That storm was nasty in Wisconsin. We drove 40 miles to my husband's cancer doctor appointment and the roads were slick. Three cars buried axel high in the ditch and a jack knifed semi. No one injured I am thinking. Just tow trucks and a rotator for the big rig. Made it home safe and had to do 2 hours of snow blowing due to wet and heavy snow (slushy snow under top layer). Glad to know you made it home safe as well. Keep that rubber on the road between those road edges. God Bless.
We have the same manac trailers and hook straps on the rub rail because there is no strap bar welded on the frame underneath. Every trailer should have that bar welded on underneath
Almost forgot but for cheap lights i nornally run some clear silicone around the edge of the lens to make it more waterproof cause i dont trust the stuff they use from the factory easiest stuff to use is the grilla clear silicone tube so far been using the lights with it for months and no moisture in them just something u may wanna do to the ones i got u to make sure they dont get moisture inside over time and i may send u some more i didnt know u had 4 🤔
The fact that the marker lights aren't burning out evenly, but one on one side, the other on the top, is so frustrating my OCD and is totally not shocking. Also, watching you spend so much time in the cold made me cold.
12/19/2022 there was a 4 axles heavy duty wrecker with chains on tires for the icey roads backing down my lane the propane delivery truck was hit & stuck To! oh what fun!
Love that gearstick looks like about a foot between odds and evens ,wonder how long the linkages last before you get the lolly stick in a dustbin affect
Thanks for another entertaining and informative vlog, you're never too old to learn something new. I must say you still sound a bit squiffy, an English word implying that you may have a slight blockage in your shwangle valve. 🤣🤣
This sounds a bit nuts but hear me out. They should have a transit board where 4 wheelers and semis can connect. Instead of a no-load going back you could load up a couple of 4 wheelers on your flatbed for the extra weight, they'd save gas and wear on their trip. You might meet a new friend or two. You'd have to invite strangers to your cab and keep your place clean though. LUL It is an idea though.
Love your explanation for the rubrail......i am learning so much about trucks and trucking.....i appreciate truckers so much more......eventhough there are some truckers who do not follow the safety codes.....you are definately not one of them......Love your vlogs.
I know what you mean, I'm a two and four wheeler and notice how I ride/drive around trucks these days. A trucker has enough to think about without me adding to the long list of risks he/she has to deal with.
I'm still watching and thanks for letting us pat ourselves on the back for watching you on this vlog. LOL Thanks again and drive carefully in the snow.
hello i just found your channel and subscribed. here in north Carolina we have D.M.V cops that constantly pull over big rigs and dump trucks all the time. here it is terrible to be a big rig driver
We got 10" of snow here at my house in International Falls Mn. I would guess it's all part of the same storm. Warm for now but cold next week. Nice video, stay safe.
Someone really thought a trailer needs pertection 🤣 sorry but i dont drive a truck but its common sense that on a flatbed the rail on the sides is to pertect the straps if it was to pertect a trailer y do vans and stuff not have them and whoever said they r for pertection is the ones who put straps over them 😑 and ur looking a little blue at the end r u feeling ok 🤣🤣
Thank you for telling me about the straps it was a good information thing not that I ever do it but yet I have not driven a big rig for 50 years but still I do all of those and excavators and everything else and thank you for the knowledge I learned something everyday if you're not human and you're not paying attention that means you're not learning something everyday I just really thank you I do all loads big loads but it's just excavator etc etc and blah blah blah I just appreciate everything you taught me along with everybody else on UA-cam and if anybody can't say nothing nice they shouldn't say anything at all you spend a lot of time to make these videos to teach people and I respect that and I understand that and thank you so much from California well I guess they didn't want to put my name in tell him ever from California
With the road conditions I couldn't believe people were passing you, the guy in front of you, & the truck in front of them. When your this close to home do you stop & say hi to Brit? Just wondered. Goodnight Josh.
Thanks for this vlog. For me it is one of your best. Loads of content (pun intended) that showed a very full day in the life of Trucker Josh. Take really good care of yourself. Safe journeys.
My company is always harassing me to become a trainer. I always say no because it wouldn't be fair to my dog or trainee. But more and more I don't think I want to because people don't have common sense anymore. It shocks me how many trailers I see with there straps on the outside of the rub rails and I'm a dry van never did flatbed.
I can't stand having a light out, it drives me nuts. All the lights have to be working and all the LED's in each light have to be working...........OCD much.
It’s enough that if I was a driver, I wouldn’t want to take it so I’d be putting my straps inside the rub rail because I don’t have the money to pay a ticket and I wouldn’t want to
Yes my wife lives her ex-wife lives in Edmonton Canada and I brought her down here and she hopefully watches your shows because you're two days behind me and I didn't know anything didn't know so much about Canada until now with you and trucker Ray and life with living off grave with Jake and Nicole and blah blah blah anyway who cares but yeah I didn't know that much about Canada I wish I would have had UA-cam and everything when I was married to my wife that was from Canada and always ask her what's that Maple Leaf for or an oak leaf and now I know what a toque is oh the little hat on your head you called a toque I don't know it's called a beanie in California anyway I know I know about all you Canadians and quick dick mcdick he's a good guy hopefully you watch his UA-cam channels he's my main guy I've watched every video and everybody in Canada should watch it
Have faith in your horse and he will bring you back to glory and treasure.
Trucker Josh, you are a model for young drivers to learn from. Thank you for your thorough explanation and tedious work ethic. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the ride. Glad you were driving.
One thing we can say you do know how to do the mad minute.
Keep on truckin in the free world
Some good entertainment while sitting in my truck doing a reset in northern NB. Happy Santa day Josh.
He's 1000% correct
Use old school chains no problem they'll hold more too and faster
I totally agree with not letting the internet know exactly where you are. Keep the clean side up!

Of course I am still watching. How else would I have learned about rub rails!
Thanks Josh, another great and informative video!

Jogging Trucker No Dog Vlog!
Some companies are really good at putting up directional signage. Others not so good.

Good explanation of the purpose of the Rub Rail.

After 22 yrs of holding the wheel, I'm still yelling at 4 wheelers. Safe trip Josh.
LOL, yea, there are sure some out there that deserve to get yelled at
I'm not even a big rig driver, just a van/ car person, but I also yell at other fourwheelers that can't drive. :)
I love your videos be safe out there
Enjoying your videos while on vacation in Philippines. Visiting from Houston, TX. My wife and I can’t miss Trucker Josh Vlogs!
Just found you a few days ago. Great segments - excellent video/audio - very interesting and informative. Thank you!
I'm still watching and thanks for letting us pat ourselves on the back for watching you on this vlog. LOL Thanks again and drive carefully in the snow.
Great stuff Josh an entertainer and educator 👍👏
Your right Josh about the straps inside the rub rails. Gotta keep that load secure.
hello i just found your channel and subscribed. here in north Carolina we have D.M.V cops that constantly pull over big rigs and dump trucks all the time. here it is terrible to be a big rig driver
You know Josh I watch you since your first video you’re one of the reasons why I went truck driving for while I’m out of it I do miss it a lot
Josh was an inspiration for me to start trucking as well. Loving it wouldn’t trade it for anything.
@@Pokerhead1776 yep, I watched a lot of Josh's videos before I became a UA-cam Trucker too
We got 10" of snow here at my house in International Falls Mn. I would guess it's all part of the same storm. Warm for now but cold next week. Nice video, stay safe.
Good luck finding a road that is bare and dry in Minnesota.
nice
Thanks for sharing Josh. I know nothing about the trucking life, but sure learn a lot from your vlogs
Auto Liked as usual. Great content for Northern drivers alike. -Sudbury
Great job trucker Josh
The edge of the rub rail will cut the straps if you run the straps over the rail.
glad too see part of our mine i have not been out in ages :) hello josh im from thompson i posted on last video but dont know if you seen it :)

Josh your video even said how to do the straps
I feel cold just when I see Joshua's window open at the semi-truck :))

I do, Everyday
I think in SD the straps HAVE to be inside the rub rail. DOT will eat your lunch.
Good video. Stay safe.
really enjoy your videos... Im from northern minnasota and love the snow. Im in the process of getting my CDL and am going Flatbed. Keep staying safe
Still suck in SD, keep safe all
Nr. 2.
Thanks for this vlog. For me it is one of your best. Loads of content (pun intended) that showed a very full day in the life of Trucker Josh. Take really good care of yourself. Safe journeys.
But the internet knows you are in Steinbach.. 😁
Hi Canadian high security like the White House . Safe travels.
Josh, good to see your video. Is it ok to drive with that much snow on the step deck? You’ll be spraying all the small vehicles behind you right?
I thought that was u who passed me by the #12 lol
Did you see yourself in the video?
And the other thing is once they find one violation they keep looking DOT
You have lite tarps my tarps are 100 pounds I'm not bragging 😜
How bout all that snow that’s also a insecure load ? Better clean that off or that’s a ticket also!
Hey josh, can you please greet ashley a happy birthday on your blog. She will love it. Thanks.
