My prayer is that our leaders will get back to Godly principles. All things are possible with God 🙏
Another timely and great discussion. Thank you
Thank you, God Bless you,
If I were to envision a modern-day parable, it might go like this: The Kingdom of God is like the ultimate All-Star League, led by the greatest coach of all time, who invites us to play our part with purpose and grace. But he doesn’t call us to enter others’ spaces to fight or force our views upon them, only to embody his love and wisdom on the field. (Just my humble opinion.)
I appreciate the discussion and agree with you.
Great lesson and wake up call for us as Christians
Good discussion!
God is not a Democrat or Republican. The good news is not Gospel + political affiliation. We are ambassadors for Christ. Our kingdom and citizenship are in heaven. Our main calling is to be a light to the world and salt of the earth which means to share the Gospel and to show the love of God - help the hungry, thirsty, naked, sick and imprisoned. This is our first and foremost mission. As good citizens of our nation we should vote accordingly to biblical truths but our political beliefs and actions should not hinder or interfere with our main mission of sharing the Gospel and being a witness for Christ.
Now that both candidates are pro-choice, who will support a convicted sexual predator, lover of strife and discord, proclaimed adulterer, unstoppable reviler, genitals grabber, church splitter, and pathological liar who is totally opposite of Christ whom they profess to serve. Some say that it's OK to follow an evil leader because God can use an evil leader for His own purposes. But doesn't the Old Testament show that after God uses the evil leader He punishes and even destroys the evil leader and followers? Isn't it also true that those who empower and support an evil leader are somewhat also responsible for the evil acts of the leader? Doesn't 1 Tim 5:22 warn us of sharing responsibility for the sins of others by being too hasty to approve servants and ministers of God which includes civil authorities like the President? (Romans 13:6)
The bible does say who you should vote for. You should vote for someone who will give you a "tranquil and quiet life full of godliness and dignity". (1Tim 2:1-2) Who can that be? It is someone who is the most Christ-like. Why? Because integrity and character matters (by their fruits you shall know them) and policies don't matter as much because many candidates once elected don't follow their party, platform, and promised policies. Integrity and character are time-tested indicators of how leaders will successfully react to and handle future crises. If voting means a choice between small Satan or big Satan then don't vote at all. We are not required to make a vote that would sear our conscience. However, Jesus demands that you walk and abide in the Truth, not in a false reality.
If your vote could greatly reduce the amount of abortion in this country should you not vote!!!!
Let's strike the heart of the matter ...
The individual's walk in the light!
Adam could NOT blame Eve.
The decline of the Church is NOT the fault of others!
GOD's usage of prophets highlighted the issue of the nation!
The Apostle Paul targeted the home for willing believers!
Therefor, personally love(serve) as many, (parable of the sower)!
And do not rely on others to get the job done! - Matthew 5:16
I was disappointed in the Church during covid.
A lot of good points.
I must say that Pr. 29:2 reveals a lot. Who in this election is more righteous? I say those who want to take care of their neighbors regardless of ideology.
That's right yet HOW do we take care of our neighbor? Through force and coercion or voluntarily. A truly free people should not be stolen from at the barrel of a gun and threat of prison. They should be allowed to give as the see fit of their own free will.
I shared this video. It's so important to get Christians to realize that their vote should be based on biblical principles and that God is watching.
So what do you do Proverbs 6 verses 16 through 19? Doesn't God HATES lying too? Or is that one of those little sins? Isn't causing strife among the brothers an abomination to God? Isn't ALL unrighteousness a sin? Didn't the bible say, if you break one, you are guilty of all? The little children being blown the smitten in schools, that parents have to ID their bodies using DNA, Isn't that grotesque to us too? Or we only concerned about abortion? Are we really pro life?, or just anti abortion?
@@michellewilson2995 see the 32:13 timestamp in this video which you didn’t watch. You are wrong to accuse people of only being concerned about one thing, and you are wrong to place other issues on the same level as abortion.
@rh9626 so is one sin is greater than another? The bible says ALL unrighteousness is sin. It also says if we break one, we guilty of breaking all of them.Lying, hate, fornication, pride are all in the same category and will cause us to lose our salvation. God has given man a choice and the ability to choose but tells us the consequences. Who is putting you or to government in jail when you sin? Hypocrisy much? We need to read the bible for ourselves.
@@rh9626and by the way, i did watch it. Its the same lesson from yesterday, only with a different guest host.
@@michellewilson2995 again I’ll refer you to the video because I’m not sure you watched it, and they can explain things better than I can. See the timestamp 14:20 for the discussion of the “lesser of two evils” argument.
Also, all sins are equal in the sense that they all separate us from God, but the Bible does actually show that some sins can be greater than others. For just one clear example, see John 19:11 - Jesus says the one who handed him over to Pilate had a *greater sin* than Pilate’s. Also you’ll see that some sins have different punishments in the Bible than others (death penalty, etc.). There are definitely different levels of sin, with different impacts on society as well.
Let's be reasonable ... Philippians 2:16
If the laws from GOD "Mosaic" could not save a "Chosen" Nation,
How does "Worldly" laws save souls in a "GOD-less" World?
Let's be personal ... Matthew 5:16
My brothers... How do you explain Rom. 13: 1--4...? my concern..please..
The Book of Daniel demonstrates both:
1) Living within a worldly nation versus 2) Living for GOD!
Just like 1) Living within the 'Laws of Nature' versus 2) Living spiritually towards GOD!
I wish somebody would tell me who are the lesser evil and tell me why because of a certain sin you don't like...
Trump is the lesser. He is against war, he is against abortion, he is for marriage being between a man and a woman, he is against woke polices such as DEI, biological men being allowed to use women's restrooms and dressing rooms, etc.
adds now..
EVERY Christian channels on YT is talking about this. It's insane.
Amen .
According to Romans 1:32, no Christen can vote democrat and go to heaven. It's time faithful preachers be more blunt. Jude 22-23
Hey you sure ain't going to go to heaven for voting Republicans with all that evil stuff going on in that party.. you have no Bible for what you're saying. Therefore you add into the word of God. Do not add or take away from the word of God
I'm sorry, brothers, but I disagree with a lot of this. We are foreigners of this earth, and our kingdom is the one Christ established. I would hope that our living in faith could influence people of the world. If the kingdom of earth becomes evil, that is between them and the sovereignty of God. We should do our duty to each other and praise God in our persecution, as the apostles did.
So do you vote? Do you consider the consequences of your vote or are you saying we do nothing and let the moral issues fall by the wayside? I am interested in your opinion.
ALL unrighteousness is sin. The bible says we are to give to Ceasar what is Ceasars, and to God what is Gods. So a man that has been convicted
So I'm to believe that man that is convicted of sexual assaulting women, bragged about sexually assaulting women, even bragged about walking in on young girls while they are changing, said he would "date" his own daughter, called women the B word, that is the man with Christian and family values? The man who said he don't ask forgiveness because he has done nothing wrong. That's the Godly principles we are to look to? The man who stroke violence and tried to overturn the government? Didn't proverbs tells us that God HATES LYING? Evertime he opens his mouth, lies fall from it. Oh, i guess those are some of those little sins that God will overlook.Didn't proverbs say that causing strive among the brethren is an abomination to the Lord? Help me understand all this. God made man with the ability to CHOSE, free will. He will hand out the judgment, as He tells us the consequences for sin. What our job is as Christians is to preach and teach the word.
Couldn’t our “duty to each other” as you mentioned include voting against the state funding and promotion of unlimited abortion? Couldn’t our duty to each other include voting against the redefinition of family and marriage? Couldn’t our duty to each other include voting against the free flow of criminals from the border and from prisons? And so on…
@luvmywings we don't look to the government for morality. We look to Christ and His church through his words. Thats why God set the church up with elders and evangelists. We are the light of the world, not politicians . So are we look to a man who is a serial adulterer, a pathological liar, filled with pride, and hate boastful, for morality? According to the bible that i read, God condemn all these sins. Yes, all these are sins too. Didnt God say that he HATES liars? A fountain cannot bring forth sweet and bitter water at the same time. I noticed that some Christians pick out two sins and high light those, but seem to disregard others. ALL unrighteousness is sin in the sight of God. There is no big sin and little sin. We should be just as outraged at the lying, and hate that comes from the former president. I don't hear lessons on the children being killed in schools now too often and has become the norm because politicians REFUSE to pass laws to protect them. Can we VOTE on that?
❤❤YES CHRISTIANS MUST BE ENGAGED IN GOVERNANCE BY VOTING
Here is where you are wrong on abortion. God allowed abortion over jealousy in Numbers 5. The text quotes God when He promises to the guilty adulterer, “The LORD makes your uterus drop, your womb discharge” (Num. 5:21 NRSV), and therefore aborts any fetus present. Some English translations render the terms here as “thigh” and “abdomen.” The Holman Bible Dictionary states, “More often Scripture regards the thigh as the seat of vital functions, especially procreation. English translations often obscure this connection,” and, “Marital infidelity was punishable by making the ‘thigh shrivel’ (HCSB), that is, by failure of the reproductive system (Num. 5:16-21).” The clearest and best translation in English is the NRSV.
Preeminence is given to the pregnant mother in injury and miscarriage in Exodus 21:22-25 (NRSV). The passage did not give personhood status to the fetus which is life for life-only the mother received that status. The Hebrew text at v. 22 literally reads “and there is no harm,” implying that contrary to the sensibilities of many, the miscarriage itself was not considered harm. The monetary judgment given indicates that the miscarriage is not the killing of a person; rather, the damage is considered one equivalent to property. The killing of a person in the same context required death (life for life-cf. Lev. 21:12-14). Translations contrary to “miscarriage” in vs. 22 are biased and wrong. The term always meant miscarriage when used for cattle. If it always means miscarriage in cattle, then it means miscarriage in this text. In the Septuagint translation of this (280-250 B.C.) text clearly understood the passage as the death of the child. The Latin Vulgate (4th C. A.D.) and the Douay-Rheims (1609 A.D.) translate the term to mean a miscarriage. It is not until recent times that the term is translated to mean the opposite of miscarriage-that is biased and wrong.
Later rabbinic teachings differentiated between life under and over the age of one month (Leviticus 27:1-9). They also rely on biblical commands to respect and choose life when determining that abortions could be performed to preserve the life of the mother.
If all infants are innocent blood spilled and murder, then you have a problem reconciling 1 Sam. 15:3 where God commanded infanticide: “Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” (NRSV). Will you accuse God of spilling innocent blood? Are those infants innocent or do they have inherited sin?
Those who argue contrary, and even use Biblical passages, never bring up these sections and the facts that they bring to the table. Therefore, their arguments are irrational because they do not consider all the evidence. They are making ill-formed conclusions if they do not consider all the facts.
Your argument is not valid. You must know who is God and the reasons why he did it.
@@sokaraphael4635 which argument?
@@sokaraphael4635 BTW, I think I do know why God exercises righteous judgement-sin.
@@gawnan8066regarding abortion
@@sokaraphael4635 Just saying it does not establish your objection. Show how it is wrong. I exegeted the passages that are normally ignored. I showed God aborting in Numbers 5:21. Quoted the passage. Showed the expert testimony on the translation. Where is your evidence?
