Great episode @speedculturestudios‼️ Owner of a 2018 Q60 RS AWD, I bought it 3 years ago as a CPO purchase w/ 6.5k miles. It’s now @ 74k, been FBO for over 50k miles & running like a dream. No mechanical issues & hasn’t skipped a beat, proper maintenance & care for a turbo charged car is all it needs. 5k oil changes, check oil/coolant/belt regularly (it’s good practice) & enjoy. Great platform to start modifying in terms of cosmetics & performance. Be strategic about your build & or goal, but don’t cut corners 💯🙏 @my60rs ✌️
Great overall recap of the years and what to expect. I put on a hard 80k miles on my 2015 and it still runs like a champ. I wouldn't mind starting it all over again with a newer model and a fresh engine. Cheers broski.
A year with my 3.7 Q50 2015 and the only issue ive had is a minor steering fluid leak and the basic maintenance ( fluids / filters / breaks ) . 103k miles running strong , shifts smoothly but i i got that bag ready for any valve body issues
I have a 2015 q50 currently at 145k miles only issues I’ve had is my valve body going bad at 136k & radiator leaking at 140k besides that car drives like a beast still
Probably a stinger 3.8 or the genesis, I would stay away from any sort of German or American made car tbh. These cars are the best bang for your buck hands down
There are 18s out there for slightly more. You may be able to negotiate down. If you're considering the 16, get an inspection at a nissan/infiniti dealer.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Great thanks for the feedback, I’ve been looking for 18+ but looks like the market is slim in my area and surrounding for the price im looking for but I’ve been told more than once 16s were not the way to go, so I will keep that in mind.
What's your budget? You wanna do performance or cosmetic? Performance can be expensive as where cosmetics are pretty cheap to purchase. I just got a 2020 Silver Sport myself.
Anybody wanting a VR30 stick to 2020+. Just because of the updated infotainment system and how the packaging system has changed. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto is standard from this point onward. DO NOT get a 2019. I’ve seen way too many lower specked q50’s without rear sensors, adjustable lumbar w/ front sensors only and dealers ask way too much compared to a 2017 w/ Bose almost standard, and with rear and front sensors. 2018s at the very least I’ve seen more with the proassist package and still have that 2018+ refresh.
Just purchased a 2020 q50 red sport for 35.5k. 1 owner, 18k miles, and clean car fax. Super happy about it.
Congrats. Sounds fun.
2019 Luxury purchased in 2022, did some minor mods awesome car!!
Hello there, long time viewer first time commenting, I own a 2020 Q50 Luxe. I bought it in November of 2022.
Great choice!
Nice, I just got a 2020 Silver Sport with 24K miles. Glad to know I picked a good year.
Excellent choice!
Got a 2020 CPO Redsport w/ 37,000 miles for 34k last September. I love her.
Going to get into a 2019 q50 this week. I’ve been looking for months and glad to hear I went with a good year 🫡
Have you ever encountered an P2098 code ..any ideas as to what some say it’s an exhaust leak or the 02 sensor

Any valve body issues?
Very quick cars with the VR30
Especially when tuned
I have a 2018 silver sport and I’ll tell you diff issues turbo replacement and that’s really it nothing else great car all and all
2018+ > 2014-2015 > 2016-2017

I’m planning to get a 2021 that’s my sweet spot right now with my budget
I have one. The engine blew up at 40,000kms. It’s under warranty but the shop has NINE other 2021s in right now with the same problem. Stay away bro
@@alexandergiassi9427 was it new from the factory when you got it ?
2020 is the perfect year, nothing else. And i have a 19ss
What would be a good q50 alternative (within similar price range)

Would your wheel and tire setup for the 3.7 fit a 2020 3.0??
Yes. Should be very close if not the same
2020
What do you think about a 2016 q50 with 49k miles for 16k? Clean title and good history. Kind of hard for me to pass up on but I am second guessing.

Got a 2015 3.7 with a clean title and 42k miles for 16k.
Where are you located?
i paid 18k for a q50 2.7 2015 67,000 miles… decent deal? drive great i had to travel 4 hours to get it they lowkey hard to find
Price is kinda high but location makes a big difference
I found a 2019 q50 red sport with 50k miles for 29k is that a good deal?
Not bad for a red sport. I’d try to get it down some still
@@SpeedCultureStudios bet ya I’m hoping to try seeing if the seller is willing to go down what do u recommend is a good price?
@@zulfiquer3841 I’d be looking at closer to 25k but it all depends on where you’re located.
@@SpeedCultureStudios o ok ya I live in Detroit
Bought me a 2020 luxe 25k miles for $28k a couple months ago, too high?
It’s really low miles so probably not a bad buy

What about the 2018?
Questionable
@@SpeedCultureStudioscan you explain why?
