This is the first video I have seen on your channel so I don't know the background. Personally I find with this engine you need to strip it fully apart if you want to make it good and not endless small repairs and still end up with engine that will never run at it's full potential. Especially piston rings and valve stem seals need to be changed. Also you need to make sure cylinders are fully round because that is one issue these engines have. I'd rather do those than rotating assembly bearings.
Thank you for the tip buddy I will be doing just that I will be splitting it and seeing what I have to deal with. I want to do quite a bit to it so it needs to be 100%.
TBH I pictured an engine rebuild for this, looking forward to seeing the condition of the block.
Deep down so did I but there was the hope that it wouldn't need it. However, when it is finished the engine will be fresh and nothing to worry about.
Good video I like the r53 much easier to work on but that’s my opinion get r done slow so we can watch more videos 👍
