- Ever seen a person’s hat and assumed something about how they play? Well, you’re not alone. In fact, most hats in the game hold a certain stereotype. This series of videos aims to go over some of the most well-known stereotypes in TF2.
Please keep in mind that I’m not saying that anyone who wears a certain hat is a certain type of person. These videos are for fun. Sorry if I hurt your feelings or something.
The Scout is one of those classes that draws a lot of hate towards the people who play it. And while not every scout main is a complete dick, there's a reason the class gets so much flak. Strap in, guys. It's time to start a shitstorm in the comments.

It's weird watching these on a playlist, because the cello never really stops and it always seems to line up perfectly with the beginning of the next video, so it just feels like it's just one long video

@@lime8823 The abridged series, huh? Not bashing your statement, but it came out way after TF2. Even if we were to use the original SAO, it came out in 2009 while TF2 came out in 2007. Again, not trying to argue. Just thought I'd share something I did a little research on. That aside, TF2 Scout is definitely the bigger douche.

Back before I became an engineer I was a scout stationed at pl_Borneo. The standard uniform was a heavy ballistic helmet and vest, our jobs were to get behind the lines and sabatoge the Viet Cong any way we could. It was all well and good until they decided to strike at us head on... I had a friend back there doing his rounds when he heard a shot, he ran back to inform us there may have been an ambush somewhere. I went out with him and with some boys back from Tennessee to scout out the area... We took about 7 young men, barely out of their teens to investigate the shot. When we were about 10 minutes out we heard distant shots and explosions, this were no misfires or raiding parties, but by listening to it we determined it was a full-scale attack. We ran back to find the base in flames, people fighting, piles of corpses in the trenches, and men throwing up blood and with massive holes in their chests. Damn, it was horrible. Before we knew it our commander wanted every man able to fight out there and blowing those bastards back to hell. The squad I went out with has ordered to go around the assault and flank the enemy. Oh how that was a mistake... Those crazy bastards came out of nowhere, charging out of the grass and trees, one poor soul that was right next to me was frozen in place and had his jaw shot off. Pieces of bone and teeth went flying toward me. It was horrible. I quickly ordered my squad and to retreat, but it was in vain. Those guys had backup, and it came like thunder. Running up from behind us, bayonets raised. They stabbed two young men who slowly bled out. I got the remaining 4 to get the hell out of there, not looking back, dodging bullets, wood splintering beside us. As we got back to our base it was literally no man's land. The only thing we saw were corpses by the hundred, some mutilated, others burned. We had no choice but to run through them or be killed. As we were running I tripped on a body to find out it was a Vietnamese soldier, barely alive, innards spilt everywhere. He was saying something to me but I couldn't understand, then with what strength he had left, he pulled a gun from his side and ended his life. To see such a sight I blacked out. It was night when I woke up. Some American soldiers were back, patrolling, cleaning up the bodies, and searching fot survivors. One found me and carried me to an escape helicopter and I was shipped off to HQ. I woke up a few hours later, a doctor approached me with a syringe filled with what I suppose was morphine. When I saw the sharp needle I immediately thought of those poor kids who were stabbed back in the jungle. Without thinking I grabbed the needle and shoved it in the doctor's throat, nearly killing him. He called for help and men came rushing in to restrain me. I succumbed to the strength of those boys and was put to sleep. I woke up days latter approached by a Field Marshal. He explained that I was suffering from PTSD, but he still needed men. Unable to cope with the thought of having to go back to that hell. I begged him to send me somewhere else, luckily he did. We were short of engineers at HQ, so I was employed there. And spent the rest of the war in fear of another attack and seeing the mutilated bodies of those young men. Ever since I've been staying behind lines, supporting in whatever way my crippled body and mind could. Whenever I see a young man wearing a Fortune Son and a Flak Jack I remember those poor young men back there in the forest, on the battlefield and think: these poor bastards will have to experience what I did.

Considering that, in my opinion, every piece of that outfit is overpriced on their own and the fact that I don't recall ever seeing a scout with even one price of it, I'm just gonna assume the stereotype for THAT piece of work is people with too much money on their hands and dumb enough to believe that a complete outfit gives you hidden perks.
But then again, I've said I've never seen anyone with even one part of it, no less the complete set, so I'm just going of my own bias of that thing.

As a Scout who wears the Baker Boy I can say this is 100% accurate
An age where soundsmith enjoyed and was happy that the stereotypes series existed
But little did he know...
Just realized I have one of the edgy cosmetics on.
I don't even think the Delinquet's Down Vest is edgy, it just looks like a shitty winter jacket where he ripped off the sleeves to look coo- oh I get it. But still, it matches my winter loadout so I'm sticking with it.

a vest is a garment with no sleeves that usually goes over a shirt, in this case the vest is puffy to keep away the cold. (idk why since the scout is running and that should make him hot)

Eh, I wear the scunt set Ironically, but even I don't have the heart to paint it lime and pink.
I do to, but I have the digit divulger on full leather style. I also wear it with Airborne Attire and Blizzard Britches. I just think it looks good, and I know everyone uses Blizzard Britches nowadays, but I just hate Scout's default pants, and most others suck.
One exception to the Milkman hat. If it's painted Gentlemann's Business Pants and has a name tag mentioning the Milky Way, AND the scout wearing it spams Mad Milk? They're bronies.

I think the reason the ninja hood is seen as a cosmetic for bad scouts is cause for some inexplicable reason it seems to be like the most common hat drop, which is odd since most craft hats have the same chance of being dropped, but for some reason there’s a lot of random drop ninja hoods

My scout loadout is made specifically to look like the biggest douche possible. I have a sunbeams bombing run painted salmon pink to look like a literal dick, the fast learner painted australium gold, and the dictator. I also commonly pair it with the aussie force a nature, sandman, guillotine combo to annoy people even further. It's great.

Smith, you should do another series of videos discussing paints instead of hats. Like how Pink and Lime loadouts are common and annoying and how Black Paint loadouts are edgy and Purple is... Purple is not common. But... I am a Scout with a Backwards Ballcap, (That does not mean I am a tryhard, just most Scout's are.) And it triggers me that I have to wear the same hat as these Scunt's.
You forgotten the sub species to Scout mains, and I am not talking about the cancery themselves known as "Pink and Lime loadout Scunt's." I am talking about us Purple Scout's, most of us are a rare species, we are certainly not cancerous but we are usually very nice. We are very rare to come across, since Pink and Lime loadouts are everywhere. But not a lot of people know of our presence. It's too sad people will look at us like we as bad as the Pink and Lime Scunt's.
