Had this engine in my Jato. Used an HPI RS42 header to make it work with the EZ Start. Loved it!! Also had the Jato hitting 70 - 71 mph. Have a whole build on it on RC Universe.

A few months ago I swapped a Revo 3.3 chassis into my Revo 2.5. I wanted to make a big block or the Dynamite. 19. I did end up getting a new 3.3 on Ebay for $130 couldn't pass it up.i still want to do a big block in the future.
Also need a battery for the tamiya kit I got gifted a tto2d from my buddy and I had to get my own radio/receiver witch I already had a servo and a battery to get it running it's almost done
Get that OS engine I've got 2 OS max engines and they are fantastic run all day without any messing around great trouble free nitro action

When did the 3.3 get so expensive? I remember when it was about $120 new when I used to work at my LHS. I've been running a losi 3.4 with a novarossi pipe in my revo for years. It's a great combo.
hey bro! YEs, the LOSI 3.4 is the best upgrade from NON-OS and non big block motors for sure! I think the $120 for the 3.3 at your LHS was only for the swap program traxxas has going, where you need to keep your original starter parts and exchange the motor you have for the new one. Personally I would never even consider that, but back then, there really was not many choices, before the dynamite 19 came out.
Tamiya made a nitro chassis that will fit the tgs truck body. It's chassis designation is also tgs. They share a lot of common parts with the tt01
hey buddy! I was aware of the of the TGS, you're right. It's a tad too rare for me now, that's the only problem.
Man O.S. Engines are best money can buy next to Novarossi . When I use to race My Losi XXXNT back in day, that is all I ran was O.S. Engines. Reliable with lots of power. I have a brand new O.S. 30VG and Speed Tune .12 in box that has never been popped. Also I have a Nova .28-8 port and LRP .32 , with other .28’s and .25 motors. O.S. Seems to only make race engines now and I wish they would go back to making more pull start motors for bashing. The Traxxas motors in my opinion are poor quality , very hard to tune and do not last long, although the 3.3 does make sick power while it last. NITRO = 👑

Hey Hybrid! That Semi truck kit looks like it will be a very nice project to put together! I've been using the Power Up program with Traxxas and that works out pretty well on the 3.3 engines! I like that the OS has one out that can be bolted in for a Traxxas replacement with a little more power great video and content Bro! 🤔😉😎👍💪👍📹
hey bro! what's going on! YEs, the Traxxas Power Up program is a good option for people that want a direct replacement motor. Although in modern times I would say getting the Dynamite .19 is the best solution, it's cheaper and you could at least keep and/or rebuild the old motor without much hassle, and even save money.

Hey hybrid I noticed u mentioned the os21tm is a big block....to my knowledge it's considered a midblock. Which uses a small block crank case design with big piston and sleeve . Midblocks were big years ago. Picco made the redot series mid blocks. The .26 was the one to have.

That is of Course,, if it's a EBMods OS 18TM from back in the day. Uncountable gallons thru it. Just replaced the con rod, Wpin, Wclips and engine bearings a couple gallons or so. Same piston, sleeve, and crank, As modified by Ed Bridges. It's a true survivor story. It still peels the paint happily, , every time the trigger is pulled waay back quickly!!. I converted the engine to a rotary 11L carb and a standard push push/ throttle and braking system. Got rid of the ridiculous monkey linkage pivot junk that Traxxas makes you use for throttle slide control. I think that''s why the EBMods has lasted this long. Getting away from the 11KR slide to a 11L rotary probably saved it's life.

I use to own the hpi savage X and Xl. And the first and 3rd generation Tmaxx. The Tmaxx still run to this day. But the hpi trucks I sold because parts became impossible to find.

@@hybrid32494 if you like the Saab fighter jets they have some great videos on the latest version on UA-cam. They are not as big and fast as the f35 and f22, but they are much cheaper to make and run and also they only need a very small crew and they can take off from a normal road so they don't even need an airbase!! Very cool stuff. The nitrogang likes good value. Even in fighter jets :D

hey dude! Very good point, I've thought about this issue for a long time actually. In my opinion it comes down to the manufacturing cost of a nitro motor Vs a Gas motor. The nitros have extremely high compression and high spec tolerances for the sleeve and piston (for pinch). It seems to be the variable here in terms of manufacturing cost.

Can you spin the carb around on the .28 to run in the savage ? Looks like the throttle is on the other side. I’m still running my K4.6 on my X and it’s just a beast, still going strong with a couple of gallons of fuel threw it, peace

I can’t for the life of me get the throttle lever on my .21 tm to reach the coupler mechanism beneath on my revo!! The traxxas throttle lever is too big of a hole diameter to fit.
What did you do, there’s O. S. Engine Throttle Lever 11K-R which is the Race version. But I’m tryna see if there’s a hack

hey brother! The more power the better, no denying that. But there is a functional reason why people choose these OS 21 TM engines, direct fit, and super good reliability. Ofcoure there is always something better, but the bigger block motors will need the traxxas big-block conversion kit.

Not too familiar with the Savage even though is tempting to order me one. I saw another vid where it says the single shocks on each wheel is the new improvement/changes they did vs the 8 set. Is that not the case?.
hey bro! you're not the first person I've heard that from. But let me tell you the reality and truth, there really is no benefit of dual shocks VS a single shock, the only advance is the Aesthetic "LOOK" is highly improved with dual shocks. The larger Savage XL has dual shocks, and all T-maxxs have dual shocks. Really is no rational reason other than the LOOKs.
I can see how you would care for the box since you’re up 30k subs it can really be a nice display on your back ground. For me if I was to order one (which I found there was one available in my gen area) I would wanna save it as well. The only rc I bought new was my son’s Traxxas vxl. I have one crawler one 2w elec Bandit that I stole for $50/w batt/Charger but It became a project I couldn’t resist. Is on my videos. The rest are nitros that were second hand bought at good prices. I plan on making videos of soon on I will send you a shout out brother.

I've read some forums on this question. Most of the answers scythe 21 TM will fit in a jato, but the stock header will not. Seems to be the main problem of fitting an appropriate header.

its a shame this side of the hobby (the nitro side) is on the edge of dying or surviving. on top of that according to the EU regulations and what not, because i live in the EU..
we normal customers cannot buy 20% and up nitro fuel anymore.
we need to specifically get a certificate which takes months to arrange and then when you finally have the certificate,
you can ONLY buy 20% or 25% when you go to a hobby shop that still sell it IN PERSON.. because you have to show the certificate to the seller..
I am really mad that this is a thing in the EU.. and as much as i love this hobby, i love my savage XL 5.9 even more, im not going to feed it 16% fuel.
what i am going to do is get myself 25% or higher fuel whenever i feel like it! or when i can't get it anywhere, i will make my own damn it! :D

Hi hybrid32494. I have a HPI Savege X 4.6Nitro Special Edition 2012. EU.0214/1000. It is only 1000 in EU and 1000 in US. and 200 in Asia. It has the 1969 Dodge Charger Body on it. The one you have is lake the one i have only the body is not the same. Take a lock at the Savege x Special Edition 2012 Model.
Your model savage is infact old stock my buddy had the same savage X then he gave it to hide buddy because he already has multiple 25s and 4-6's

tower sucks horizon is killing our hobbies they stopped the air plane kits and went to arfs what is the point of airplanes already built that is part of the hobby and fun is building and now with all the "e" word shit help all of us pure hobby guys also the dynamite and hpi 4.6 is made from the same man. I used the dynamite backplate on my 4.6 trophy truggy and btw the trophy truggy is a really good truck fast and tough just expensive for parts
