    Did you end up doing a tutorial on how to do your first embroidery project with it? I am looking to start some in the hoop projects and just not super comfortable jumping in on my own! I would love to see how you did the owl!

    I have this exact machine. I've been using it over a year, almost daily. I love this machine! Recently my machine will run a few stitches and stop saying the top thread is broken. It is not. I replaced the needle and the bobbin case. I clean it all the time. I took it to the shop thinking it was a broken spring and they fixed the spring and did a full service. the 1st 2 days it would run thick thread, but did the same thing with thinner thread. Now it's back to doing a few stiches and stopping again, with all thread. Has anyone had this happen? If so, what ever fixed the problem?

      Hello Jackie. I did all my videos several years ago. My parents moved here with me on the ranch and I just don't have the time anymore. They are 93 & 92 now and I am enjoying them so much. Some day I may pick up sewing, quilting & embroidering and the videos for each. Thank you for your question and have a blessed day.

    I can t complete a design without a blob of thread clogging up in the bottom. I have to completely remove the silver plate that houses the bobbin and pull out all the notted up thread. What am I doing wrong? If you don't mind helping me. I cant find anybody to ask questions about my machine. Thank you very much for any help. Belinda

      Oh no, Belinda! That has to be very frustrating! I'm sorry I have been away from my computer for a few days and I'm just now seeing your inquiry. I will try to help or get you to someone who can. I think the easiest things first.... (1) Have you recently changes your needle? If you have, your needle is probably in backwards. That is the most likely problem. If that's not it, here is the phone number for the fastest support issues. 1-800-474-6437 Good luck on finding a fast fix!

    HELP!! I can not find the solution to my problem anywhere =( While embroidering, I keep getting an error message that says "Machine is locked up due to thread entangled with bobbin case or rotation interrupted forcibly". There is nothing entangled in the bobbin case, I have dusted and cleaned well including the feed dogs. But my machine still stops every few stitches during embroidery with this error. Have you ever encountered this problem and do you have a solution!? Thank you!

    • @Praguecowgirl
      @Praguecowgirl  8 років тому

      Hello Michelle. I know how frustrating that must be! No, I haven't had this happen before, but I will try to give you a couple of suggestions. First, if you haven't cleaned beneath the bobbin case you can remove it using the instructions on page 56. If that hasn't worked, I would try changing the needle just in case it is slightly bent. (If you have broken a needle recently, be sure you found the broken tip). I still think there is a piece of fabric or thread wedged somewhere under the bobbin case. If all fails, you may need to phone Singer at 1-800-4-SINGER (1-800-474-6437) Monday - Friday, 8 am to 8 pm & Saturday, 8 am to 2 pm (Central time). I have had to phone them a couple of times and find the ladies there to know EVERYTHING about the 6700! Also, their support center is located right here in the US. I'm sorry I can not be more helpful, I hate it when something so small causes so much trouble!!

    HELP !!!!!!!!!!! for some reason my needle will NOT go down it keeps stopping when it hits the black bobbin plastic case it works great as long as I turn my wheel backwards and then forward but as I try to turn again the whole chamber **bobbin case** starts to jump out WHAT IN THE WORLD can some body PLEASEEEEEE tell me what the means some one told me it could the timing my first embroidery machine ever looking DUM FOUND

    • @Praguecowgirl
      @Praguecowgirl  8 років тому

      +Eunice Rogers No, Eunice, I'm sure it's not your timing. It sounds like your bobbin case has just dislodged from it's seated place, or your needle is possibly bent or not screwed in tight. There are several possible simple fixes but all can be talked through right over the phone. You can go through all the support files on the Singer.com website but it's way easier to phone them. You will be able to speak to a support member very easily by phoning 1-800-4-SINGER (1-800-474-6437) Monday - Friday, 8 am to 8 pm & Saturday, 8 am to 2 pm (Central time). They are super helpful and are located here in the USA. I will check back here if you need me, maybe you can still phone them tonight. : )

      @@Praguecowgirl it could lu that your needle is in backward or it could be that there is a buildup of lint in your bobbin case.

    Lately my thread is constantly popping...please tell me how to fix it please!!!

    • @Praguecowgirl
      @Praguecowgirl  9 років тому

      hairandmakeupme Hello new friend. Here are some reasons that I know of that you might check. If it happens while embroidering, be sure you are using 60 wt bobbin thread. For all types of sewing, when dropping your bobbin in, you should be holding the bobbin in your right hand and the thread is on the TOP going out to your left thumb and index finger. If the thread is on the bottom it won't feed right. The next thing to check is to be sure you don't have a bunch of lint or little broken threads behind the bobbin holder. Just take the little brush and reach it in behind the empty bobbin holder to swish around. If you get a lot of lint out look at page 56 of your manual for cleaning. Next thing to check is take your top thread completely out and off. Be sure the spool is put onto the spindle correctly: The tiny slit in the spool end HAS to be slid onto the spindle first (toward the off/on switch end of your machine. Your thread can get caught in that slit as you sew and it will definitely "pop" when it catches in that slit. Next re-thread according to the arrows on your machine. ( If this has just started to happen, I'm sure you have always threaded the same way so this is probably not the problem.) Next, be sure the flat part of the needle is to the back. Unscrew the needle screw and check to be sure it's right and up completely. Oh, and another thing be sure your bobbins are the exact ones that are recommended for this machine. They are the the Singer 15-J size and those are the only ones that will work right. And the last thing I can think of is never fill a bobbin that already has some thread on it. The thread can slip and have slack/tight components that are there but you can't really tell by looking at it. Now....let me think....yep, that's about all of the problems I can think of. Try to use a good brand of thread. Most are fine as long as they aren't in the "real cheap" bin. If you have tried all these things and it still happens, the Singer customer service is one-on-one help, with people that live here in the U.S. and they are great! their number is 1-800-4-SINGER.

      ***** Sorry it took so long to get back to you I had trouble getting one of my screws open on machine to the slide plate to check and see if I had and fabric or thread etc. stuck under there. So good news nothing but a little dust which I cleaned out what I can. Thank you so much for your suggestions and tips and because of you I found my issue...it was the needle, it was on backwards now I'm back to sewing woo!!! hoo!!! xXx (^_^)
      P.S. Can you please do a step by step tutorials on embroidering and appliques Please!!!! ;)

    • @Praguecowgirl
      @Praguecowgirl  9 років тому

      Yea!!! I was going to get back with you because I thought of something else it could have been. lol I am going to do the embroidery and applique tomorrow. I have been setting my 89 year old dad & mom up in a little internet business. lol I asked my dad to make me a quilt ruler organizer and it was so great I told him to make some for my quilt guild ladies and it also went over well so I put him in an Etsy store and a facebook page. If you would like to see it, he is Tom's Wood Shop on facebook. I have been showing mom and dad how to receive orders online and do shipping labels, etc. lol They sold 75 in 2 days. So I am back home now and I will do the first part tomorrow. I love doing the appliques best! I will talk to you tomorrow when I get the first one up. By the way, what is your name?
