- Sorry for the long wait guys. So this is i am sorry to say part 1 of the engine rebuild but i will make sure that part 2 is the end 😁. So this video is rebuilding the N14 lump all the way to the head gasket stage.

What was the overal cost to repair?
Hello Grumpy Sprout. So to do the hole engine for parts it cost me about 2k to rebuild. But that was including clutch and flywheel also. I went on the idea what ever came out while I am there why not change it.
@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe yes makes sense but 2k makes me wince...been looking at a Countryman 2.0d to rebuilt but .....2k 🤣🤣🤣
@@grumpysprout3505 well as I stripped it down to bare block I replaced piston rings, big end bearings and main bearings. I could have got away with a few things but while your there it makes sense. Also that was a cross between Genuine and pattern. But 2k to me that's pretty cheap.
