Just put 5K in a savings account over time and then wait for a swell. There are plenty of short versions of this wave around the world that can give you a taste for is you could even make the take off.

So epic Koa! Love the breakdown of the barrel, the spot, the area and the whole trip in general! Obviously I've seen this wave before, I mean yeah, it really was the wave that made you and changed your life forever! It's like you were born to ride that wave. No wonder you try to get back there as often as possible. I'd love to ride it or at least see it breaking one day. Alas I'll have to live it through your eyes and vlogs. Appreciate the amazing content from a currently locked down New Zealand. Keeping me at least remotely sane during this tough time where we're not allowed to even leave the house, let alone surf. As someone who generally rides waves of about 50-60m long and considers a 100m wave to be pretty long, I can only imagine riding one of these never ending tunnels of love for minutes at a time!! Keep living life to the full and charging epic pits. Look forward to the next vlog always. Yeww!

was casually browsing google earth and slowly panning down the coast of namibia when I spotted these incredible waves breaking in the middle of nowhere. what out a doubt the best wave I've ever seen anyone ride.

I remember seeing it on Surfline or WSL from the outside of the barrel. It blew my mind. Friends posted it on FB too. This is how I 1st heard your name in the surfing world

I have recorded in Mundaka a 15 seconds barrels in the best days, which is many, many time, but 26 seconds is absolutly amazing, probably there is no wave in the world like this.

I just spent over $100 to get a sunrise shack shirt and bullet coffee pack sent to me here in Australia because our dollar rate is so bad due to covid. I don't even care though I love every single video so much and am learning better ways to live my own life from everything the smith brothers take us through and teach me.

man , I am so glad to see this . I have been many places but Namibia's Skeleton Coast is one I may never get to experience personally. Vicariously visiting thru your video at least let's me sense a small % of the stoke that a sesh there would consist of.

I remember in another video you mentioned you had one, and how you work on brain health a ton after it- I had one last year and was wondering what you did during recovery and after to take good care of brain health. In a way it’s been a blessing, as I have a whole new appreciation for my brain & implemented healthy habits to try to take the best care of it. I think our brains are more fragile than most realize! I’m so glad you’re feeling better!
@@jocelyn9421 So sorry to hear that!! One HUNDRED percent, most of the reason my life shifted so much during and after it was because I was forced to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Sitting there for hours in a dark room makes you really get to know yourself doesn't it? Definitely got me into better practices, less burning out and more meditation/yoga in combination with my daily activities. SV

So heavy. There’s just those legendary waves, like Mavs and SB, that just have the absolute eeriest vibes imo. When I think of South Africa, and massive colonies of seals, the first thing that comes to mind is White Pointers 🤦♂️ Throw in all that fog, and that water clarity for added eeriness lol
