So it is now time to tackle the horrible chrome on the Beast. Now i know some people like Chrome but personally i hate the stuff. On my hole cruiser I completely blacked it all out. So we are going to be DE-badging and dechroming the old girl and by the end as i always say it will look Sharp.
I will apologise now Ladies and Gents that i did say that i will be doing something to the headlights but after the Wrapping taking so long i didn't have time but that will be happening in another video.

The second attempt at the r/n/s window surround made a real difference and elevated the job from 'meh' to 'wow'. Nice work!

Yeah it does give it a different look. All it takes is subtle changes that can mate it look hugely different.
Think I'm gonna dechrome my grey xc90, but personally think it would be easier starting from the back of the door on a straight line, having the bulk of the wrap down and bend the smaller length last.

I've also been looking at body kits but will wait so I don't buy the same one as yours
The biggest problem was the EGR valve. It's trying to get the metal clamp off the back. Choose which body kit you like buddy as we won't clash. Can't say just yet as you will see in my next video.
@@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe I've subscribed as you're the first person Ivr seen doing what I wanted to do, funnily enough when I bought mine, I was looking up how to do some of the work and it turned out my cars already a UA-cam star haha

Yeah I was surprised. It was a subtle mod but made a huge difference.
@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe I always liked the look of them. They aged well, considering they've barely changed since 2005. And they hold their value even now.
@@andrewnevermind4902 the old ones aren't to bad. They do drink diesel mind but I do prefer the newer shape.

Looking good been thinking about covering the crome on my black s80
I am glad I did to my old xc90 as it changed the look just by doing that. It takes time don't get me wrong but we'll worth it.
I'm sorry if someone else has asked this but where did you get the volvo badge? I was thinking of trying to wrap mine 😂

Hello buddy thank you for the comment. Yes I did take off the mirror which was very easy. From memory you take off the door car and let it hang then it's one nut holding it on.
Dechroming the doors looks great. Which vinyl wrap did you use and what size?

So all I did was look up Dechroming wrap on ebay and bought some. I think they normally only come in one size. Width wise.

What wrap were you using?
I'm not sure on brand it was just some gloss black dechroming wrap off ebay.

Ow I am sorry mate I ended up selling the xc90. I was offered a price I couldn't refuse. But they are great cars and I would recommend one.
