Thank you so much for this! My needle threader doesn't work anymore and I put off taking to a repair shop because of cost. I'm not sure if it needs replaced or if it's out of alignment. You have given me the confidence to fix it myself.
Singer is doing our life difficult. I have the same problem, got to repair and they told me, no, no spare part for that. In singer shop. I believe. Today i just found out there’s replacement. Going to order one now. Thank you.
Thank you for your videos. I have that machine. When I purchased it i loved the idea of it.. However the truth is I hate it!!! I wish I could afford to get the Bernina or Janome. I learned to sew on an old Morse and Older singer they were the best. I'd trade this singer in for one of those in a heart beat. I have replaced the bobbin case and need to replace it again... grrrrr Those plastic pieces are just awful.I learned how to fix the bobbin case from you thanks again
Hey, thank you for the heads up. Do you have any ideas on how to repair a problem with the bobbin area and creating birdsnests? I just got a Quintet second hand and got it all set up, but as soon as I start to stitch out a design, she clogs up. Doesn't seem to matter if I change the thread out or the speed at what she's stitching at. Any advice / ideas on where to start would be helpful if you know!
Singer has not been Singer in so many years. What was Singer sold out a long time ago to their more profitable space business. After that the company went though bankruptcy a few times, then the company was bought by who knows who, and it's sold as their LOW end trash!!! I have put that little piece on a number of machines. Singer used a couple sizes of shafts, and the aftermarket that makes the new part, makes it to fit the smallest shaft, so you can do just what you did to fix the other size shaft!!
How about a video on how to adjust the needle threader?

What would you do if the needle threader doesn't come off
i agree, i need to know how to fix and have a walk through as to how to fix the auto threader.
Just got a Futura and the automatic threader is hitting the needle bar from day one. The bloke bit is the same height as the needle bar
Be sure to take it back to your dealer where you bought it so they can fix or replace it.
Can you do a video with the procedures from the start. Thanks in advance
No, it is already fixed. I do not plan on taking it apart again. Please visit your Singer sewing machine dealer so they can help you.

Take it to your local sewing machine dealer for servicing. You bought it 2nd hand so you do not know its history and what issues it may have.
