I personally think Jonah and Richard are one of the best duos on TV. Then you add in Dan to the group and the 3 become this amazing trio of hate, anger and unbridled optimism
Harry Hurt there's an odd sweetness to Jonah and Richard's friendship
Richard makes a great duo with anyone because it cancels their assholeness 😂 he was also good with selena. Anyone he spends time with just becomes more likeable than alone
That's like the powerpuff girls of mixed feelings
Precisely
No Jonah nickname has ever made me laugh harder than 'the cloud botherer'.
For me it was the world's largest single cell organism
Tall McCartney
Spewbacca
Fucking Big Bird
mines supervalifragilisticexpialidickcheese
"You're not even your mom's favorite Jonah, Jonah"
Jonah Hill?
"The Cloud Botherer" is my all-time favorite Jonah insult. "The World's Largest Single-Cell Organism" a close second.
I went to high school with Timothy and honestly he was one of the few people that was decent to me an non judgemental and was a real friend! I loved our talks about "alternative" music and we both loved the red hot chilie peppers! Congratulations my friend
That's so sweet.
For real??
I believe it.
That's a lovely thing to say . Thanks for saying it.
Thank you for sharing, that’s so sweet!
"You're like Frankenstein's monster if he were made completely of dead d*%&$" has always been a personal favorite of mine.
As well as supercalifragilisticexpialadickcheese, of course.
Turns out Jolly Green Jizz Face is charming in real life.
I dunno, think sentient enema is my favourite Jonah name
Spoogebooge Jolly Green Jizz Face is another favourite!
The Cloud Botherer
Plus Sized Homonculus
Professor Xgayvier
"Spewbaca"
It’s hard to believe a show with so many despicable, horrendous characters Was so enjoyable to watch. I will miss this show.
The regular ones, “Santa, the Easter bunny, everything is fine” 😂😂😂
”The worlds largest piece of unstable human scaffolding”. Oh the imagination of these writers is unreal👍
The Cloud Botherer is the best one!
I was crying when i fisrt heard it.
"...All the regular ones (lies)....Santa, the Easter Bunny, 'Everything's Fine'...."
I went to school with him in high school. I was friends with him in middle school and early part of high school (They were in the same building). We would always sit in the library and talk about things and laugh. Glad to see he is doing great!!
Timothy Simons does an amazing job playing an unlikable character in the show, but for this interview, he was incredibly likable with a sharp sense of humor and impeccable timing. I've only checked out the first 2 episodes of Veep, but I'm thinking I'll have to get back to it now.
You're missing comedy gold!
Uh yeah...do yourself a big favor!
Agree, agree! I've watched all seven seasons now and the final episode was one of the BEST I've seen on TV.👍👍👍
"You're always able to separate it sometimes"
Timothy is right up there with Antony Starr in convincing you to absolutely hate their characters
Holy shit. I remember the show Jonah is talking about too. It was a Ghostface show and the opening act was TruLife. He said something about the opening act [I wanna say it was Vakill] and tried to get the crowd to sing some song with NY in the title. His hypeman threw some plastic bottles and somebody from the crowd threw a glass bottle at Trulife's face. Eventually shit died down and the cops let Ghostface perform after. Good times.
For some reason, rather than watch Veep and GoT episode by episode as they drop, I've been storing them up for binge-watching. Only those two shows, except for the first ep of GoT S7. I'm in the guts of Veep S6 and it is phenomenal. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is just perfect. They all are really, not one misstep. From soup to nuts, everyone involved, be they writers, actors, wardrobe, set design, lighting...all great.
am i a horrible person for finding jonah endearingly likable even though he's objectively terrible lol
no
Nah, that just goes to show how skilled the writers are. I’ve never actually seen this show specifically, but I find myself loving a lot of fictional villains, even though if they existed in real life I’d avoid them lol. I think just knowing it’s fake is part of what makes it fun too. Idk lol.
@@toxicsugarart2103 you should watch it
It's great
@@chantalfinn6173 yeah I’ve really been wanting to, is it on any streaming apps?
@@toxicsugarart2103 I'm in Canada, I have it on HBO Crave Tv
It was an accident ... much like when bigfoot got your mom pregnant, resulting in you.
Imo, Jonah became more likable this season compared to previous seasons.
Such as when he considered Richard to be his friend so he invited him to a concert, and then after he realizes it's a Neo Nazi concert he became worried about Richard and wanted to leave.
And how he thinks the word pork offends Shawnee so he does not want that to be said around her.
He cares more about some people now.
Button Nose - good observation.
I liked Jonah since season one when Dan rejected him in the diner.
Oops.. spoke too soon.
The later episodes, not so much, unless you count him making up with his stepfather before his stepdad died from adult chicken pox (which is lethal in adulthood, but just a pain in the ass if you're a kid).
Or after him and his dad got chicken pox, his dad advised him to lighten up on the intensity and crude speech, and Jonah was like “🥺 okay dad.” Boy just needed a father figure growing up.
It takes a man of incredible humility and self awareness to play such an unlikable character. This interview just proves that irl TIMOTHY is just a super nice guy :)
That dude is freaking huge. Seems like the huggable sort though.
love this interview
Aww, that's the cute, funny, lovable Jonah :)
Lmfao the way Stephen's voice cracks at 1:14 when he says "uhh...he's very tall.."
Some of my fave bits of the show were whenever Peter Macnicol was screaming at him.
"Teach that to your daughters" ... Timothy only has 1 daughter
Jacob Mac Donald I think maybe Colbert was drunk. He kept stumbling over words in his monologue and licked his lips a lot. He was really thrown off by Tracy Morgan too. Usually he's quicker than that. To be fair he could just be really distracted by something personal.
Such an amazing character to watch...I like to see him in other movies or series
"yeah let's just go ahead and name our human child 'Hopper'"
Sounds fucking great
Amazing actor! He's hysterical as Jonah.
Such a great character/actor. Love this guy...
The last time I came this early I got divorced.
pryodiablo I
Joes on weed street. Hahahah I've been there before.
Ha, it's Tall McCartney!!
Quite charming this guy
"Well, he's tall...and he's a dick." Best line.
oh look it's Jonad
Poor Jonad... I mean, Timothy. 😂
Wow he looks so studly with a beard
That’s Drew Pickles from “Rugrats” on Paramount+.
I think he has that beard to hide his Jonah-ness lol
Was that Clair For in the clip ?
So nice to see the lovely and talented actor behind Jonah... congrats Tim!! And VEEP IS BAAAACK??? MY TIME OF SUFFERING IS OVER!!
That chair must not be very comfortable. Why is he fidgeting?
M. Shahri it probably has something to do with him being knees to nips in it lol but he keeps wringing his hands and adjusting his jacket too so he may just have nervous tics/be a fidgeter in general
He should have just taken off all his clothes
I love Jonah!
Can confirm. Joe's on Weed is indeed the worst bar in America.
Jonah Ryan could be president one day
awww, what in improvement that would be, right?
No, the POTUS is the POTUS. Jonah is Jonad.
He'd be better than what we've got now.
I think they will end VEEP with Jonah as President and Selina as Vice President lol
tonyajw85 Selina will rather get assassinated
He's surprising good looking with a beard
Chicago!
Timothy’s voice and mannerisms remind me of John Mulaney
Timmothy Simmons turns out to be so very nice...and funny. Glad I caught this video.
Hopper and Marty? Solid names. Hopper just sounds like a jaded cop with a cool leather jacket.
Irish moms sound like it.
*I'm going to Joe's on Weed when I go to Chicago... For like 30mins.
Veep ought to end as a series with Jonah as the Veep.
My FAVORITE character on Veep👍👍👍
He's like a Giant version of Jesse Eisenberg.
Except likeable
Wow...Timothy Charles Simons.
Three first names packed into one...somehow that’s oddly appropriate for the actor who plays Jonah.
This is my teachers husband 😂😤
Is that crowd dead, or is it me?
Timothy's wife, Annie Simon is my theater teacher
I love all of the characters in Veep no matter how nasty or bullying they are to each others
Jonah Ryan could easily have a spin-off series.
He's so sweet in real life!
I was looking for a different Tim Simmons and came across this
His daughter's name is Hopper? Did I mishear that?
"...and as an almost-Jew I will not stand for this antihomosemitism".
The title of the video is because the last minute of the interview.
My Dad thought his name was Asshole until he went to grade school, as per my kind, old grandmother.
I am so used to seeing Jonah as nothing but a disgusting, horrible, freakish pile of garbage... but the actor is actually quite charming... and weirdly kind of really hot? haha
I know, right?
Upvoted just for him daring to show his face in public.
I always felt bad for Jonah
This crowd is at a funeral?
wow lol black people got Shaqueetas... white people got Hoppers 😂😂😂
I love sentient enema
Okay this actor as jonah is so entirely not attractive but slap a beard on him give him a nice haircut and shit im into it
Hes SO hilarious why are the audience so dry?!
love this guy
Timothy seems like a cool dude.
Cloudbotherer
Look at my dad, y'all! 🙌
Timothy Simons=LOVE.
Lmao he's so funny
his laugh is so adorable
totally right on about Joes On Weed Street... that place is garbage-person CITY :p
Gorgeous.
Supercalifragilisticexpialidickcheese
It's a bit weird hearing people from a few years ago talking about how objectionable Jonad is, having just seen a total explosion in Season 7. Early Jonad is a PC pussycat by comparison.
Here’s a poem that he looks like...
6’5
4”
💁🏻
Marty Simmons sweetie I am so sorry...that name is just so unfortunate 🤭😭
7:20
Is Staphen a little rude towards him?
What???
JOHNAD THE WORLDS LARGEST SINGLE CELLED ORGANISM
Stop saying, "physical specimen"...
but he is...
Sorry, I can’t imagine him as Timothy. I will forever refer to this brilliant actor as the one and only Jonah Ryan.
My first names are Timothy Charles. Just saying.
Been there. Timothy's right. Weeds sucks.
Mia7189 Weeds and Joe's on Weed are 2 different bars on the same street.
I like the beard but I don't think the hair works.
He's SO fine :P
