Great stuff...love the Taos Indian photos. I would have never picked up on that nanny photo. I have found amazing photos in the past. My better ones were sold to auction house curators begging for Presidential stuff...lol. I ran into some great larger Cabinet Photos of China street scenes, people, children as well as cabinet size railroad photos.....I love old photos.
I have a cdv photo of George Washingtom found it in an old photo album from 1860..On the back of the photo says H Ball Walpole NH I need info on where to get it appraised.
I once purchased photos that were taken and signed by Barry goldwater. One was an Indian chief and 2 were landscape like Ansel Adams. I found out that they knew each other!
I haven't found any pics that nice yet but I'm always on the lookout. I think most of the old pictures I sell are in the $20 - $60 range, but as you've pointed out before they are cheap when you can buy bulk and easy to list.
My favorite person to follow is Jack at Thanatos Archive. He has purchased several of my photos in the past and has one of the best collections I have ever seen.
Okay, woke up to Yet ANOTHER EBAY DEBACLE!! Waiting your update on the situation. Listings were changed with a format change through eBay on my phone and cannot even fix them at this point. Brands changed and I am sure other things as well. What the HECK! Thanks for the vid!
Excellent vid and interesting info. I noticed the rosy cheeks on the man’s face at 7:05. I have a tintype with a tinted rosy cheeked woman (and white painted buttons). Was it common for them to add color to tintypes?
I have old photos that I enjoy displaying in my home. The room has no sunlight. Do you know if LED or incandescent lighting can damage photos over time?
