- Learn to hand knit the garter stitch with chunky yarn. It’s a great pattern for beginners to learn.
Row 1 all knit
Row 2 all purl ( if you turn your work over, each row is all knit)
For baby blanket size I cast on 23- 30 inch width.
For Medium adult throw I cast on 28 for 40 inch width.

What did you use for the border of the blanket at the start of this video? Is there instructions for adding it? Love this stitch, thank you for sharing.
I can definitely make a video for adding a border. This one was a thinner fur yarn called fur the love yarn.
