Ottoman Empire Series Rise and Fall - Osman I and the Rise of the Ottomans - Part 1
Вставка

- The Ottoman Empire simultaneously put fear and awe into Europe. An Empire that lasted for over 600 years with a military machine that made other armies tremble for much of its history.
This series will cover the Rise and Fall of the Ottoman Empire, starting with its founder Osman I. His life shrouded in a combination of myth and few contemporary facts. We do know he lead his tribe and expanded their territory to include parts of the Byzantine Roman Empire. This is his story...and the story of the empire he founded.

NEXT VIDEO: SASSANID EMPIRE PART 1
Leave a comment and let me know what you thought of the video. Hit that like above *if* you enjoyed it as it helps promote the video to the algorithm of mysteries...
All sources in the description!
ERRATA: Yes...Constantinople flub butchered and missed in editing...
Man i can't wait for that. I think some Sassanid kings should have their exclusive video like the Achaemenid Persian kings series. (Some of them, not all of them)
@@ramtinfazeli5106 Agreed and that is the plan. Khosro for example has to have his own as there is simply too much information to cover. IE all his reforms. Plus now that we have more information versus the Parthians I want to cover more of the stuff like economy/trade, nobility, culture etc. Working hard on the first episode now!
@@YoreHistory If you mean Khosrow Anushiravan, then you are right. Some people say he was like Cyrus the great of the Sassanid Persian empire. We call him Khosrow Anushiravan Dadgar (the just) in Iran. But he isn't the only great Sassanid king. Ardeshir Babakan, Shapur I, Bahram Gur, Shapur II and some others. Don't forget about their generals. Like Bahram Choobin and his sister and Shahin Bahmanzadegan. He even conquered Egypt but was poisoned by king Khosrow Parvis. This reminded me of general Surena.
@@ramtinfazeli5106 Believe me I have been a fan of the Sassanids for a long time so yes familiar with them. I am really excited just because we have so much more information on them. Will be great but probably a looooong series haha :)
As for Surena...it's amazing how long the 7 houses lasted in the Sassanid era.
@Soroush Toraby Ill check was working :)
This is so good... I'm actually addicted to and watching Diriliş: Ertuğrul right now, so this video really helps to put everything into context. Thanks, super informative video!
Haha thats such a great series! Cheers Cy
We still call him Bey now after watching the show Osman may god bless you! You will always be our hero and a true leader of our nation.
Finally a complete video about the man who is considered the Father of Ottoman Empire, Mashallah Mashallah 🇹🇷🌙
I have been wanting to tell this story for a long time so thanks for watching!
@@YoreHistory are you going to cover the Russian Empire in the future?, that's probably one of my favorite empire alongside the Romans
@@SousukeAizen421 I hope so...so much I want to cover. There aren't a lot of Russian Empire full series online either so its pretty ripe for the picking :) Will have to get through my list quicker lol.
@@YoreHistory I know it' really hard to make this type of video because noy much is known about Osman. Well done!
@@ibrahimwichka4380 Thanks Ibrahim. Appreciated. One of my favourite empires! Thanks for watching.
At work currently but seeing the notification for Yore History and I’m buzzing for the new series! Can’t wait to watch!

Worthy Warrior A True LEGEND
Thank you very much ! Great content as always
Truly Amazing work sir! Keep it up
Nice start to the series. You have generated lots of interest for watching your future episodes. Great work!!!
Thanks Janmejaya, appreciated!
If you were to look at a map of the world in 1300, it seems hard to believe that a small Turkish beylik in Anatolia would become one the most powerful states in the world two hundred years later.
Ottoman Empire series, lets go!
Great. Thank you Yore History! Keep up with the good work. Followed
As a Türk greetings from Antalya/Türkiye 👋🏻👋🏻🇹🇷🇹🇷
Thank you for this, ive been looking for this, and i found it, thank you

Oh it will. I have been wanting to do this series for a long time. I will alternate episode for episode with the Sassanid series.
I think this was a focus in-depth story line
I liked it a lot

Amazing history channel.
Please more videos!!!!
More are coming! Ottoman Series part 2 this week...then Sassanid part 2 before I do some new material
The beggining of the video is so good
Osman Was Pakistani 🇵🇰
Loved it.
Honestly, I'm nervous to get into this. I've wanted to know a lot about the Ottoman Empire but this is the first time I'm watching a video on a Empire and group of people where I go in blind. Here we go!
@@YoreHistory As in starting this video not knowing anything about the topic :)
@@theearlofmarch Ya i should have re-read it after some sleep lol
Watch the series Dirilis Ertugrul and Kurulus Osman. You'll love it
amazing video clean and well presented.
Thanks for watching!
Watch the show Ertgrul and Osman. It will give u a better idea and will let u know that his father also impacted the empire a lot.
I love that show :)
@@YoreHistory same
Amazing storytelling and imagination as always! Looking forward to the Sassanids!!!
Hard at work on it right now :)
great video
Thanks!
Nice!
A good history channel: upolaods a history video
UA-cam: Time to shadow-ban a good content.
Hehe ya the algorithm is a strange beast if that is what you mean? :)
@@YoreHistory I know. But, It's cruel to shadow ban a good like that. It discourages uploaders.
@@babulburel547 Well I hope its not a shadow ban :) Besides im stubborn...ill keep going.
@@YoreHistory You got shadow banned?
@@Fakeslimshady No...i thought he was joking. Then again guess you wouldn't know if you are but no reason to expect it...my content is pretty tame lol.
You should do biographical accounts of ottoman sultans, caliphs, cover Al Andalusia and the Mughal Empire as well. 💯💯💯
I like the idea that many regions that are countries now have several empires in the past but from different areas of that same region
Dirilis Ertugrul and Kurulus Osman are great series. The Ottoman Empire is really amazing!
May Allah give him heaven ameen
Osman Was iranian 🇮🇷
Makes me wanna watch Kurulus: Osman!!!
Haha great series!
Hey, just a correction, the Seljuks entered the middle east through Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), not via Caucasus.
Correct. I mentioned it as such via my narration but then forgot to edit my animation. So the two were out of sync. Apologies.
one question, many historians say that the state at the 1324 was 16000 km square, this map you made looked more than it, so, was the state 16000 km square ir more than it? at 1324??
Information.. can you make something on salahdin ayubi
I hope to cover him and his rise at a future point :)
CEDDIN DEDDIN INTENSIFIES
Lol somehow I had missed that meme but just looked it up.
God save the Tsar
WHAT ARE TOU KIDDING ME OOOOOHOHHH🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. 😍😍😍😍😍. SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES
Thanks Ahmed, hope you enjoy. Cheers!
I really like how you narrate
the events
Thanks Yusuf, appreciated!
Yeah one of the most mysterious sultans, if that's what they called him at the time, I'm really looking forward to this.
he was a bey(sir) a title that was given to the turkic leaders
Holy moly wow
Hopefully a good holy moly :)
@@YoreHistory A very good holy moly
A Quition for you!. Are you going up to 1914 with this, or to the very end of the OTTOMAN EMPIRE?
I had thought of taking it right to Attaturk and Mehmed VI but may do 1914 as the 1922 abolition while the formal really happened earlier. Haven't decided yet...your thoughts?
@@YoreHistory I think go till 1922 and the end of empire , because ottomans in WW1 are not discussed at all , the battle of kut and gelipoli ,and Ottomans losing 25 percent population
@@sheesmustafa9522 Yes will likely do that, thanks. Cheers!
Dude you should really get help from a native speaker of Turkish for pronunciation of place names. Other than that, it was nice.
😍😍😍
Kurulus osman a tv series on the founder of the ottoman empire
Osman bey the true sultan, ulul azmi, admiral jalil
2:31 watch diriliş Ertuğrul and kuruluş Osman lol
AGA LO MEJOR Q PUEDA BREGUE CON SU ENERGIA NEGATIVA NADA MAS TODOS SOMOS UNO.
Who would win: and empire that has lasted over 1000 years and are descended from the Romans?
Or
A couple horsie bois?
roman as a nation lasted for over 2000 years
Some cities are falsely placed, Sögüt was the center of the early empire
I will feature Sögüt in part 2. I had it on my maps and somehow during my edits I had a shift. Apologies and will be rectified in part 2. I will start the next episode off with a mention specifically of the capital.
@@YoreHistory I really appreciate how well you interact with your community, keep it on! Your videos are remarkable
@@IsraelAintReal I appreciate the feedback. As I can then make the next video even better. Thanks again and cheers!

There are only a few good vids on these guys on this platform so you’re stepping in fertile ground
That was my thought. My goal is to add something new or missing so hopefully achieves that :)
I can’t tell if this is a pun or not
Attaturk ftw
the myth the leged the Gazi Osman Gazi

@@Endgame707 are you ok in the head? And even if so which is impossible.. who asked
VENDRA TECNOLOGIS PARA CURAR A VOSOTROS LO VEO LA LUZ GANO TODO SOMOS UNO.
I really like the Greek Romans of the Byzantine Empire despite their conflict with my ancestors I still respect thier history, culture, and prestigious position compared to the Muslim Arabs. But, I do respect even more the Ottoman "Romans" of the Ottoman Empire as they made an empire of what left of former glory of another two mighty empires, Roman, and Eastern, which is cool when I think about it some times.
I think about it all the time :) I love thinking about what was and what could have been. That is the enjoyment of history :)
@@YoreHistory definitely!
My son freaked the hell out when I showed him the Sword of Osman. I told him that he just has to take over Constantinople and reclaim his rightful throne.
