Delicious and very elegant! I love to grill fish, also for breakfast. Mackerel is also good and cheap. Nowadays it is easy to find all kinds of miso, mirin etc in Europe. When I lived in Fukuoka I bought several knives including a long yanagi knife, sharpened on one side, the others more all purpose. Got them in the Hakata Kikuhide shop by Reisen park and their blacksmith workshop is in the yard behind. Recommended if you visit Fukuoka. Arigato!

one way to prevent cutting too deeply with the daikon is to place chopsticks on both ends to keep the knife from going too far, please use disposable chopsticks as this will damage any good chopsticks you may have.
