Congratulations on the new engine! Not yet available here... cant wait, looks awsome
That is nice!! Can’t wait to see the start and run video😎👍
Looks great. Can't wait to see how it rips. The proof is in the running!
I agree
I’ve being waiting for these a long time. Just pulled the trigger on the 3R with the new 3182 pipe/50mm manifold plus two extra glow plugs for $400 shipped to my house. You can’t touch this deal anywhere with any high end engine brand, PERIOD!
Couldn’t agree more! I think if they had a cheap quality staple engine like novarossi did the P5 they would be un touchable!
that price would be like the Flashpoint FP02 engine and pipe combo too... which is an OS engine. I have one and it rips and super easy to tune. Looking at this as a backup.
Yes the os based are a bit cheaper depending on what you get some not so much
Thanks for the vid
Can’t wait to get one
Subbed!
Thanks for the support 👍
That is insane top shelf motor thanks for sharing bro can’t wait to see you break it in 👍 cheers Tony Australia 🇦🇺
Hopping it performs good
Hopefully we can get them here in Australia 🇦🇺 always takes so much longer to arrive here lol 😂 but can’t wait been for them think worth the wait merry Christmas bro keep up the good work cheers
@@thenitronation5815 it looks very clean and well made can’t see it been crap 💩 good to have them back
Sold at Walter RC in nsw
@@davemanczak3144 after all the problems of this motor bro I will never get one but will be looking what Walter has for sale cheers mate 🤜💯💥🇦🇺
Nice congratulations bro! The cut outs at the bottom of the sleeve are so the rod has clearance during its travel because these engines (3 and 5 ports) use the extra long stroke 15.9mm x 17.5mm vs standard long stroke. Thanks for sharing bro💯🏎💨👍👍
Hey man good to hear from you
@@thenitronation5815 likewise, I still watch just dont make videos or comment as often. Happy Holidays to you and your family bro
It is definitely looking like as serious contender for winning races!🏆😎👍
Indeed it does
Great review thanks I have the B3R last Sunday club racing finished 3rd run time about 9min. The other club mates B5R finished first. Both EBIS run in. New Zealand Champs on this weekend can't what to here they run. I am blowen away with quality price. We have good support with parts as needed with local supplier.
Good to hear 👍
cant wait till you run it!
Same! It’s going to be a few months unfortunately. I can’t bring my self to brake in a new nitro engine especially like this in the cold and snow
I heard that there was an initial issue with the carb seals on the early run (carbs popping out of the inlets as a result), but has been resolved since. I'm hoping that the spirit of Novarossi lives on with these guys, particularly with the quality. All I ran was Novarossi back in the day, so I wouldn't mind switching to Nova if the rave reviews continue. Been thinking about getting into 1/8th GT, so I'd be open to try their GT road version.
As I also have a 200mm on-road sedan, I do hope they get around to releasing a .12 eventually. If they can duplicate what the Novarossi Mephistos were putting out while going a little easier on the mileage, I'd jump on that bandwagon for sure! It's a little boring when everyone is either running the OS Speed T1204, or one of the few custom brands, which are all based on that engine.
Definitely gonna get me one novarossi was my favorite engine won many of races
We’ll see when we run these but so far I’m really liking what I’m seeing
I just ordered a b3r 50mm header and pipe from serpant America 380 for the combo is a hell of a deal I can’t wait to see a break in video or something
Very good congrats!
And the fact that the b5r working rpm is up to 45k rpm. Can’t wait to see these things rippin
The fact??? have you tested the fact by yourself????
No but that’s what they advertise
That looks so good. I must get one about time a great engine great price best of luck to them. Sales will be out of this world. Get one running please someone
I’m really curious as well to see how they perform
I hope they release larger displacement engines in the future aswell. The budget b3r is only £195 here in uk which is a bargain if you ask me then the dlc is £250 and the b5r dlc is £299 not bad looking at the quality they're putting out
Larger displacement engines would be great for us bashers
@@thenitronation5815 i pray for a square .38 ,12 mm carb, and all the fixings ...basically a top tier .38 on road we can throw in anything
Any videos on how it runs and perform in racing conditions?
No, as far as I know
I wonder if the new back plate fits any of the Novarossi engines??
Good question, it very well might
Do you plan on having the engine modified? RB mods does a great job. I've had 5 engines done by Rick.
I’m thinking about it but I kinda want to see what it does stock
@@thenitronation5815 cool. All the engines I've had done were brand new. They're all screamers & run great. The reds r5r I had him do is the best engine I've ever ran.
Nice
Did you have a difficult time getting the carb to seat with the seal?
I haven’t messed with it yet. After the video I put it back together and put it back in the box, it’ll probably be going in a buggy in a month or so
Nice ❤❤❤🎉🎉
Sold out straight away in New Zealand.. the shop has actually overpriced them. Can import 30% less that our cost. But the nationals are next month and I know they are going to be run
Where did u get that enigne I need one
I said at the end of the video and check the description I put a link to all the places I know of to get one
Can us to truggy or buggy ?
bump box only?
Yes
Super keen to see how these engines hold up and perform, I think they've struck gold with the quality to price, Reds and OS better take notes 👀
I agree
Lol o.s is the best stop that lol.
Definitely super pretty though lol wonder what it looks like with my paint 😅
I can’t see O.S shutting down soon and coming back with a facelift! There’s many reason’s O.S is expensive! The main one for me is The quality of machining is not a question with Japanese engines in general! O.S has the experience
Don’t get me wrong os is my favourite and I do agree you get what you pay for.
Mine just came in today but can’t download the manual they must still be building the website
I tried it as well and it didn’t work for me ether. The website isn’t even up yet
@@thenitronation5815 kind of a bummer but I guess when I open the box and look at the engine I’m happy again😂😂😂
@@thenitronation5815 I found the old novarossi procedure seems to be as simple as 30 minutes of low rpm and then it’s ready to go but I’ll probably run 3 tanks at idle waiting for heat cycles then a few tanks of easy driving then lean an hour every tank until I find the sweet spot🤷🏼♂️
Is this supposed to be Novarossi new comeback? Who's building these I thought reds was building Novarossi lineup
This is supposed to be the new novarossi. I’ve never heard of reds building novas new line up? As far as I know it’s the same factory, same tooling, most of the old novarossi technicians but different management.
what? picco produce the REDS engine parts, assembled by MR.
NOVA Engines are being produced in the same facility as novarossi using the same machines(the ones bought by a previous engineer of novarossi and old novarossi staff) the rest were sold off by the novarossi Family.
My understanding is the Facility(building) is being leased to the owners of NOVA by the novarossi family.
Dont quote me on the direct NOVA stuff, but thats my understanding from the research done.
You missed the clearly visible scratches inside the cylinder liner. Not great for the price.
The r versions seem to be out of stock here! I guess everyone bought them
They seam to be selling like hot cakes so far
Did you get the 50mm header and the 2182?
All I bought was the engine and 2 glow plugs.
I just ordered the b3r with that combo
@@dylansowder6617 from where?
Congrats
@@nadersedaghat5694 serpant America should still have some I heard bones brew has them too
So the 25% means this engine can only be ran with 25% nitro nothing higher?
I’m not sure how it works yet I’m hoping it will elaborate more in the instructions when they become available
@@thenitronation5815 might be 25% and higher. If that's the case I am good running bones 30/10. I did purchase this yesterday with the pipe/header comb and 4 extra plugs. Looks to be a very well built engine.
I agree
It's funny. I have 6 real Novarossi .21 race engines in the box just collecting dust. I don't run my nitro hardly ne more. Been a couple years
Lol
I wouldn’t compare it to o.s by how it looks. Do this on the track Brappp
These were only first impressions. The only way to tell is by running it.
Is this what came of the defunct novarossi company?
As far as I know, yes
Send me the link to nova engine
Links are in the description
I think they are obsessed with laser etching and the quality has long gone
True lol I thought the quality was pretty good for first run
@@thenitronation5815 don’t get me wrong it’s still a nice engine! its small things lI’d like to see like evidence of balancing on the crank and closer attention to surface finish on critical areas like the sleeve, this has been covered by other channels too. for the initial design presentation it looks really good! but it only takes one flaw to ruin all the rest
Are you run yet ???
Won’t be running it for a could months as it’s winter
@@thenitronation5815 ok but you recommend buy one n can put in my truggy???
Should be fine, never ran one yet so not sure how powerful it is
It'd scream in a buggy
I think it would
You should really dump the music so we can hear what you are saying.
Gotta turn down the music. Cant hear you.
Damn I thought I had that fixed thanks for letting me know and I’ll see what I can do
@@thenitronation5815 eh atleast your the first dude to review a new product from a new company. Question is though are they prequel of novarossi or not?
From the sounds of it they are, same factory, some of the same tooling and some of novarossi’s old technicians were hired back. Just no Rossi family in the picture
You like and think Nova engines are quality....try OPS and you will never look back ....
Does ops still make engines?
Cant here you heard need to turn that music off
Not intentional, was having issues with my editing software. Was unable to have music lower than my voice than I thought I fixed it. But when I uploaded it to UA-cam it went back to the same as it was before.
now explain to me why you are taking this perfectly constructed engine apart. if it locks up or something crazy then you will accuse nova of being in fault. i have never understood this practice. this is like taking a Ferrari apart.
It’s a practice I’ve always done. I’ve even explained this in a video before. 9 times out of 10 if you get a brand new engine from any brand, take it apart, tip the block upside down, flush it out with brake clean you’ll almost always find metal shavings and even left over casting sand left on the rag. Do I want that in my brand new engine? I don’t think so. Man your going from one extreme to another there’s a big difference between removing 8 screws and taking 10 min to disassemble clean/oil/re assemble a micro engine to taking a Ferrari apart? Cmon man 😂
@@thenitronation5815 i know i have been accused of being an extremist. but i'm one that just wants to know in definition and that's okay. NOW that you've explained it that makes sense to me. after all that is a nova, that is suppose to be the Ferrari of nitro engines. kind of sad that that's what you guys have to do. but i'm sure it rips on the track.
