Happy belated birthday Marion ! i was 41 (March of '23) when I had my first mammogram , I was more nervoud ot because I was concerned that it weas going find something, but just because it was my first time. I had my 2nd one this year, both went well all was normal. My exoeriences was similar to yours.
As always, you look terrific. Happy Birthday! 🎉 On the heath stuff: I’ve had to start getting mammograms when I was 35. Due to medications. To me they don’t hurt at all. The place that I go to actually let you control the pressure. They will ask you to get to a certain point and I actually thought it was going to be a lot more than it really was. My SIL tested positive for the gene along with one of my three nieces. My father-in-law also tested positive. The funny thing is he and I are both converts. We actually don’t know a lot of of his family’s history due to lost or missing adoption records. Even though my husband‘s father and sister tested positive. Our insurance company is denying testing for it for him and our daughter.
Also, Hanukkah is so late this year that I’m making a friends new year’s/ Hanukkah party! How fun, right……we have very few Jewish friends so they are very excited. I also love when Hanukkah is AFTER Christmas because sometimes I get better than Black Friday prices after the holiday! 🙌
I think every woman goes through all the same anxiety and fearfulness that you experienced just before you had your mammogram . I always planned something to look forward to after the ordeal was over. I always bought a new book, a n extra large coffee and went to the beach by myself to read and listen to the waves.🎉
Happy Birthday 🎂 I'm with you on the mammograms and dentist. I was at the doctor a couple of weeks ago and he asked if I wanted one and told him no. I have no issue about getting one done so I honestly don't know why I said no. They're not fun, but can treat something before any symptoms occur. I want anyone who's never had a mammogram before, eat before you go! One of my friends had one without eating and she passed out. They told her to eat before the test. BTW, loved your bd haul 😀
Happy birthday! I hated that first mammogram. I’ve had to have a lumpectomy at one point and all was fine but I was REALLY surprised last year when they told me I only have to go every 2 or 3 years now. WHATTTTT……. I’m 58 and I guess it is now recommended that women don’t need one every year! It makes no sense to me. What happened to early detection? Now to the dentist…… I’m sooooo with you on never going! I think it’s because when I was a very young child the dentist wouldn’t let my mom come back with me and I guess I bit him! He charged my mom 2x😂.
I'm glad that your screening was good. I think if your boobs are small, it's more painful. Myself and two of my boys have each had breast cancer, so, keep that in mind when your boys are a little older. They were diagnosed at age eleven and thirteen. I'm always telling people because nobody thinks about males getting breast cancer. Hope your birthday was fab. 🍾🎂🍾
Oh, bless you mama! I’m currently going through breast cancer and I can’t imagine having to do this with my children! You are so strong, and they are so fortunate to have you with them during such a challenging time!
Happy Belated Birthday Marion I cannot believe how long your hair has gotten, beautiful! My birthday is Saturday and I only ever need $$$ as renewing my license and tabs on my cars were $400! On social security it’s just not easy along with holidays. My first mammogram was with a nurse Ie friend from high school. Think how weird it is to have an old friend from school handle your naked boobs…..
Oh, Happy Birthday Marion. Please forgive me, I do not want to be a 'downer.' Love and appreciate your channel. The 'hauls' ..... well, suffice to say your CLOSET is much larger than my APARTMENT. We are not all in the economic stratosphere. Best wushes. Enjoy an extravagant Chanukah ... happy gregorian calendar new year. All the best.

Your obsession with your hair! Does that not drive your husband crazy? Do you just love it that much?
How rude...guess you have no nervous habits....still rude.
