I know you’re disappointed Josh but in my opinion this is making great UA-cam content. It’s interesting seeing how things work up there. Thanks for sharing!
Josh, I understand your grief, but it is better to be onshore wishing you are on the water, rather than on the water praying you are on the shore. You are in a protected bay, in the community, that is why it looks so good. The air strip is on the other side of the community from your location at the ferry landing. Best wishes from Thompson.
I love it when Josh sits in his truck and talks to us! He used to stay overnight at truckstops and he would sit in the sleeper and talk to us I used to love that!! It always looks so cozy back there I used to think that would be like camping!!
Hey Trucker Josh... think of all the great stories you can tell your children about the time you were stranded because of no ferry service and stormy weather. With the moral of your story to your children should be; always be prepared with warm clothing, extra food and a positive attitude. However, I do feel your frustration and glad you're keeping as positive as possible.
Josh, you know exactly why you accepted this load . 1: you never been and wanted to go,2: good content hopefully more views . you'll be okay, consider this as a reset and work maybe a longer route during the weekend if you need it
Well if it's any consolation to you Josh, Australia got hit with lots of rain and floods this spring, and yesterday we had snowfalls in the mountains, very rare for late October. It looks like this weather pattern will be with us for the rest of this year. So far not too much sun here either. Take care.
Cute little community. At least ya were able to get some walking in! And you made a new friend! Looked like he was taking you on the grand tour! Lol. I'm so not ready for the snow. Soooo not ready for the snow. Blah.
The weather snuck up and got alaska .just like you.7 inches is what they are supose to get. We got 4 inches of snow where i live. Snuggle up keep keep ol blue warm I agree we had 9 months of winter.
That’s got to be stranded unexpectedly! Hope your company can provide some form of compensation to offset some of the lost earnings for the week. Drive safe when you finally get going.
It sucks you are stranded, and now stranded for another day, dang. I am glad you have text ability nearby. That was a beautiful husky you met. Sorry you are losing money by just sitting there. Glad you can now use your cell phone by/on the ferry. I hope you are keeping warm, and I hope you are able to leave tomorrow.
And here you just wanted to earn some extra money! Keeping a positive attitude, I admire that. And let's be honest, it's better than being stuck in some random truck stop in Wisconsin or something.
I feel for you Josh. I hope you can get moving tomorrow. You couldn't have known when you accepted this load that you would be stranded in the inclement weather. You have taught us well with what to expect while being a truck driver. If this is the worst that could happen, then we should count our blessings that we will have better days ahead of us. So glad you are able to keep warm, sleep, eat, & walk out for a signal. Evan the Huskie loves Trucker Josh!🍂🍁🎃🧛❤🙏🎃🍁🍂
Wow Josh that sucks mate you,re stuck,in all my years in trucks i never drove in that kind of weather or so remote, hopefully you get out soon and back to Britt,we don,t get that cold here in Australia,s tropical north in fact it,s in the high 30,s celcius today the aircon is cranked up,stay safe mate looking forward to more videos
Where I live in South Carolina its between 75 and 80 degrees, sorry about your terrible weather. Here we have a cool season about 2 1/2 months ,at night it might fall tobelow freezing 32 and warm to the 40s or 50s. By March its spring once again.
Josh, Here in Wisconsin USA, the northern half got snow while the southern half (where I live) is snow free for now. Temps are mild (60 degrees F) then the cold comes, but no snow in the forecast, yet.
I feel for you Josh, i've been fed a steady diet of Newfoundland loads out of Steinbach last couple of months and have to ferry to labrador for 1 delivery every trip and the crossing costs me an extra day sometimes two days and i'm not earning while i wait either ,i get very frustrated with the whole situation as well.
lol thats not north. go to the ice roads in nwt/Nunavut. thats just wet snow that sticks into treads. just send it peddle to the metal and plow on keep the wheels turning and dont go too fast and keeper upright. safe travels
Awe man , what an introduction to winter 2022 🤨. Bad enough to be stranded and losing out on work and time at home, but you’re literally stranded in the middle of nowhere. Clearly the big guy upstairs is testing your resolve. Better luck tomorrow Josh 🤙
Here in Australia ( Queensland ) I can definitely agree with you.......our summers are too long and I for one would absolutely trade some of our summer if we can get some of that winter. My 9yr old daughter has never seen snow.
Not sure what the company is paying you for this load trucker Josh but I would say they need to pay you at least five grand for that load in snowy weather or at least give you $1,000 a day for detention or something like that when the river freezes over I would love to see a big semi drive across a frozen River like they do on the ice road I'm not sure if it's Canada or something!
Bugga Josh see the ferry guy was right it’s gunna snow a fair bit hope you get to the other side but remember don’t pay the ferry man till he gets u to the other side
It is not uncommon to have snow on the ground in Winnipeg by Halloween and sometimes it says there till March of the following year. November is a month that gets snow. Snow does not follow the calendar per se.
Hey Josh - a very unfortunate situation indeed but as always you taught me and showed me what patience is all about - I could the understandable frustration build in you and was reminded of the tattoo you got with palm trees - lol, no more needs to be said lol. All the best buddy, cheers
Ok, we see the Vlog. That means you've passed the lake on the ferry. Nice. As a captain, I can say that rough weather is a reason to stay in the harbour. Visibility is not! In the year 2022, we have GPS, Radar and even Echolot. So for me that sounds redicoulus. However, have a save trip.
Went to Oregon for breakfast this morning, a car was in the parking lot with Alberta plates. I laughed and thought of them fleeing the snow to come here! Been asking for a road forever? That $30K for 5 days of hotels in London for fancy sox would be a good start on a road.
Opps We too miss our medical appt in WPG Northern weather is unpredictable...its the way it is!!! Sorry northern trips sucked 4 u and well just take road trips no boats.....remember...the Ocean!! Cool "Ernest Monias " on TJV...LOL!!!
That sucks being stuck anywhere especially with no cell service or wi-fi, no youtube, no FB, no TicToc oh my. Well at least we know you made it back to be able to upload this vlog.
Great videos! They rank up there with your trips to Newfoundland and the trip to Yukon with Britt. I hope that you get a lot of views of these and that extra revenue will help to offset lost income from missing other loads. Keep safe!
Things must get pretty tough up there during the transitional periods when the lake is frozen but the ice is too thin and the ground is too soggy to use the ice road.
Hi CANADIAN half the year is Snow and the other half is mosquitoes that’s something to love , I saw the husky great that’s my temp he said , I’m feeling good, wow cancel I don’t think you wanna do many travel down there during the winter. Great video. Stay safe. From Huntington Beach California. I agree make sure you fully prepare it’s winter food fuel and everything you need you just never know.
I was literally saying to myself why did you take this load right as he said to himself why did he take this load... That weather sucks big time right now I'm sitting in Arkansas and it's 17 Celsius and I was complaining today because it took me 4 hours to get loaded... things could be worse
Hey man big fan down here in iowa USA , you might check into a small Honda generator and a space heater to save fuel. Just a thought. Keep the hammer down friend
Hey Josh, Great video man. It’s interesting to see how different the weather is over the compared to us in the United Kingdom. Love your content though. Keep up the good work 🤙
And it’s out of your hands man. Enjoy it, sometimes experiences is worth more then some bucks. Yeah hurts your pocket a bit but you’ll survive. Go sight see, enjoy your time.
That'll learn ya to take them special loads. When dispatch says "have I got a deal for you", I run the other way.
We had a saying in the Navy, "Never Again Volunteer Yourself."
I know you’re disappointed Josh but in my opinion this is making great UA-cam content. It’s interesting seeing how things work up there. Thanks for sharing!
Well dang , its really early in the season to be stranded because of snow!! ❄☃
Josh, I understand your grief, but it is better to be onshore wishing you are on the water, rather than on the water praying you are on the shore. You are in a protected bay, in the community, that is why it looks so good.
The air strip is on the other side of the community from your location at the ferry landing.

Welcome to the world of trucking. Every day is an Adventure. 😁
King of The North Ernest Monias playing on da local radio station ❤❤❤.
I love it when Josh sits in his truck and talks to us! He used to stay overnight at truckstops and he would sit in the sleeper and talk to us I used to love that!! It always looks so cozy back there I used to think that would be like camping!!
you got that pretty right. It kind of IS like camping. In a luxureous tent or simple RV.
That husky was B’gorgous!
Another adventure for you
Lots of love to you, Brit, baby G and the puppies
I have been following it for many years and it is always interesting. Thank you, regards from Argentina.
The Husky could smell his lord Diesel weasel and wanted to walk with you.
Stranded on hwy 11 near Jellicoe for 2 days. 2300km away from home. Completely understand that frustration.
And I cry about the 40s.
Going to be 26 degrees C down here Sydney Australia. Nice fine day after weeks of rain
I feel for you Josh, stuck and not earning, fingers crossed you’ll get moving in the morning and have a clear run back🤞
Yeah, in the north! But I'm proud of you man! You're not editing out your disappointment.
Hey Trucker Josh... think of all the great stories you can tell your children about the time you were stranded because of no ferry service and stormy weather. With the moral of your story to your children should be; always be prepared with warm clothing, extra food and a positive attitude. Spend $ right here & not you know where ! Stranded but made a great adventure Vlog - Good one Josh
Nice edit. Enjoyed the music. Fun video. Thanks for sharing.

Not lying, I literally just finished watching the last video haha
Got to love the life of being a trucker josh diesel missed out meeting him a new friend on the road
Just remember the community appreciate you bringing the supplies .
Love your furry friend you met
Josh, you know exactly why you accepted this load . 1: you never been and wanted to go,2: good content hopefully more views . you'll be okay, consider this as a reset and work maybe a longer route during the weekend if you need it
Another one !!! Great content my brother from the north !! Keep it up Mr Josh !! Stay safe out there brother man 🇿🇦
When the Ford was stuck and the Dodge was struggling to pull it out you could see the Chevy watching from down the hill just in case he was needed 😂
You should get a stranded pay. The town up there should pay you.
I like your new husky friend!
Well if it's any consolation to you Josh, Australia got hit with lots of rain and floods this spring, and yesterday we had snowfalls in the mountains, very rare for late October. It looks like this weather pattern will be with us for the rest of this year. So far not too much sun here either. Take care.
La Nina, for the third year in a row. Strange new pattern.
Cute little community. At least ya were able to get some walking in! And you made a new friend! Looked like he was taking you on the grand tour! Lol. I'm so not ready for the snow. Soooo not ready for the snow. Blah.
Funniest Canadian 😂
Great video, Ol’ Blue looks awesome in the snow, safe travels 🇺🇸🇨🇦
Hahaha Josh!! I'm a Canadian(Edm and Calgary) living in Perth Australia. Sorry we only give up 3 months of sun during our winter June - Aug.
Yup, the first snow is always the worst, ground is warm and soft and the snow is wet and slippery.
I knew a trucker from Manitoba that had a small generator set up on the back to run to give heat and plug the truck in
On the bright side, it will eventually be summer. Its not like you will never get out of there.
I feel for you man , that sucks. At least you have food and are warm I guess. Glad you got a signal near the the ferry. Stay safe
Thank you for sending the sun back it’s nice
Been in the Navy for 20yrs that's calm for some of the seas I've seen.
I'll bet it was tempting to take that Husky with you. Heehee. He was so cool!
It was!
Glad to be sitting in Florida right now 80 degrees today never know in trucking
The weather snuck up and got alaska .just like you.7 inches is what they are supose to get. We got 4 inches of snow where i live. Snuggle up keep keep ol blue warm
I agree we had 9 months of winter.
Seattle ferry operates in the fog all the time on the sound. (the Bremerton ferry operates in the fog on a narrow channel) The need a better ferry.
Dane here. That's why we appreciate summer more.
Hi, Josh Twisty is waiting for you in Watson lake, I would love to see you guys together again. 😍😍
Great music today Josh !
Wow! Good luck in getting home soon and safe.
I remember a buddy of mine was stuck on the ferry to Newfoundland for 24 hours circling the bay because of heavy snowfall
From what I read, that ferry is stopping operation for the year Oct 31st. Hoping your on the otherside!
Oof Da! I’m down here in Grand Forks and thankful to see none here yet.
Beautiful scenery sorry mother nature has other plans for you during that week keep the vlogs coming it is great you can stay positive though this.
That’s got to be stranded unexpectedly! Hope your company can provide some form of compensation to offset some of the lost earnings for the week. Drive safe when you finally get going.
I drive a trip bus for a school district and charter trips. I've learned when to say no thanks too.
It sucks you are stranded, and now stranded for another day, dang. I am glad you have text ability nearby. That was a beautiful husky you met. Sorry you are losing money by just sitting there. This is why I work 6 months on and 6 off and live simple. Love your content thought :)

Would love to see you take a load up there in January when the lake is frozen over and you can drive over the lake. Ice road trucker Josh.
Call home ET!
You definitely wouldn't do well in BC if you don't like ferries, that's why when I was line hauling I kept a large collection of movies
That is why you pack extra groceries.
Bugga Josh see the ferry guy was right it’s gunna snow a fair bit hope you get to the other side but remember don’t pay the ferry man till he gets u to the other side

Hey Trucker josh, Are you from manitoba? Im from winnipeg. Hope someday i can catch you in the highway.
Ok, we see the Vlog. That means you've passed the lake on the ferry. Nice.

OMG is North of Thompson!
I like the corb Lund reference ya did
Went to Oregon for breakfast this morning, a car was in the parking lot with Alberta plates. I laughed and thought of them fleeing the snow to come here! Been asking for a road forever? That $30K for 5 days of hotels in London for fancy sox would be a good start on a road.
hey josh why don't you put the same looking stacks but taller and would u put a cat motor that rolls coal that would fully complete old blue
Opps
We too miss our medical appt in WPG
Northern weather is unpredictable...its the way it is!!!
Sorry northern trips sucked 4 u and well just take road trips no boats.....remember...the Ocean!!
Cool "Ernest Monias " on TJV...LOL!!!
When it was easy everybody could do this. And in Two months it is x-mas.🌲🚚💡💡💡
Atleast your not in Moose Factory ! Lol, take off ,HEY !
That sucks being stuck anywhere especially with no cell service or wi-fi, no youtube, no FB, no TicToc oh my.
Well at least we know you made it back to be able to upload this vlog.
Josh gets the center of attention you got them walking treat's in job
Great videos! They rank up there with your trips to Newfoundland and the trip to Yukon with Britt. I hope that you get a lot of views of these and that extra revenue will help to offset lost income from missing other loads. Keep safe!
It looks like you're at York Landing rather than York Factory. Or maybe York Landing is in the larger community of York Factory?
It is sometimes referred to as York Landing but it is still York Factory.
Things must get pretty tough up there during the transitional periods when the lake is frozen but the ice is too thin and the ground is too soggy to use the ice road.

I guess the positive is that you can sit, wait and relax, but I could see that getting boring pretty quick.
I guess you should only ever accept a load like this again when there is an open ice road to use.
Hey man big fan down here in iowa USA , you might check into a small Honda generator and a space heater to save fuel. Just a thought. Keep the hammer down friend
When your only method to get to other side gets cancelled due to snow in a part of the world that snows a lot seems like a shambles
Ernest moonias ita called one of his songs. Lol.
I'd go to the restaurant and have a cold beer.😀 I don't how i could make it with out cell service or internet.
snow times ferry not a fun game to play, do i hurry up and wait or wait and maybe miss my time get get aboad the ship.
Beautiful Rez Dog. 😁
Hey Josh,
Great video man. It’s interesting to see how different the weather is over the compared to us in the United Kingdom. Love your content though. Keep up the good work 🤙
I'm sorry you had weather issues in October! I'm guessing they have this run (truck run) all year around. My recommendation an apu. For your semi.
And it’s out of your hands man. Enjoy it, sometimes experiences is worth more then some bucks. Yeah hurts your pocket a bit but you’ll survive. Go sight see, enjoy your time.
