The Zhiyun Crane 2 S had one major problem - until now! Is the Zhiyun Crane 2S the best gimbal for medium sized mirrorless cameras and DSLR setups? What's up everyone?! I hope this review of the new Zhiyun Crane 2S was helpful. Did you like it? I wasn’t sure what to expect from this gimbal because I wasn’t sure how different it was going to be from the Weebill S. Ultimately, if you prefer this form factor and need more capacity, it’s a great gimbal (now that I moved the motor)

great video, I bought a zhiyun mini dual grip and when I try to connect it to my crane 2s the screw that comes with the mini dual grip is too small for the hole of the crane 2s, however I could see that you used it in this video, any help?

Using the crane 2 in lock mode with iPhone (Z-Play) remote, but it seems to occasionally pause and not always have smooth motion - any suggestions?
I got this 2s. The quick release base latch worn lock until I try 100 times. And if I press that bottom below the base while moving the latch it give up completely. Not sure what am I doing wrong. Any help will be nice
I just bought the Crane 2s. My LG Stylo 4 is not compatible with ZY Play so I cannot activate my gimbal. Other than activation, what all will ZY Play be required for with the Crane 2s?

I really need your advice though,i work near a zhiyun repair center and have some friends there and I can get a like new,refurbished crane 3s for 380€ which is a great price, i have a weebill s now but when i want to use my a7iii with a battery grip it doesn't work.
I also need to look to the future if i buy some bigger lenses,that's why i want to upgrade from weebill s.
And now i watched this and i don't know if this one is the right choice ore 3s.

Can you explain how you dealt with the wiring once you removed the extension arm? Got everything off then struggled figuring out how to get the wiring in a position that I could reinstall and assemble.

Does it work for a7 iii? Because when I plug it up it's not getting the functions to change the settings from the gimbal. When I press record from the gimbal the camera does not record! please help! I use the cable and it's charging but it's not giving me the option to control the camera from the gimbal. I've the gimbal set to sony! any help?

No it can't. Cranes 3s or any of the newer DJi gimbals.
The copy that I received from amazon three days ago already has the rear motor installed at a 45 degree as opposed to being at 90 degrees that I have seen in most of the videos. I think the new batch that Zhiyun ships already have the rear motor mounted at 45 degrees.

I have the crane 3s and I’m having issues with the camera clamp lock .... it slide around when is fully tight .... I’m returning it to get the crane2s instead ... I have a Sony A 6600 with a sigma 30mm f1.4 lends ... do you think if that’s a good move to make???

How well does the C200 fit the 2s? Just want to check whether it has proper clearance in the back, or is it like the crane 2 where you can’t invert it and you can’t really do any other mode than PF.

Tech Gear Talk thanks for the quick reply. I thought as much. I ask because it’s important to me to keep the weight and footprint down to the minimum, and thought the 2s may just be enough to handle it, I would have accepted some compromise - like not being able to go inverted but still being able to go into F & POV mode and tilt enough before any motors hit the eyepiece. Most of the shots I’d be doing would be simple tracking, and some amount of tilt.
I still like form factor of the Weebil S and The Crane 3. Good work Sagi and shout out to Terry as well✊🏿

I use the crane M2 with a Sony ZV1 and I cannot access the ports on the side of the camera for the microphone or the HDMI out.

Hi there. If you want this type of form factor, the Crane 2S is a great option. Otherwise, grab the Weebill S (it's my gimbal of choice for setups that work on that size). Hope that helps.

Hello. Not sure if your still using this gimbal. Question. Did you ever have connection problems using the cables with a7siii or a7iv? I'm having a instable usb c to usb c connection from gimbal to camera
A7s3 and many Sony cameras have minimal controls from this gimbal. Only stop and start record.
A7iv isn't even on the supported list of cameras. Read thr compatibility documents for any gimbal you want to buy. Every manufacturer puts that on the gimbal product page.

I'm using a bmpcc6k with tilta cage and 18-35 and just got this gimbal today and it was working fine but I went and did auto calibration and it's been vibrating non stop idk what to do honestly I love this gimbal but can't keep it if its violently vibrating

So I just got a new Crane 2S and a Sony A7S3, I'm super confused about connecting both of them, I'm using USB C - C cable, it seems to be working but I'm unable to figure out how to control camera operations from gimbal such as start/stop recording; I searched all over the internet and just came across more beginners facing the same problem but no answers in sight. Hope that you could help, thanks in advance.

You all should read the gimbal compatibility documents on any gimbal you want to buy.
It clearly states that for a7s3, you cannot control functions from the gimbal. Additionally there is this instruction:
Please select "PC Remote" for
your camera's "USB Connection".
（To open a7s3 PC remote
control, go to "Menu" and do the
following selection : "Network" -
"Transfer / Remote" - "PC remote
control" - "Open"）
As for a74, that camera isn't even on the list because it came out after the gimbal so there is no requirement for them to support functions.

Great review. I'm new to the gimbal world and purchased a dji ronin sc. Although I loved the build and look, it annoyed me as it kept drifting etc. I was dead set on the weebil s but have now seen this 🙈🤣. Which should I get? Weebil S or Crane 2s? Pros and cons in comparison.
Good idea. Personally, I use the WBS more than the C2S because I like the form factor. But of course it depends on what you're carrying and whether it will fit with the WBS

No, it’s not too heavy. I just use counterweights.

Smallrig makes them. You can use a cage or get a smallrig quick release plate for this gimbal. Look at the description.

Sony A 7iv record button of crane 2s is not supported. any clue for that?
You might have to wait for the update because a7iv is a fairly new camera. Or try using another camera option I saw a UA-cam comment where it worked.

It seems that the features set is very comparable, I would focus on form factor for your needs. BTW, I have a Weebill S and I love it.
Isaac Roufs not gonna lie to you: I believe the Weebill S is good enough for my setup and I love the small form factor as well. Just wish I could stabilize it more using the dual grip like this new Crane.
Hi you two. First, yes - totally agree that the form factor on the WBS is awesome. You could attach the transmount handle if you wanted to. It will attach with no problem. Hope that helps.

I've had my Crane 2S for a couple days now. It works great with my BMPCC4K. I keep looking for more videos on the 2S for settings some may be using, and general fun in looking at good footage.

Hey! I have a few questions. Is it worth getting a follow focus motor or will I he able to focus by connecting the camera to the gimbal and using the focus motors of the lens to focus? I have a sigma 18-35. Secondly, is there a way to work around the gimbal motor blocking the camera screen?
I think the rear motor is good at high position. It is easier to for the motor maneuver. The screen is block occasionally, but i want smooth movement ALL THE TIME.
Especially when u need to tilt the handle forward.

Anyone else have an issue with locking the base plate? Just got mine and the base plate won't lock it into place. Such a basic thing. Brand new and this issue has me totally baffled and disappointed.

Great review, I recently picked one up and I'm loving how insanely smooth it is. However, the motors are really annoying and produce a high pitch whine whenever using it with my a7iii and 16-35mm GM

It should mean that the physical axis lock is engaged for one of the motors. Toggle it.
@@TechGearTalk idk if thats the problem. It also says try again with an X after i try and auto tune it
For some reason I can't activate the gimbal. I followed all the instructions but it still gives me an error message and says that I have to contact ZHIYUN support. -_-
Go to the website and download the latest firmware and installer no Xr you do it - try to active again
@@TechGearTalk but I updated the ZY Play app in the play store right before i wanted to set it up because I still had one of the older versions where the crane 2s wasn't even included.
