : )

What a great run. One of the few anime that didn't have any loose ends plot-wise but at the same time, the ending is still open-ended and ripe for interpretation. So good. Definitely in my Top 5 for sure. Love your reactions.
I always wondered how the philosopher stone restored Mustang's sight. IIRC, Hohenheim mentioned (when he tried to heal Izumi) that any organs taken or defects caused by the Truth cannot be healed as proof of the sacrifice. Anyone can clear this up for me? Highly appreciate it.
He did say that, yet he offered himself for Al, and also Ed could recover Al's body (lost as a toll).
The theory is that was because his philosophy (which is the same as the brothers): "I can't heal you because it's the price you have to pay for your sin" rather than "I can't because I don't have the power/it's forbidden".
For the brothers Hohenheim felt responsible so he offered himself to save Al.

The way I "see it" (pun intended), Mustang's sacrifice was not of his own volition, hence the punishment can be lifted. As cold the Truth can be, it is the most fair being of the saga ; so maybe it allowed Mustang to be healed since he was showed the Truth by accident.

I think Fullmetal Alchemist is one of a best comic in Japan. If you have a chance to read comics, you surely enjoy the world of FA.
I've been really interested in FMA's manga actually :D I'll probably read it in my spare time just to relive the journey with all the details n.n
Few series tie up so well. Thank you Hiromi Arakawa, for such a wonderful story, and than you Kyuujin Reacts, for such a fun and interesting way to re-watch this series! BTW I've heard Arakawa's said if she ever did a sequel, it would primarily focus on Roy's ascent to fuhrer.

What a beautiful journey this was, always watch this show at least once or twice a year and never get tired, FMAB and HxH are my favorite adventure anime of all the time, there's a lot of good anime out there, like AoT, Naruto, JoJo etc. But only few manage to be perfect like this one, I'm still hoping HxH gets a new arc animated :(, anyways loved your reactions!

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the series. FMA/FMAB has always been on my list of favourite animes after all these years. FMA 2003 was actually the first (or one of the first) animes I ever watched so it has a place in my heart for that reason too.
Just a little FYI about FMA 2003, it has both similarities and differences with Brotherhood. The best way to enjoy it is to not compare it to Brotherhood and enjoy it for what it is. And also the Conqueror of Shamballa movie is a direct sequel to FMA 2003 anime. The Sacred Star of Milos movie is a stand-alone movie (and as much as it pains me, it wasn't a very good movie) so you won't miss much if you skip it.
My favorite anime of all time is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. My second one is Steins Gate. I'm really glad you'll see it next and I'm very happy that you loved FMAB.

Almost all of them tbh xD I'm a fan, I had my ships and favorite couples for sure, but on a story level, Kishimoto never really pushed for romance, so most couples in the end felt more like fanservice than actual development (I would say...the only couple I saw that had actual chemistry and natural development was probably ShimamaruXTemari, but as much as I'm totally ok with NarutoXHinata and I like SasukeXSakura, the first one barely ever shared screen time/moments 😅. (for real, Naruto barely ever noticed her) and the second one...well...let's just say that Sasuke being with ANYONE that way felt a bit forced after everything (although I'm still really happy he has a family now :3))

I was sobbing like a little kid. I finished this yesterday and the mere thought of FMA:B makes me tear up a little bit. It sounds super dramatic but i just feel empty lol i dont know if i'll ever find an anime that i will love as much as this one. If anyone has suggestions, please help me LOL

Now I hate to spam you gals repeating myself with a similar comment from another episode but I dunno if you actually saw the first one...if you plan on watching Fate/Zero like you said, please PLEASE watch Fate/Unlimited Blade Works first (the series, not the movie) a LOT of people new to the Fate franchise go and watch Fate/Zero first because of the hype without realising it's a prequel. Sorry for the spam but I don't want you to get spoiled on some details of the main story :(
Edit: I forgot to mention that my enthusiasm comes from Fate being my favorite franchise and the anime adaptations being just second to the FMAB anime to me (my favorite that I always rewatch at least once a year :>). So rest assured that Fate, while confusing, is one hell of a cool ride :D.

They say men excell at focusing at one task while women excel at multitasking and thinking bout plenty of things at once. The author of the story exemplifies that. To be able to put so many plots and sublots in 64 episode anime and tieing them all up is simply incredible. So many philosophical points, so many third tier characters that made such an impact on the story despite having so little time on screen. An incredible web of sublots that ALL had their finales. Truly remarkable. One of the mangas i bet and certainly animes(props to their team aswell, they were amazing) that will years from now be regarded as "classics to watch, a must watch". The stories purpose is to send you on a journey somewhere that doesnt exist and yet allow you take something from it and go on. So i guess..... See you space cowboy?
There're still 3 OVA left, and i rarely see FMAB's reactors watch this bonus episode.
One is a story about a blind alchemist.
Second is about their Master(izumi)'s training days. And
The the third my favorite, about Roy and Hughes when they're still in the military academy.
Yeah I get what you are saying about Naruto being your favorite. Similarly, my favorite is Dragonball even though Brotherhood is so much better.
I love that Arakawa, after putting us through episodes 3 and 4, some of the most amazing but notoriously depressing episodes in anime, she gave us such an uplifting, happy, satisfying ending, without being sappy. All of these characters EARNED these endings.
Pure joy in anime form. Loved rewatching these again along with you two😊

In the Manga Mustang didnt have the mustache at the end... Also in the last family pic, besides Winry, Ed and kids there are only May and Al.... and being that is a intimate family picture, guess that tells you May and Al are probably together.... Dont know why the anime added the other 2 to the picture as it doesnt make sense that they are in a family picture...
Maybe as a little fan service so everyone gets to see where they ended up! I'm not mad about it, I consider all of them family, they deserve the spot ;)
@@kyuujinreacts yeah but I also think they did that cause Anime is more widespread than manga, and some people in the west complain that May was too young for Al and made him look like a pedobear, did they forgot Al inside the armor is just a little kid aswell, May Chang was like 12 or 13 and Al was like 14... In the manga picture was just the family Winry, Ed, kids, Al and May, but they added the other 2 to lessen the intimacy and leave it to your imagination... Heck you can even tell by the dub that the west wanted to lessen the pairing in case it received negativity from puritans....
In the dub when Ed jokes with Al that he has a fixation with May and that he might be the next prince of Xing, Al says come on... She is a nice girl though...
While in the original language Al doesnt deny Ed, he says: Yes.. she is a nice girl...
Anyway as a manga reader.... and knowing that the author loves pairings, May and Al ending up together is the only logical conclusion...
