Sublime. I wish Martin Turner and Andy Powell would put their differences behind them and reform the classic lineup with both Ted and Laurie, at least once before we all die!
The classic line-up was without Laurie, who replaced >Ted. ;-) No need for sentimental thoughts. No need for reunion. Powell kept the band alive. Martin left, because he didn´t believe any longer in the band.
@@hofla7777 I did not suggest Laurie was with the classic lineup, but that he could play with this lineup (as Ted and Laurie played together with Martin's band). My thoughts are irrespective of need.
No smoke without fire is wishbone ashs best album since argus this Is where Laurie wisefield and Andy Powell deliver some of their best twin guitar attacks on this dynamite track also stand and deliver and you see red are killer songs on this album to
Wow !!! That’s the 1st time I’ve ever heard that. Familiar with their earlier material but THAT song was just thoroughly blistering, especially part 2. These guys never cease to amaze me. Gotta get that one.
For years , I only had their first three albums .....then I finally explored their later material ....and it contained a lot of outstanding stuff ....such as this masterpiece .
@adamdeex-eq9rj Wishbone Ash is easily one of the most overlooked prog band ever. They had a uniquely, diversified style of music. If you'd like, check out the New England album from 1976.
It is quite strange I have had this Album for at least 15 years but I never really listened to it properly and fully appreciated it till recently, This is world class classic Rock right here..... 'Like a Child' just totally blew me away.
The music of WA accompanied us in endless evenings in open-air camps in numerous field explorations among great friends of this transcendental music. Even now it makes me vibrate
Exactly; I always said so; Oscon Cartreras is dumb wrong; en el Tianguis del Chopo de la ciudad de Mex. at least 70% of rockers know what the Wishbone Ash tastes like. De que rancho sera este sayo?.
Klasse Zeiten, tolle Bands, super Musik mit geilem Gitarrensound; good times, top Bands, super Music with great Guitar sound - get up in smoke... LuckyLuciano
Man what a cool song , , saw them with Climax Blues Band and B.T.O. at the Paramount theater Seattle in the early 70s i will never forget it Amazing show
Magic song. Very underrated album. The trio of albums No Smoke.., Just Testing and Number the Brave were a return to form but I believe the last great albums until 1989 after which the trio of Hear to Hear, Strange Affair and Illuminations were strong. Bone Fide to the Present Coat of Arms have all been good albums. Amazing how Andy's kept it going but what do you expect from a 'Stow lad (Walthamstow)
ARRRRH….The Laurie Wisefield era. If there had to be a replacement for the brilliant Ted Turner then it had to be Laurie. Followed this band from my Art School days back in the late '60's - just didn't seem the same when Laurie left, and Steve and Martin....
Oscar don't mess around writing down or talking crap. Who do you socialise anyway? Los Tecolines? or you hang around with 80,s and 90,s kids? Real mexican rock fans are hardcore (at least those from the 70,s and 80's) regarding rock music knowledge. I challenge you to find and listen to the -HOTwishbone ashLIVE- album. NO SABEMOS, ADIO!!
To "jesus" you made a big generalization here. I have met and know MANY Latinos and they predominantly like Latin stuff, and mostly totally unaware of British music.
The spirits have told me a grandfather clock will fall on your head and everything you thought was important will be called into question on your hospital bed.
Best music ever what talented people I'm 70 years old now and I love this band 😊❤
Me too. Respect
Gracias por estar aquí ahora presente
Sublime. I wish Martin Turner and Andy Powell would put their differences behind them and reform the classic lineup with both Ted and Laurie, at least once before we all die!
Do not forget the brilliant Steve Upton on drums.....
I so agree please blokes get to together and cook real hard

Saw them in the mid seventies in Illinois. They were a replacement band for Yes who had cancelled. I quickly forgot Yes was even supposed to be there.

One of the standout tracks on an incredibly good album.

The music of WA accompanied us in endless evenings in open-air camps in numerous field explorations among great friends of this transcendental music. Even now it makes me vibrate
Many of us in Mexico worship Wishbone Ash's early work, particularly the Argus album. We've been followers since the 70's.

You are not alone , many new Wishbone Ash fans coming on board . My favorite album is # 5 ' There's the Rub ' .

I don't know, wisefield is a prick, but some of my favorite tunes from this time.
Still kicking myself for missing them on their first US tour . They played at the old Filmore Auditorium , and blew those hippies into the weeds !
