Al Franken just took too long to introduce VEEP and bored the audience with his self-aggrandizing, unfunny chit-chat that went too long and wrecked the intro. And 7:03 - earnest woman on left, and one on the far right too: two people seriously upset at the cheerleader fetus joke. And Timothy Simon's attempt at a cool haircut a la European football players like Ronaldo 2014 looks a bit ridiculous. It all felt a bit embarrassing. Not the best VEEP award video unfortunately, because it's a great show.
He didn’t, he hovered his hands over the soldier to mimic feeling her up. He didn’t actually touch her. He should still be fired though, he belongs in a comedy club not Congress. If you call that ‘sexual assault’ then you’re putting it in the same category as other more serious crimes.
Of all the reasons senators lost their seats. Franklin’s has to be the most interesting. He deserved to be fired, how he humiliated that solder while she was sleeping is disgraceful behaviour for a senator. Not as bad as TedKennedy but still very bad. On the other hand he didn’t touch her at all, and it clear he was making a joke, he knew how inappropriate it was and that made it funny for him to pretend to do it. Like “could you imagine if I did something as horrible as this lol” Maybe he should go back to comedy because that’s clearly where his heart is. Because for a moment he forgot he was a senator, and was just trying to get laughs.
It's so ridiculous that Franken would be there. VEEP is a comedy that makes fun of Democrats and shows how incompentent, mean spirited and cynical they are behind the scenes.
True, they never say the word "democrat" or "republican" in the script. But Selina Meyer is put in charge of the Clean Jobs Initiative in Season 1, which is hardly a republican idea. The producers and writers of the show are openly democrat and Julia Louis Dreyfuss is very open about here own liberal democrat views as well
Daniel McNamee ok literally they have said the show represents political behaviour in general so you are reading into it. And since they are democrats, if they had to choose wouldn't they criticize republicans? But then again, they are talking about neither specifically. Julia has even talked about how both party members think it's about the other party, which is what's happening right now with you
My point, whether you choose to see it or not, is that the show is produced, written by, and in the most part performed by liberal democrats and the show is very popular with liberal democrats even though the show is mocking liberal democrats in the most hilarious fashion. Liberal democrats, as usual, think they are the smartest people in the room and don't fathom that they are actually ridiculing themselves.
Daniel McNamee My point, whether you choose to see it or not, is that the show mocks the behaviour of politicians from both parties. There is absolutely zero suggestion, and in fact a lot of evidence to the contrary, that the show is specifically mocking democrats so I'm not sure why you keep insisting on saying that
Love this show sad that it ended. I wish they can go on forever and create a new one similar to this.
The President is tweeting !!!
When she announced his name I almost expected the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme to start playing
Remember when we could laugh and just be light hearted!!!!!?????? Let's get back to that!
The weeks after this weren't so good for Al Franken
thanks to dumb liberals who turned on him. it was clearly a pathetic attempt by conservatives that worked.

They loved the pussy eating joke tho. Maybe you read too much into their reactions.
@@NinoNiemanThe1st You're a simple kind of clown.
@ Great response. It doesn't even mean anything!
This show could’ve kept going. The material never runs out
I mean she could have only served 2 terms bobby, so not really.
@@ballisticwaffle1512 technically, there is no term limit for a VICE president waffle, so I stand by my OC.
Hysterical!
Marvelous 🤗
I love how she's an award winning actress that can still get nervous!
That's top-notch acting there. She's not nervous, that speech and performance is rehearsed.
I had to fast forward past Al Franken
Seriously. He thinks way too highly of himself and made it all about him
Dude dodged a bullet. God works in strange ways. Al, we hardly knew yee!
What jokes of writer that Timothy said in the end?
@@RoPiDe Haha I thought he said dicks
hawking hahahaha
Not a Senator to much longer.. now that is funny! Me too’d right outta Congress! 😅
Lol al franken
I miss Al. He did the right thing.
By sexually assaulting a woman?
He didn’t, he hovered his hands over the soldier to mimic feeling her up.

she knew. you can tell in the way she is uncomfortable kissing him.
She said preferably weeks ahead. Ironic
Oohhhh c'mon
That's so funny and true!
I’m sorry I can’t see it….
Al franken needs to run for President.
Good Wolf well.
Well he's got the unwarranted ego for it, if not the humor. He killed the intro with his self-absorbed monologue that went way too long.

Daniel McNamee The show is not bi-partisan as expressed by the cast and writers. They purposely never show allegiance to either party
